Fitzrovia is a neighbourhood in central London, near London's West End lying partly in the London Borough of Camden (in the east) and partly in the City of Westminster (in the west); and situated between Marylebone and Bloomsbury and north of Soho.
More about Fitzrovia: This historically bohemian area was once home to such writers as Virginia Woolf, George Bernard Shaw and Arthur Rimbaud, Bob Dylan played one of his first shows just down the road.
A few minutes away is Fitzroy Sq...a piece of Georgian design that has aged beautifully.A few more blocks away and one can view the architecture of Nash and his row of terrace houses near Regents Park.
For those traveling with young children a visit to Pollocks Toy Museum on nearby Whitfield St will be sure to delight them. The perfect place to pick up gifts for those back home! I have to admit even I go in there and I'm always in awe of the treasures of childhoods past that they have on display.Next door is their theatre print shop...again...well worth a visit. Whilst on the subject of theatre there's the Theatre Bookshop on Conway St with its numerous books on all theatre related matters.
The number of restaurants on nearby Charlotte St really is amazing. There's something to cater to every taste and budget! We can assure you that you'll love this street. This street is less than 5 minutes from the flat.
The London Zoo is nearby and this should delight all ages.
The nearby shopping on Oxford St will be a real treat for people who love to shop until they drop. From high end shops to the two very large budget Primarks, one will find something to take back home with them. After a morning strolling aroud the West End a special treat of a full English Afternnoon Tea will sure to become a special memory of your time in London. Yes, it can be somewhat expensive but it should be something that should be tried if you have the time and budget. The Ritz is by far the best in London. The Savoy, The Dorchester,Browns, and Clariddge's are all expensive but worth it.The National Portrait Gallery,The Wallace Collection and the Langham are more affordable and equally as good. Fortnum and Mason on nearby Picacadilly is also worth it. Their food hall is amazing/and even if you don't have time for the full Afternoon Tea you could buy some tea to take back with you. The tin cans are simply stunning in design.A great gift for those back home.

The apartment was clean and had everything you could need for your stay. There are plenty of restaurant choices very close and it is located near at least three underground stations. The neighborhood seemed safe and everyone was friendly. We were given a lot of helpful information when we checked in.

We had a great stay in this flat! The location was excellent, very convenient to public transit options. The flat was clean and comfortable. Jon was very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed, and also recommending some good local restaurants. Would happily stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in James' apartment. It is ideally located in the inner circle of London. The Underground and small supermarkets are close by. We got a lot of information from James' friend who lives in the same building and made us feel very welcome. We can recommend it to anyone.

First time using Vrbo in an international setting and it was great! This was such a cute little flat. Felt very homey and was very central to everywhere we wanted to go.

The apartment had everything necessary for a stay in London. the apartment had a large bed in the bedroom and a couch and chair that also made into beds. The washer and dryer were very handy. The apartment has restaurants and pubs all around it. There were also two grocery stores very close. The tube stations were within a few minutes walk making it easy to get all around London. James was wonderful to work with. He immediately responded to any questions I had. I would definitely stay there again when I visit London!

Nice quiet flat, warm, and great for getting about.

Very cozy VRBO centrally located in London with easy access to the British museum and many others. The VRBO is small but comfortable and just the right size for 2 but can sleep up to 4. The managers are just across the hall and very helpful. Fully equipped small kitchen and washer and dryer. Many restaurants and stores nearby. Easy access to underground stations also. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
4.5
Apartment was efficient with lots of light as windows in front and back. Excellent wifi, kitchen with basic supplies and bed, but limited closets so would not want to stay for more than a few days. Place needs some TLC as furniture is old and cheap, curtain ripper at top, door edge around handle dirty, chipped paint here and there. All this is cosmetic and easily fixed but clearly owner has lost interest. Otherwise fully functional and great location. Good grocery stores and restaurants nearby.
Entrance way is narrow windowless passage with very steep small-step stairs that also spiral up to the apartment. It is difficult to get large suitcase through this area. Information book has not been updated for 5 years so out of date in terms of restaurants, etc and does not have basic information like a map of the local area, instructions for stove, coffee machine, keys (front door has double locks with separate keys), shower, etc.
4.5
This flat was in a perfect location to visit museums, the theatre district, etc. with so many good restaurant choices! We were just a few short blocks from 3 tube stations – so very easy to get around. Plus, we walked 8-9 miles every day as the neighborhood is adjacent to SoHo so very pleasant treks through these London neighborhoods. The flat is not spacious – but perfect for the two of us, as we were always on the go.

We had a wonderful time in London staying at this charming apartment. We had no trouble whatsoever with the few stairs which were part of the character of the building. There was plenty of room and we had everything we needed to feel at home. Tube stations were just a short walk away and we enjoyed the walk to the theatre district to see Les Mis. Our host James was very helpful and Jon, whom we met at check-in, was gracious and accommodating. Thank you!

Kitchen well equipped.
Tiny shower.
Very narrow stairway access to flat.
Safe and easily accessible to everything.

The property was not what was listed. It was dark, needed a real cleaning and too many stairs.

We stayed three nights in this Fitzrovia property and couldn't have been happier! It's within walking distance to a great shopping area and there are fantastic restaurants within a five minute walk. The London Underground is within easy walking distance for access to the whole city. We HIGHLY recommend this property.

Fully-equipped cozy stay at perfect location
So nice, we stayed there twice! Literally, after checking out, we went to a second VRBO and were dissatisfied, and really just wanted to come right back to this place. Honestly, I can’t recommend this place enough.
Communication with the owner was seamless and expeditious and check-in/out was easy.
The place itself is cozy, but has everything you’d need for an extended stay— nice little kitchen with all the essentials, a bedroom that’s pretty spacious (for a London flat, anyways), and a nice sitting area. The WiFi was strong enough for me to conduct all of my virtual work meetings for 2 weeks.
The only caveat I’ll give is that if a prospective guest is larger-than-average in size (either by height or width), I’d note that there are a couple spaces that might be tight— the bedroom ceiling is somewhat low, and the shower is pretty compact. It worked just fine for my husband and I though.
The location is unbeatable— a very quick walk to SoHo, Regent Street, Regent Park, and access you main Underground metro lines. Also, lots of bike-share docks nearby.
Would absolutely come back to this place for future trips and would send family there.

Everything was really good! Jon was really nice, the kitchen was well equipped, the location was perfect with supermarkets close-by. Some embassies are also at walking distance (China, Poland, etc...)
The place was cozy and communication with the host perfect.
Definitely would stay here again

Good property in great neighbourhood
Recently stayed 4 nights at this property. We were late arriving but John who showed us round could not have been nicer. Flat was well equipped and in a lovely quiet part of London with tubes nearby to take you everywhere and was within easy walking distance of Oxford Street, Covent Garden, theatres etc. Also good selection of restaurants nearby. The little Greek restaurant on Cleveland Street was lovely and I would recommend it. I would definitely book this property again if I returned to London.

Great location for a London visit...
This was a lovely location for a London visit. The neighbor was lively and it was easy to walk to museums or the tube.
The apartment is great for two people and the upstairs neighbors were very helpful .
The local pub The King and Queen is a treat. We went there two nights. Also we would highly recommend the local Turkish restaurant on the corner and the southern Indian restaurant down the block on your way to The King and Queen.

Carolina Panthers take the win in London!
We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay in this flat. We were able to check in early to drop off our bags and were given names of lots of local pubs/restaurants to visit during our stay. We took her advice and started at The Lore of the Land and actually saw and spoke to Guy Richie, the owner! We were in walking distance of everywhere that we wanted to see. We saw Come From Away, partied with the Panthers Roaring Riot fans, went to the NFL game, Hard Rock Hotel, Big Red bus tour and so much more. The flat was on top of a sports bar so we never had a shortage of food & fun. Great memories were made! Would go back to this location again when our team plays in London!

Great Place
Nice, Clean and centrally located. Construction across the street but was not a big issue.

Great location
We enjoyed our stay in this Fitzrovia flat. It contains everything you might need for a comfortable stay and is convenient to several tube stops. It was nice to come back to a relatively quiet neighborhood after a day of sightseeing. Thanks, James!

Fantastic little apartment in great spot
This little gem is tucked up a staircase in a central location. Ready access to a number of tube stations and walking distance to Euston (15 minutes) with Kings Cross /St Pancras another 10 minutes away on foot. A small Tesco store and a larger Sainsbury store are a short walk away. Easy access to the West End and all major attractions. The apartment is small and access is up a number of narrow steps so if you have mobility issues or are travelling withlarge suitcases, this might not be the place for you. We were a party of four, my husband and myself and two of our sons (aged 25 and 19) and while the apartment is advertised as sleeping four (and it certainly does!) if you are travelling with a few suitcases you might have trouble finding places to put them, as the living area is taken over by the fold out futon bed. We would certainly stay here again.

Great flat in perfect location
The flat was perfect for 2 adults and a teenager over the Christmas holidays. It had everything we needed. Benedicte was great and met us there to give us the keys and show us around. There are a lot of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. It’s close to several tube and bus lines which made it perfect for exploring London. Would stay there again!
4.5
Great comfy flat in a great location.
We had a nice weeklong getaway at this flat. Comfy and cozy, it had everything we needed - a clean place to sleep and shower in between days spent checking out different parts of London. We slept well, and the street got quiet after the nearby businesses (sports bar next door) slowed down - which was not too late. Biggest issue for us was some construction going on across the street, but even that was only during the day, so it wasn’t a big problem. Pleasant owners who were very responsive.
4.5
Not up to expectation
Property did not match internet photos. Flat was a bit dated and shabby and needed a deep cleaning. The surface was ok and linens were clean but shower and floors needed scrubbing. The woman that met us was pleasant and very helpful. The location was great close to bus and underground.
4.5
Great location!
This was a good flat in a great location. We enjoyed our time here and the staff was very friendly upon arrival.
4.5
Ideally located flat and well-appointed
We really enjoyed our stay here. The flat is in a great location near nice shops and restaurants. It also has everything you need, with a nicely appointed kitchen and other facilities. Benedicte gave us a very warm welcome and was very helpful and informative. We recommend this place!
4.5
Well-appointed, quiet, central flat with cleanliness issues.
A nice, though small, one-bedroom flat, perfect size for a couple, in a quiet location in Fitzrovia. Well-appointed with good quality amenities. Good restaurants on the doorstep, and a short walk to two underground stations. A bit past its prime, and less than spotlessly clean (floors need a good scrubbing, bedding needs cleaning, etc.).
