This is a lovely property away from the busy center and with a great view. Our apartment was very private and below the rest of the property. The kitchen was spacious, and although not fitted out to cook our meals on arrival, the staff eventually provided us with everything we needed. The wifi was initially not strong enough for online meetings, but they soon worked on it and sorted it out for us.
The bed was a bit hard, and the linen and towels were substandard, although they were clean. When we negotiated on arriving to be allowed to do our own laundry as we were staying for longer than a month, the staff agreed, yet still filed a complaint against us with Booking.com about not obeying the rules. Although we found Mary very kind and friendly, we did not understand why they filed a complaint against us while we were still negotiating and sorting out all the issues. The complaint made no sense at all.

The location was absolutely beautiful with amazing views of the kachenjunga right from our room. The home cooked meals were really tasty. Mary was a great host and helped us with everything we needed. The place was beautifully decorated and made us feel like we didn't ever wanna leave. They had many pets and they were adorable. Will definitely stay here again.
The bed was too soft and not the best for a good night's sleep. The water in the bathroom took a lot of time to drain out after a bath.

Overall the property is very soothing to your eye, calm and relaxed with all basic necessities present amidst beautiful nature.. in addition extremely helpful and cheerful owners and staffs. Special mention to the Manager of this stay 'Mr Pradeep' and his team, he will make you feel at home, always there with his team at your service. Kudos to Pradeep, never the less to Mary and her parents, they are created a great property made out of love and affection.. and special mention to the loved obes that you will fall in love with are the lovely Dogs in their property.. my 5 year old still misses the youngest of the lot 'Sheru'.. his calling of 'Sheru..Sheru morning to night' still echoes, thats the memory this place has left us with !! highly recomended and book higher floors room for mesmerizing view of the valley...
All good ..

Quiet. Lawn was nice. View was ok but not facing Kanchenjunga.
The room was ok. Pillows were hard. Bathroom had bad drainage so was always wet. The room wasnot cleaned for the durationof our stay. No television. Wifi was weak. Food was simple & tasty but lunch was served very late. For the price charged our room was not worth it.
4.3
Hospitality by the person called Pradeep. He was very helpful.Scenic beauty from the lawn was too good.
No TV in the room. Our assigned room was not great.Had a step inside the room to avail toilet.

The food was simple but tasty. The rooms large, comfortable and clean. The view from the rooms was amazing.

We had a great stay here at The Gingko Eyrie. Starting from the booking to checkout; everything had been so smooth. The family suite was perfect for our need; one big bedroom, living room, kitchen and clean & spacious toilet. The quality of food was more than expected at breakfast. We asked for chicken stew for our daughter and it was perfect for a kid. They have got gardens where kids can enjoy with pet dogs, cats and butterflies. The location is around 2KM from the main market area; we could avail shared taxi for that. The distance is walkable as well as it is not steep; it took me 15/20 mins. We'd definitely love to go back.
Nothing to dislike; we wish to get a clear sky next time we travel.

1. Best maintained property I have seen recent times.
2. They offer breakfast with the room rate. It was tasty - poori/aloo paratha/rooti-sabji with upma/fruits/curd and boiled egg/omlette and tea.
3. around 2 KM from the city - which is what we wanted. Neighborhood is peaceful. But you can local taxi just in front of the property to go the city. price is Rs20 per person from Property to City and Rs40 per person from City to property.
4. If you want to walk on the road, you can go to nearly viewpoint 'Pujya Dara' which is around 3KM away.
5. Pradeep - who was our manager, is an awesome guy.
6. Spacious and clean toilet with basic toiletries.
1. Nothing that I can remember. May be the toilet room lock can be fixed - if I have to be that critical.

The rooms are exceptionally clean and tidy..Each of the rooms have their own unique interiors done and a lot of thought has been given behind the decors...We took the King Suite and the Attic room, both of which have a splendid view of the mountains..The hospitality of Mary and her family will make you feel a part of their own family..Mary's mother has exceptional cooking skills and we loved the local cuisines prepared by her..We loved the property and everything is homegrown in the farm...
The pets are super friendly and you would love to play with them..It's truly a Home amidst mother nature..

Delicious, healthy and served in time.Staffs were welcoming and serving the food.
Sometimes property dogs were too noisy at midnight.Distrurb sleep.Eventhough I am animal lover
4.3
Well maintained property and rooms. Courteous and helpful staff. Peaceful location. Tasty local Thaali
Small room with no closets or place to keep luggage. Atleast the regular room. Not a homestay. Owners don't live here. It's more like a small hotel with regular room service etc. Very late breakfast.
4.3
It was a pleasant location - peaceful and quiet. The host and the staff were very polite and friendly.
A more accurate description of the place would be appreciated. I went expecting a resort but it turned out to be more of a homestay.

Everything trust me.
The drainage system in the attic room. Water takes a lot of time to drain.

1. The view is amazing
2. Location is not too far from the Center yet far enough to be away from the business
3. The rooms are beautifully designed with private kitchens and spacious bathrooms.
4. There is an organic vegetable garden and lots of fruit trees in the property.
5. The food was delicious, would have loved to try more. The dining area (Bhansa Ghar) gives a more authentic feel into the local culture.
6. The hosts are wonderful too.
will definitely come back.
4.3
Ambience
Curtains should be more heavy, hair dryer should be provided

Everything about this place deserves a special mention. Starting from the hosts, the hospitality, the food, cleanliness of the rooms and the property in itself, this place became a home away from home for me for the period of my stay. Absolute value for money I must say.
Nothing in particular, loved everything about the place and the people.
