About this house rental
This recently remodeled two bedroom home is truly one of a kind. It is both modern and rustic with all of the conveniences that you love tucked into a perfectly charming package. Built in the 1890's, this home is an enduring piece of Pagosa's colorful cultural history and a great home base for exploring the amazing Upper San Juan Basin.
We provide all of the amenities that you expect to find in a vacation rental, plus some. Our fully stocked kitchen includes things like basic spices and oils, coffee filters, garbage bags, dish soap, dishwashing detergent etc. The dining table seats eight. Amenities for entertainment include a flat screen television (with cable) in both the living room and the dining room, a dvd player, iPod/iPhone charging/speaker dock w/ CD player, and there is of course wifi on site. We provide plenty of towels, and stock laundry supplies.
The kitchen is chock-full of craftsmanship. The cabinet frames were welded from steel and fit with boxes from a local cabinetmaker. The countertops are concrete, easy to clean and easy to work on. There are also undercabinet lights, a gas range and oven, an over sized stainless sink and all of the cookware, serving ware, small appliances and gadgets that make cooking easy and fun!
The dining room / bar is one of my favorite rooms in the house. The north wall is made of stone, with steel support beams, there is a beautiful red brick floor and the south wall is the original exterior siding. Wide, locally milled lumber; one of the beautiful details from the original construction that we were able to save. Combined with some tech lighting, an amazing custom built steel and glass chandelier, beautiful handmade furniture and a flat screen television, it's the perfect combination of old and new.
Upstairs you will find two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and across the hallway there is another bedroom with a queen sized bed. Both rooms have ample closet space. Downstairs is the bunk room, with a queen sized sofa sleeper. The house will sleep a total of six.
There is one full bathroom outfitted with a large soaking tub / shower combination and heated concrete floors. The on demand water heater (endless hot water!) and excellent water pressure are definitely worthy of special mention.
Out the back door you will find a flagstone patio, fenced on three sides for privacy. There is a six person hot tub and plenty of seating.
Sustainability was the goal in the remodel of this home. We sourced our materials locally, quite often reclaiming them ourselves, and we found creative ways to use materials that we already had. We installed primarily LED lighting and we buy renewable energy from our local electric co-op. None of these things will affect your experience in staying here, unless they matter to you. In that case, you can rest easy knowing that you are supporting local Pagosa Springs businesses, energy conservation and mindful building practices. We also live here in Pagosa Springs and are more than happy to be available to you.

We question the host's motives. Our small family has only one chance a year to spend vacation, and we always choose a VRBO home with hot tub. This property was perfect, until the owner informed us on our first day the hot tub was broken. She said the parts were on the way. However, the tub was never fixed during out stay. To my great disappointment, the owner has not responded to my requests for a partial refund, which would only be fair since we did not get what we were promised. I hope this does not happen to others who rent this home - beware. VRBO does not have a way of making a claim after an incident like this unless done during the stay. But we never knew if it would be fixed before we left. Sounds like a scam?

We love love love this farmhouse. It is our second stay here as a family and I would highly recommend it! Hot tub was perfect, you can walk to town, everything is supplied for cooking, even an outdoor grill. We brought our portable volleyball net which was great in the backyard! Beds are super comfortable and the uniqueness of the property is 10/10!

Really cool renovated home….great location to the downtown area. We felt safe there. Provided us everything that we needed while visiting Pagosa Springs. Thank you.

Very cool old historic house, redone with a modern rustic theme that was beautiful.
The host provide every amenity we needed, and we really enjoyed the use of the hot tub also.
I only suggestion would be to get blackout shades for the bedrooms, because it does get bright early. Everything else was fantastic!

Oh my gosh, it was perfect. I'm not sure it was as walkable as advertised, but we had 3 small kids. The hot tub made it very convenient to get small rounds of swimming in between the rains. Very spacious! All of the rooms were a great size, even had room for the portable crib. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. We would definitely choose this place again for future visits

We have stayed here before and it has been perfect for us over the years.

Overall nice place. Was nice to have a hot tub at the end of a long day of skiing. Great location close to downtown - grocery store, ho springs, other shopping. Some things to know - this place only has one bathroom, which we knew before renting but others may not know. Also the wood floors for the stairs and second
floor are creaky/noisy. These are not major issues, just something to be aware of. Overall we enjoyed the place.

The family had an amazing trip and the house made it even better.

Pro: Well-equipped kitchen. Hot tub is nice! Comfy sofa + chairs in living room to hang in. Clearly some thought and creativity went into design and decor.
Con: Near main road through town (hot tub stares right at it 50 yards away). 100 year old house so it’s a bit creaky when someone is moving about. Bring your own streaming passwords.

We loved the hot tub and it worked great the whole time.
Location was A+
Thank you!

We loved this house! It was stocked with everything we needed from paper products to spices. The two boot warmers were a plus. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of blankets. Unfortunately, whoever stayed in the house before us put way too much shock in the hot tub and we were only able to use it at the end of our trip. We got in it the first night and had to get out immediately. That was our only complaint:). The washer and dryer work great. The house is very unique! We would stay here again for sure:)

Enjoyed our stay over New Years! The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed and the layout is great for skiing. The space is so unique with many fun and interesting things throughout the home. Being able to just walk to many places, and having our own hot tub was really nice.

This was our 5th stay at one of the Incredible Pagosa rentals. They never disappoint. The design of each place is thoughtful and quirky. It is fully stocked, comfortable, and close to town. Ohea is wonderful and communicative. Great for a family of four. We will be back!

This property was excellent! I walked to town and to the store a few times it was such a convenient location. There was enough parking for our two trucks. We enjoyed the hot tub each night after bouncing around the beautiful mountains on our 4 wheelers. We felt safe enough that we opened the front and back doors every morning to let the cool crisp air breeze through. We will be back for sure!

We had a great stay at the cabin! We enjoyed the history of it and all of the modern touches, the LED highlights in the door frames were especially wonderful! Our kiddos enjoyed the hot tub and yard. The location to downtown Pagosa can’t be beat. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Cute little cabin. My two daughters and I stayed for about five days in Pagosa Springs to escape the Central Texas heat in July. This cabin was very convenient to the historic area. And easy access to the springs and the river activities. Everything was very clean and comfortable. All the necessary amenities were available. We all really enjoyed it.

This is the perfect vacation home for a 6 person group. It was rustic yet had all the modern conveniences, a full kitchen, and a hot tub. My kids loved the dining room and the games and puzzles under the TV. Ohea was a wonderful host and the check-in process and level of communication was perfect. We love this region of Colorado and would stay in this home again whenever visiting!

We had a great time at Ohea's house! It is warm and inviting and had everything we needed. The hot tub was great to have and very private. The location was perfect as it was a short walk to everything. The house was clean and really cool how they kept the history but made it modern too. I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for having us!

This was the perfect spot for our family after spending the days on the slopes at Wolf Creek. The house is close to good restaurants and centrally located in town. Everything was as advertised. The owners communicated along every step, even letting us know that they had the place ready earlier then the 4pm check in time. Having a full kitchen and access to a washer dryer also helped with our stay. We would stay here again!

We frequent Pagosa Springs regularly, often to ski Wolf Creek. This is by far one of our favorite places we’ve stayed, and we will be returning again soon if it’s available. This cabin has A LOT of charm…..loved it!!!!

My friends and I had a wonderful time. We came to relax, do some crafts and some astronomy. The home is incredibly cozy with so many unique features. I personally had lost my dog 2 weeks before this trip and it was a good place to continue the healing process, very peaceful and all of the people who live here are incredibly kind. One other note, one of our cars had broken down after we had checked out and the owner let us hang out inside rather than wait in the cold for the mechanic, that was incredibly kind of them and if I could give 10 stars rather than 5, I would. We will keep this place in mind the next time we come to Pagosa Springs. Thank you again.

Used the spot for two couples and it was just the right size. Well done interior with a clean hot tub and easy to use kitchen. Perfect location downtown with easy parking.

We really enjoyed this house. We loved the character of it, it was very clean, and is at a very convenient location. We were afraid of the one bathroom with 6 of us staying but it was not an issue at all. And the hot tub was WONDERFUL. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

This is our 3rd year out to Pagosa staying at this home. It’s so unique and the location is a prime spot. Cannot wait to book next year. We bring out gear and dogs and have a true getaway. The Wi-Fi is great since I work remotely so I don’t lose out when away from home. Ohea is an amazing host and there if you need anything. We go during the winter to enjoy the awesome powder at Wolf creek! Don’t forget your snow tires and tire chains during the winter!! Thanks for everything, see you next year!

House is awesome. Very well done. Nice and cozy.

Great older house that has been brought back to life! Had all the amenities that you would need and suer comfortable bed. Perfect location that was walking distance to things. Only negative is there is only 1 bathroom and could be a problem if more people were staying. Still would recommend this house and would stay here again.

We had a great time having our family Thanksgiving in Pagosa Springs. The house was exactly as described and the kitchen had more than I could have hoped for: spices, tools and small appliances. Ohea was sort responsive when I had questions or needed something.

The property was easy to find and worked well for our girls’ getaway. Everything was cozy although the pull out couch wasn’t really sleepable. It was be awesome to have a regular bed in that room. Host was easy to communicate with and amenable to a late checkout. We had a wonderful time. Thanks so much

My wife, our two dogs and I stayed here for two nights and wished we had time to stay longer. The host was great at communicating and the property exceeded all expectations. Extremely clean and super cozy with tons of personal touches that really separates this place from all the rest. The home had a lot of character and you can tell the owner personalized every inch of this place. The location was also awesome. We walked back and forth from the hot springs, the coffee shops and restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here again night time we are in the area.

This property is conveniently located in Pagosa Springs and the house has numerous personally crafted features that add character and make it unique. The owners are very accommodating and as a bonus several buck mule deer were regularly seen in the yard.

We loved this property, it’s a beautiful home right next to downtown. We were only a minute or two from most of the activities. This is a unique property with lovely touches everywhere, we loved the bar with the beautiful brick floors.
The house was spotless, and full of amenities. We were visiting with our dogs, three year old daughter, and my mom. There was plenty of space for all of us. The back patio was great and was another spot for us to spread out. Plenty of room to walk the dogs too as there is a large side yard and an empty lot behind the home.
The beds and couches were comfy and we honestly had no complaints. We would definitely come back to Pagosa given the opportunity!

A nice surprise!
We loved this house! We had space to spread it. It had every amenity you could possibly need. All the wood and metal features made it such a cute place to enjoy. Having TV with all the streaming channels was a big hit for our teen boys. And the hot tub was nice during the cooler evenings. We have no complaints and highly suggest it. A lot of thought went in to this sweet little house.
