Mixed emotions

I have mixed emotions about vivanta. It has a lovely reception area and pool area. The restaurant staff are really lovely and made us feel special. Especially Chathuri Maleesha Sahan and Noyel Karunarathne. He was really sweet. We had issues with our tv and phone, and the maintenance guys were very quick to respond and fixed the issues on both occasions quickly. We utilized the pool a lot, and the gardens are beautiful. The bathroom in our room had obviously been refurbished, and it was great.

It is really overpriced for what it is. We stayed in far superior accommodation throughout Sri Lanka with free breakfasts and enormous rooms for half the price. When you know what they pay the staff, it just isn't right. We got locked out of our room twice because they deactivated our cards. I think they just didn't check how long we were staying. I think most people stay just overnight. Our room was smelly and damp. It looked like the air conditioning was making the room damp. We couldn't open our window to air the room as it had been permanently sealed. We couldn't open the door to air it out because the corridor smelt of cigarette smoke. Obviously, we were on a smoking floor. The gym is big and the changing rooms are lovely but the floor and ceiling in the gym need to be fixed. The air conditioning must be leaking, making the roof moldy and destroying the floor. There are lots of staff by the pool but most are just on their phones. We were not asked once in the 4 days we were by the pool if we wanted a drink or food, and dirty plates would often be left a long time. We always had to go inside to get a drink or food, which is quite a distance. It's a bit awkward, too, when you are in wet togs and people are in the restaurant dining.

Sehr gutes und sauberes Hotel, das Buffet war ausgezeichnet, etwas teuer dafür aber sauber und gut ausgestattet 👍 Personal war auch sehr bemüht, würden wieder kommen.

Relaxing one night stay before flying out of Sri Lanka

Very spacious hotel and room, clean and choice of restaurants. We ate in thr chinese restaurant and the food was delicious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Ideally located for airport. Arranged a packed breakfast for us as we were leaving 6.30am for the airport.

Thought the pool area needed a bit of tlc, chairs and loungers looking tired and weeds growing up through tiles. Pool was very clean though and we had service from the bar

Fantastic place for lengthy (flight) lay overs

Breakfast good. Staff were the winning factors. My room in the old building had a strong dank smell from the air con. However, staff were accommodating. 23mt pool I swam laps in and read in the lush gardens - pool side.

Go for location only.

The location is good by having few minutes of ride to the international Airport.

Seems like being an airport hotel having more transit business staff lost the personal touch. Especially restaurant staff are not attentive, and offering a glass of water is a basic courtesy that didn't happen in our case, though we ordered Ala carte menu.

Great location for airport stopovers.

excellent facilities. Great selection of food on offer, something for everyone. Rooms are comfortable. very close to the airport so great for a stopover. We were a family with small children and the pool and play park were great for keeping the kids entertained.

Unsure if this was a one off as we stayed for 1 night over Easter weekend, but there was loud music playing until 1am then we were woken up just before 6am to someone playing a sermon very loudly on their phone right outside our door. Consequently we had a rather awful night’s sleep!

They picked my daughter from the airport late evening and helped her to get a local sim, I arrived very early in the morning and the same guy picked me up as well, bought me a coffee and brought me to the hotel, very friendly staff!

very elegant rooms and design very spacious and modern bathroom very nice landscape garden very nice place for photoshoots

the elevator is misleading, you don't know what to press to go from your room to reception. the prices are very high compared to other same quality hotels in this area.
