Lovely place to relax for a couple of nights after our long flight

Tres bon séjour dans cette établissement

Le fait que la villa est sa son entrée privée est appréciable. L’ensoleillement de la piscine le calme dans l’hôtel le personnel. L’un des seuls hébergement du pays à avoir un vrai salon. La disponibilité du personnel et sa réactivité. Établissement très bien entretenu

La pression de la douche et le fait qu’il n’y ai pas de Clim dans le salon mais seulement dans les chambres

La location géographique, chambre spacieuse et bien équipée avec frigo, clim Personnel adorable et arrangeant pour les heures de depart et d'arrivée, petit jus de bienvenue

The villa was lovely, has a kitchen and living area at the from of the villa with a separate bedroom including ensuite. AC in the bedroom with ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. AC unit was quite for sleeping. Stunningly well-maintained garden makes for a pleasant environment. The staff are very kind and helpful. With some pre chat to organise with the hosts, we enjoyed delicious breakfasts of different styles each day, continental, Sri Lankan and Indian style!

Very best accommodation we stayed at. Value for money is exceptional.

Sujeewani Villa was the very best accommodation we stayed at during our whole trip. The owner and staff were super friendly. Rooms, Garden and the Pool look exactly like in the pictures. The garden and pool gets maintained almost daily and is in super condition. We booked the One-Bedroom Villa, which comes with a huge entrance room with a kitchen and a little living room area with a couch and a TV. Then you have a very spacious bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, AC and a fan. You have a cupboard and extra space for your luggage. Wifi works super good in the entire villa and also in the garden at the pool. The Sujeewani Villa is super close to the beach, maybe 2-3 minute walk and to a touristic strip with lots of restaurants, shops, etc. The accommodation is at the end of a small street, the gate open 24 hours, so its also quiet at night. The breakfast was nice as well. Nothing to crazy but a good meal to start the day with a lot of fruits, toast or pancakes. The value for money is exceptional.

Maybe a mosquito net or just a hook over the bed would have been useful. We have our own net but there was nothing to hang it on.

Everything was fabulous for our 2 night stay. My husband was unwell and the host made a special tea, checked on him and made sure he was ok. He was very generous and kind to us. The pool was fantastic also.

Lovely location, very quiet but near all restaurants and shops. Very big room with all the comfort you need. The bed was huge and the matrass very comfortabel. Breakfast huge and delicious! Nice pool and well maintained garden. Thank you Milan!

comfortable and convenient

the bungalow was lovely and nicely laid out, quiet, with a nice garden and just across from the pool. Breakfast was superb and plentiful. and the host drove us to the airport the next morning, a nice touch :)

we could have done with a couple of pans in the kitchen for preparing the babies breakfast and dinner, and the host could only accept cash, we weren't aware of until we arrvived. Nothing major though, ;)

Amazing place to stay with best service

The staff was so welcoming and friendly! They went out of their way to make our stay special. We arrived way too early in the morning at 4am, they checked us in early and even gave us a mango juice. The manager helped us with our laundry and even let our sick friend stay with us for the day before her flight. The rooms were spotless, spacious, the bed super comfortable and the shower amazing and hot. We loved our stay and cannot recommend this place enough!

Everything: the environment in a quiet beautiful garden with flowers and palm trees, the swimming pool vey clean, the proximity of the sea and the warm welcome by the small staff always heping with a smile...

Beautiful villa and the perfect start of a holiday in Sri Lanka

The perfect start to our holiday - beautiful and quiet setting (close to the beach and town but at the end of a cul-de-sac so no ongoing traffic noise). The villa has a stunning garden, a clean swimming pool, generous and delicious breakfast. Spacious accommodation and perfect if you are traveling with young children. There is a kettle, tea, coffee, and sugar provided. Milan is a lovely host, who will answer your questions and try his best to make your stay enjoyable.

*No mosquito nets. *Some of the sheets were stained, but upon raising that with Milan, they were changed immediately.

Huge breakfast, very tasty. Nice pool, perfect after our long flight to get here. The kids jumped straight in even though the sun was going down! We left a passport at the hotel and the owner very kindly arranged to meet us in Sigiriya so we could collect it.

Exceptional

Absolutely fantastic. The owner couldn’t do enough for us. The villa was huge and spacious. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka - absolutely massive with lots of fresh fruit. The owner arranged a massage and our trip to the airport. Super clean villa - we had a late check out due to our flight and could use the pool until we left. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Great little find, just a few mins away from the mayhem. Beautiful gardens and pool!

So happy that we chose to stay here in the end! Lovely property with gorgeous gardens and a refreshing and pretty looking pool. Just a quick 3 min walk away from the main strip and beach which was perfect as you couldn't hear all the music and noise! Great location for whether you are after a night out in Negombo, or have a flight the next day and need an early night! Best of both worlds. There is air con as well as ceiling fans in the rooms, lots of cable channels on TV, a full kitchen and lounge etc. Beds were comfy! Great value for money too.

A superb base for arrival and departure and an oasis in the midst of busy Ettukala, Negombo.

The hosts of Sujeewani villa - esp Chana - could not have been more helpful. The breakfasts provided were excellent - fresh fruit (lots of it), freshly squeezed fruit juice (sometimes mango, other passion fruit, other water melon and others), pancakes or sweet French toast and then beautifully cooked omelette or perfect scrambled eggs on toast. All lovely. The pool is not huge, but ample to freshen up, cool off and have an invigorating swim - albeit that 8 decent front crawl strokes will get you from one end to the other. It wasn't used much by other guests whilst we were there, so most times we had it to ourselves. Chana arranged transport for us for day trips when required. The shortage of diesel in Sri Lanka (it can take half a day of queuing to fill up) and of course the Sri Lankan driving code - known only to Sri Lankans - and just suicidal to anyone else - means you DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE YOURSELF WHEN THERE. Our driver (Laksitha - aka "Lucky") was however charming, helpful as can be and, in devoting often 12 hour plus days to us with his nice air conditioned van, great value... note he THEN had to queue for diesel after looking after us. Access to the Ettukala region of Negombo - the bit with most of the bars and restaurants - is a mere 5 minute walk from the villa. Esp recommend Lord's, Queens and Jude - all great. The beach will take another 2 minutes. All in all, a great base for a holiday in Sri Lanka if you want to travel out but, as many of the prettier bits are a way off (esp in the South of the island) then maybe an even better arrival point for a day or two and a final base before flying home from Colombo airport.

The room was spotless on arrival, but cleaning whilst you are there doesn't happen much. That said, if you merely mentioned to Chana that you would like it done, then cleaning (or anything else) is sorted the same day.
