About this house rental

This comfortable 3000 sq. foot custom home has three bedrooms , the master bedroom is downstairs, each bedroom has a king bed with top of the line bedding and a flat screen TV. We have additional beds located in the family room there are two sleeper sofas one is a Queen and one is a Full There are 2.5 bathrooms, two with large luxurious soaking tubs and showers, and hair dryers. House is furnished carpet , hardwood flooring and furnishings. Located just two blocks from Main Street, walking distance to Ferndale's great restaurants, bars, art galleries and retail shops.The kitchen has granite countertops and is completely stocked with everything you need to prepare a large meal and stocked with basic condiments. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator(ice maker) , dishwasher, stove, microwave, oven, coffee maker, keruig, french press, Kitchen Aid mixer, blender, service for 24, rice cooker, waffle maker, toaster oven, toaster. The Laundry Room has front loader washer and dryer, iron and ironing board and steamer. The large comfortable living room has two large leather sofas a flat screen TV with DVR and DVD player. The kitchen and living room share a two way wood fire place, wood is provided, large selection of books too. The family room which is located upstairs has two sleeper sofa a flat screen TV and DVD player and many board games for your entertainment. The house is equipped with WiFi, telephone and DVR and Roku TVS . Dining room table seats six but there is additional seating at the counter. There is an outside shower, a gas BBQ grill and outdoor seating. There is a printer, fax and copy machine. We do charge an additional 20.00 per person per night after 4 guests. We charge a pet fee which is 30.00 Per day/ Per Dog. NO CATS! We have a door bell camera that helps us monitor the number of pets and guests.

Sweet Retreat was absolutely everything you could ask for. We love to cook and there was EVERYTHING you could possibly need in the kitchen. It rained the first night we were there and the fireplace was beautiful. The beds were super comfy and the place was immaculate. Thanks for the wonderful vacation......Patty B

This is a great house and location for a family to gather and celebrate. We enjoyed the amenities and the ability to just walk the town. When we had a problem the response from the house manager was prompt and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

My mom grew up in Ferndale and I came here every summer visiting my grandparents so this was an amazing place to stay and take in everything Ferndale. Easy walk everywhere we wanted to go to and explore. Spacious and comfortable. Perfect house for a perfect getaway.

We stayed Monday thru Saturday. A great bit roomy comfy extremely well-stocked house! just like the listing says. The big yard was perfect for the dog - he could lay in the garage on cool cement, or go on the deck and look at us in the house and he could trot around the corner passed the enormous hot tub into another little courtyard to do his business. Perfect! The decor is beautiful. The furniture is heavy and sturdy - giant leather couches that recline. The kitchen is huge and we cooked breakfasts every day. The location was fantastic. We walked from the house to dinner downtown each night and to and from the Shaw House Inn where more family was staying. The big quiet comfy bedrooms were heavenly retreats from each other. The town is so quiet and peaceful and beautiful - every home is a piece of art. Every other home has a gorgeous garden. We walked to morning mass twice and adoration. The museum was literally across the street!!! and same with the pizza/salad bar/pasta restaurant. We all had the best time. My mom said it was the best vacation of her life. My brothers were relaxed. I am so grateful to have rented this home and so incredibly happy to have found Ferndale! The first visit for all 9 of us!

We actually had to cancel. My son's chemo reactions had overwhelmed his system and he was too sick to travel. They were so gracious about cancellation. We have stayed there before and this home and its management are the best. We hope to get up there shortly when his health improves.

We could not have asked for anything more! The place was so beautifully appointed and comfortably furnished. The beds and linens were wonderful. And since we had our dogs there for the dog show, the courtyard and backyard were perfect. We would book this place again in a heartbeat

This house is only a short walk to the cute Ferndale downtown. The house is Victorian on the outside and modern on the inside. I tried to convince our party to christen it the light switch house, as there are numerous light switches. The fireplace was a hit with the teens. The electronic door lock meant we didn't have to pass around a key letting anyone take a walk without fear of being locked out.

Ferndale is definitely the gem of the area. The house is three blocks from downtown. From the fireplace in the kitchen and living area (with firewood),to the bicycles in the garage, I don’t think we could have found a better place. The kids rode the bikes in the neighborhood and to downtown. We would walk to the stores for food and shopping. If you are going to this area, this is the place to stay.

Location is absolutely perfect. Beds, linens, decorating are all welcoming and very comfortable. Kitchen is massive, very well stocked and although we did not use it to cook any meals this time, I can see how wonderful it would be to cook in this kitchen and share a meal with family. The lay out of the house is great with the master bedroom/bath downstairs and two spacious bedrooms upstairs along with the TV/reading/work area upstairs as well. Hostess Toni is wonderful to work with. Check in/check out was super easy and flawless. I highly recommend this vacation rental. Ferndale offers such great options for food and drink too, which is so nice to be able to walk to from the house.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was great, with lots of space for our group. It was a good location with places within walking distance. We were disappointed that the kitchen and dining area wasn’t clean. There was dried food on the table, dirty dishes in the oven and dirty counters . We had to start our stay by cleaning the kitchen. This was not what I expected.

The property is very conveniently located and very comfortable. Ferndale is a cute little town. My only suggestion is that there be explicit instructions for check out. we couldn’t find any and we looked everywhere in the drawers and on the tables - it may be that someone walked off with them by accident. This home is well set up for a group of people because it has both of downstairs and an upstairs family room the kitchen is good sized and it’s beautifully furnished.

Each one of our family enjoyed this luxurious home. It was just a block from a quaint little town. The bedrooms were magazine-worthy, and we enjoyed family time together in the comfortable den. The home was meticulous and the kitchen was stocked with helpful things! The only thing I would have felt better about is a nightly rate posted that includes 6 people which is what it comfortably sleeps as it contains three bedrooms. A charge for every person over 4 people is added which doesn't make sense to me. So of the three couples and a baby in our party, we paid an extra charge for 3 of the 7 each night. Since there was no other home in the area that met our needs or a hotel in which I was familiar we chose to splurge on this house. This is all written in the home's description, but I've never rented a VRBO where one has to pay extra for people who fit comfortably in the home. With that aside, I HIGHLY recommend this home. Our entire family felt like royalty there.

Toni’s Sweet Retreat in Ferndale is simply the best! All of the beds are really comfortable with cozy bedding! The kitchen is very well appointed; which makes cooking a breeze! The house is within walking distance to Ferndale’s Main Street shopping area. We will definitely be back to stay again!

We have stayed here before, and love how close it is to town. Once we park our car, we don’t use it again till we leave town. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is wonderful, the hot tub is a bonus.

Premium quality property. Will be back. We used it as a base camp for our fishing the rivers around the north coast. Everything about the property was first class. huge comfy beds and bedrooms. Great kitchen and a wonderful hangout space. The hot tub was a plus. Everything you could think of they had. All cooking equipment, grill, Furniture, Electronics etc. were top quality. Quiet safe neighborhood about one block from quaint little downtown Ferndale. .Loved it
