We loved the house so much. I was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do in the area. We hiked in Russ Park, shopped & ate downtown, and enjoyed sunsets on the beach. Ferndale is magical!

Comfortable well appointed plus thoughtful extras. Fresh cookies in the kitchen and waters cooling in the fridge, the host went above and beyond with effort. The house was immaculate and just the right mix of victorian theme and 21st century creature comforts. Stay here when in Ferndale.

The home was lovely. However the whistling going of next door not so nice.

From the second I walked in the door my shoulders relaxed. Peaceful, clean and beautiful. Jean even had a cookie waiting for me! The kitchen is wonderfully stocked with basics to get you started, everything is labeled so you know where to find things and her instructions and information was perfect. I will be back!!!!!

As good as it gets. The only issue was the fire siren going off from the public safety building nearby in the early hours of the Friday morning! But after a half-dozen 'blasts' it stopped and we went back to sleep-no harm done-just a surprise!

This property is all that's advertised and then some. My friend and I felt at home immediately in this lovely Victorian house. The house is meticulously detailed, extremely clean, comfortable and cozy. Would definitely book again if traveling to the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Beauregard! The house is beautifully decorated and furnished. We stayed over Thanksgiving Holiday. The oven was small, but adequate, to cook a small ham. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the ambiance of the fireplace in the living room. We used all of the appliances and they all worked great. We even enjoyed some appetizers in the back yard. Don't miss the No Brand Burger Stand next door. YUM!

Starts with the owner who is lovely. Then entering this charming, more than we ever expected, little Victorian dream house. Spotless & welcoming, beautiful furnishings, and complete comfort. Everything you could want or need is graciously provided. The town, the people, the “giants”, what a fantastic getaway! Thank you Jean!

The house is beautiful. The pictures don't do justice to how wonderful it is. I would not only recommend it to others, I would return and stay again!

The Beauregard is a charming and clean Victorian home with plenty of space and all the amenities you could want on an extended trip. We spent a few days here with the family visiting Ferndale, Eureka, and the Avenue of the Giants, and loved our return to the house each evening.
Jean is a gracious host and makes every effort to go above and beyond.
We're so grateful to have stayed here, and can't wait to return!

Wonderful place
PROS
Well kept home inside and out. Spotless, not one speck of dust. Everything is labeled in the kitchen area. Well supplied kitchen. Comfortable bed. Jean had flavored water, bottled water, coffee and goodies for us.
CONS
This place is not for anyone with a mobility issue (bad knees). Queen bed was too high for me at 4'11, I used a stool to get in bed each night. I needed assistance getting in and out of tub/shower (Tub is higher). TV in the master bedroom doesn't work. TV in the living room doesn't have regular news channel with local weather.
Overall
If you don't have mobility issues or short this is a perfect place.
I wouldn't bring children here.

The Beauregard has a wonderful Victorian atmosphere. The home was located centrally in Humboldt for our purposes. we were able to sight see and visit with family fairly easily. There were a few days that Fernbridge was closed for repairs and we had to use Blue Slide Road, but it was not too bad of an inconvenience. Jean had the house well stocked with essentials and creature comforts. We enjoyed our time spent there and in the area. It just made our vacation all that much better! Will definately use again, if available!

The house is sweet, it has everything and the location is great. Close to Eureka and Fortuna.
We were here in the winter so most of the business were closed. Limited on restaurants and the service was not good so we preferred to travel. We would stay at the house again. Jean was very helpful and the house was perfect. Thank you for everything.

This charming Victorian is on Main St. in quiet Ferndale. It’s amazing to experience staying in a Victorian in a town known for its Victorians. This was an easy booking, with plenty of lovely touches. the hardwood floors are stunning. Extras like cookies and milk, extra clean sheets and towels, coffee, and everything had labels and instructions (cabinets, lights, appliances…) and a binder full of fun local activities. This stay was a breeze. I’d love to stay there again.

Beautiful house with great amenities. A little less than a mile walk into the heart of Ferndale. So many beautiful Victorian houses and gardens to keep your camera busy on your walk. So many wonderful shops and restaurants. About 5 miles from gorgeous Centerville Beach. Enjoyed the friendly laid back atmosphere of the town. A true vacation.

Very nice home
Our visit to Ferndale was made more special with our stay at Jean's place. The home is spacious and nice, and the location near to downtown was perfect. Jean was quick to respond to our few questions and helped us to feel comfortable in her home. We had a great time!

Charming cottage
It was such a nice surprise to stay in such a charming Victorian cottage that has so much space and with all the accoutrements that made this so special. Love that it’s literally walking distance to downtown.
The cottage is well furnished with everything one will need to enjoy a peaceful and memorable vacation—- coffee, tea, creamer, sparkling waters, and welcoming and probably homemade cookies!
The yard was just perfect for us to play fetch with our furry child. It also helped that the local veterinarian is just a few houses down the block :)
If I had a concern it would be for the decorative knick knacks that curious youngsters may play with and possibly break! If I were the owners, I’ll probably put these away. The cottage is charming enough without them.
All in all, a truly enjoyable stay. Thank you.
