Location
The place is horrible. There are a lot of people living in the hostel and is impossible to use the kitchen. Also there are always people drinking alcohol in the kitchen. Rooms has a lot of bed bunks but the space is not enough for all the people. Baths are really really dirty.

The staff were super friendly, even when they were very busy.
The common areas smelled a little like curry or some strong food and some people kept talking in front of my door at 1 am in the middle of the week, but when I asked them to tone down their voices they did, so nothing major.

Good price, good location
They should do something to make sure that guests keep the room clean.

Assitance during my booking were so nice, receptionist help me out with any issue.
They manage a list for people who does not respect the rules inside the hostel to separate them from customer group,
Could be that they do not have activities to share between customer.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was great. Easy walking distance to the sky tower and the waterfront. Off road parking was fantastic.
The property was obviously tired w/ old however it was obvious that upgrading was occurring.
ie fresh paint
It appeared that it was more of a long term boarding house than a backpackers accommodation.

Staff gives 100% to help guest. Female receptionist Pooja she takes instent action if someone misbehave with any guest. Staff is hardworking and friendly. I made lot of friends and best memories. Money value is reasonable.
Some guest who don’t respect things

Its the heart of central, can access to all. The room are big enough for 10 people. The room, toilet are clean.
The stair is stiff and the staff in the kitchen scarted

Sometimes They open till 11:00
I booked online on that day but I can’t stay there because receptionist told me it’s already full and I wait there and try to book another place and I seen that one new customer comes up there and receptionist lady name Pooja booked another 3 more customers after me…. And that’s why I was really upset and I ask them why you did that, then she replied to me I want you to sleep on the road, which is very unexpected reply from a receptionist… I think she did just took it personally because once she said that she don’t like Indians and I am from india and that’s hurt me a lot… I used to stay with Silverfern many times and that property was just like my home but she spoiled everything just with her personal issues…

Safety management sucks …. The monitor is dedicating, you’re stealen everything just as long as they could found i don’t know what people lived here, stealing everything and can’t get it back anymore!….

I liked this place; you get exactly what you expect to reach for the price you are paying. Late check-in is possible; located very conveniently. I had a good sleep during the night and left early in the morning.
Nothing. I like that I got what I paid for and nothing more: cheap price, a great location. You can't beat it!

Pleasant lady at the reception
Some old dudes living in the room for long period of time, acting very weird. Old hostel, some wears and dirtiness

I only like the location and the stuff at the reception
the room of female was so mass and the both room didn’t get clean ( according to the roommate said) the floor was wet and the carpet was a lot dust. the bed pillows like a rubbish.
we did not sleep until 3:45 am when all the roommates getting to their beds. one roommate was talking at the phone at 3:30am.

it's the cheapest place in Auckland so I guess I got what I paid for. the location is perfect, less than a kilometer from the center bus station.
it's the cheapest place in Auckland so I guess I got what I paid for. The rooms were incredibly compact, only 4 toilets for like 50+ people, the showers fixed on a certain heat and water pressure.

there was absolutely nothing I liked about this Hostel!
everything was dirty: kitchen, rooms, laundry facilities, bathrooms (there was mold everywhere!)
staff did the absolute minimum, no effort
kitchen was empty; had like 5 plates, 1 pot, 3 pans, not enough for a hostel
BUT THE WORST THING WAS:
I booked a mixed! dorm and it was me (a girl) and 11 men! not even guys, grown up men! and I just think you can’t do this to a young girl traveling on her own.
I told the reception that I feel uncomfortable and that it’s not mixed like that and they said it’s my fault cause I booked a mixed dorm room!
People were weird and rude, everyone was staring at me and didn’t leave me alone.

good location close to sky tower
noise from outside of the building and nearby buildings in the middle of the night.

Everything.
Nothing.
2.5
Location. Clean linings. Staff.
No ventilation let alone AC. The rooms are overheating and unlivable during day time. The room was sardine packed small. The bathroom floor is soaking wet (with hopefully water). Due to the heat the front door is always open which makes it less secure in Oakland central.
