Bed was comfortable.
Amenities were insufficient. Bottled water in the room had already been drank from. Noisy. Very slow service at meal times and somewhat stifled/didnt come across as hospitable. For the very high cost of everything, expectations weren’t met.
4.7
Rotting smell in the room; management completely absent, did not fix the issue. And it’s been impossible to talk to them since.

het was een sprookjesachtig mooi hotel. supervriendelijke bediening, fijn ontbijt.
4.7
Lovely rooms, fantastic food, friendly staff. Absolutely lovely stay.

Rooms were spacious and very comfortable, staff were lovely.
The location wasn't ideal - it was well out of the way and much further out of Portree than expected. After a long day of driving, it wasn't great. We would have also appreciated some dining options in the restaurant. The only option was the tasting menu which was expensive and again, after a long day of driving, we didn't really feel like sitting down to a 13 course degustation. We just wanted a quick bite but this wasn't available in the restaurant, and because of the location, there were no other nearby options.

The building is 480 years old but facilities are new and high quality. Rooms are large and clean. Very good breakfast. There is a beautiful playground just outside the hotel - perfect for kids.
It’s not cheap, but probably in line with other hotels for the season and location. Would be better if restaurant can be open on Mon and Tue.

Dinner and breakfast top. As for dinner the local chef from Skye- with a few improvements - could compete for a Michelin star. Service outstanding.
It s a bit bare bones but that is what one would expect. Phone /internet did not work but good for shutting out the outside world!

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Recommended hikes, timing to drive specific places, and had local suggestions. We hadn’t booked dinner, and they reached out to us prior with their dinning offer. It was a 10 course tasting menu that was fabulous! Would not have expected such a treat.
Can’t think of a thing!

Edinbane Lodge was very quaint looking with nice decorations and color schemes. The breakfast was delicious with a nice variety to choose from. There were teas and instant coffees, cookie packets and a kettle in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a nice central location, especially for going around the northern peninsulas of Skye. It was a quiet place to stay unlike bustling Portree.
Our room was pretty small. We felt like the cost to stay was too expensive for the value.

Staff and accommodation excellent
When booking it was not clear that this was a Gourmet Restaurant first, with rooms. After travelling all day, we were extremely disappointed that the restaurant only serviced a taster menu, which was not evident in any of my correspondence. All of the group were tired and didn’t want to spend over 2 hours eating. Having said that, once we had sorted out our requirements, the food served was excellent, and breakfast was amazing.

staff and location

An exceptional experience in a quiet relatively remote location on Skye. Had dinner / tasting menu second night - Calum Montgomery is absolutely amazing. Room was excellent. First class service throughout from a very professional very friendly team, without any pretence. A real gem.

Just had a faultless stay at the Edinbane Lodge. We didn’t eat dinner there but we will next time. Lovely decor and facilities, and excellent, professional staff. Also next to a great pub and an amazing pottery - which is used throughout Edinbane Lodge. Thoroughly recommended. What a treat.

Amazing breakfast, cosy place

Friendly people, nice location (albeit nicer spots abound in the area), good sized room.
The fact that breakfast was only served after 9am (and very slowly, without being exceptional qualitywise) was really annoying. The dinner was very good, but slightly overpriced for the quality.

Nice place, excellent restaurant, good staff! everything was perfect!
I liked everything!

Location was great for seeing Isle of Skye, I felt it was centrally located. The staff was warm and welcoming, I felt like they knew who I was upon arrival and was walked up to my room and shown around. Any request we had was exceeded, I cant wait to someday return here, best stop in our two week visit. I wish we stayed longer!
Maybe carrying bags down a flight of steps but I am reaching for a negative because they carried them up!

Micheline awarded chef in the kitchen is impressive with his dinner tasting menus. Breakfast was exclusive as well. You can choose from a variety of starters and mains for breakfast which is an excellent idea. We loved it all – tidy and cozy rooms, beautifully furnished common rooms, and the best food. The Lodge itself is a well-reconstructed historical building. Very romantic. And I mustn't forget to appreciate the very high quality and professionality of the staff.

Tasting menu was exceptional, breakfast was divine, room and hotel was clean, comfortable and smelt beautiful. Staff were excellent.
weather on arrival but that wasn't your fault at all!

Beautiful property, great location.

The Lodge was beautiful. It is in a sleepy, but beautiful, part of Skye. It feels like a real rest. The staff was absolutely wonderful. We also enjoyed the 10-course tasting menu at the restaurant. This was a lot of fun and a real treat. Finally, the beds at the Lodge are the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on in a hotel. We would happily return anytime.
Nothing.

The room, the character of the lodge and a fabulous dinner and breakfast.

it was cozy, the food was amazing, the people were nice - couldn‘t have been better! the room was clean and there was a free standing bathtub :D they arranged an extra blanked for us and made the best breakfast ever.
if i have to name something: the pillows were a bit too high.
