Great location, convenient stay

Location was great, the ventilation of the rooms was great, clean & had a good sleep, value for money

The bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner, maybe the bunks could do with an upgrade to provide a bit more privacy as you sleep

I would 100% stay again the next time I come to Auckland!

Staff are very responsive for Kate check in, just call the number on the door. The LOCATION of this place is PERFECT!! It’s right by the Skytower…so no matter where you are in the city all you have to do to get back is look for the Skytower! So many things to do nearby, and also great food, even next door at the chicken place which stays open until 3 am. There’s a bottle shop next door also. A full grocery store about a block away. Pubs and casino are the next block over.

Don’t put anything in the FREE area of the fridge…it will disappear. Also, keep checking on your refrigerated items because other people will move your stuff the the free section and then it will disappear.

Good to meet people, nice staff but could be cleaner

The location is really good, really close to the sky Tower, the bus station, city center, Countdown,... Most of the staff was really friendly and helpful Met nice people over here Beer pong Tournament was nice to meet some people Tv room with Netflix

The kitchen is dirty and needs a deep clean and a whole new equipment. There is not enough space in the fridges or shelves. There are flies on some food boxes. The rooms are messy, seems like some long term don't consider others and take all the space/lockers No window in my room. Apart from being messy the room was clean and bathrooms are clean as well (just need some more soap or toilet paper)

awful, didn’t even stay. felt belittled by rude staff who were unhelpful and no refund

not much. i liked the location but i didn’t even end up staying there so it didn’t even matter - just made it easier to get somewhere else

the staff were unhelpful and we as three 20 year old women felt unsafe in the room we were given. we asked to switch to the women’s only room and it would have been an extra $70 each which is complete bs. having to pay $70 to feel safe/ away from a bunch of men? the women’s room had no differences so this was just a stupid amount to pay for that. We decided to leave as we did not want to pay this and was refused a refund

Dirty Rooms & No Ventilation

Unfortunately no part of my stay was of the expected standard, even for a budget hostel. The location was very central, but this did not redeem the problems at the property.

Dirty bedding upon arrival, mouldy ceilings, cold showers throughout the day, filthy stuffy rooms with no windows or A/C and no functioning lockers to store possessions. The staff team were very unhelpful when approached for assistance. I would not recommend staying here, it would be worthwhile searching for a property elsewhere. See photos below.

Very good

Great place to stay, very social hostel. The staff was really nice and helpful, helped me find my wallet when it went missing. Great location, a block away from queens st. Not too many negatives, personally wouldn't like to stay there really long term but great for a week.

The kitchen was really crowded, people were loud in the middle of the night, the kitchen is cleaned right around d lunch time which is rather inconvenient for most people.

Avoid this one, unless you want a party hostel

Horrible stay. No quiet policy at night. Guests partying at any hour in the hallways (staff doesn't ask to be quiet and join them as well, one of them was taking with a group in the hallway at 4am!). Toilet bins floded with paper towels. I always stay in backpackers. This was the most expensive ($42 for 1 night) and the worst

The location was great and the facilities that were offered for the price was also not bad

some staff members were rude we didn’t have clean bed sheets the first night we stayed there. we even tried to call all the numbers around the building for assistance and nobody answered or the number didn’t actually work. they changed the bed sheets the day after but did not offer any fees back which was frustrating

Location in the city was good

Staff were very un helpful from the moment I checked in. The entry to the building is like walking into a dirty public toilet it was very disgusting, the pillows are so thin and disgusting they are basically unusable, I ended up leaving early, for the cost is was very disappointing, I wouldn’t go back
