Location fabulous. Rainforest.
List too long. Horrible cabins w steep wooden stairs to bathroom, another on ground level, long confusing walk to toilets. Prices for food a bit steep, only vegan options. Noise level high, upstairs wooden floor light drums for downstairs. Nets not well placed, fan blows them away. Reception lied to me regarding availabilty of other bunk, with smiles of course. Most rent motos to get there but no covered parking for them, and distance from main entrance. Bottom line, design of whoever thought these accomodations up was not really thinking of guests' comfort. 2nd night I cancelled and found a much better more peaceful accomodation nearby. Had private room w bathroom, private lake beach included for same price as the sloppy dormitories here

It is remotely in the jungle and very chill. I liked the vibe, the food and the yoga classes
The rooms are a bit dirty and they charge you quite a lot for drinks and food since you are remote I guess

Beautiful scenery, the cleaning ladies were nice and helpful
A waiter insisted in charging my friend and I together the bar bill when we told him we wanted our bills separately. We had to go back and forth with him until he accepted to charge us separately. It was weird.

Room is lovely, a jungle experience with an outdoor bathroom, the layout and design of the hotel is done well.
I would have given a higher score but due to a few factors I wouldn’t stay again.
Customer service needs attention, we felt like an inconvenience at check in and the bar staff rolled their eyes at us for paying in US dollars.
I understand it’s the jungle and the room is rustic and we knew there would be bugs, prices are fair for this, but the bathroom door was hard to open, some simple maintenance would help, we had to discard of a couple spiders before we went to sleep.
I didn’t enjoy the chocolate cheesecake, it’s mostly bitter and cacao tasting.

The Place is incredible the view out of the room amazing. El Pital is the best pleace to eat for me in ometepe.
The Glasshouse was very noise during windy season. There is space between the glas and the bamboo so a lot of wind was coming in, which i can understand. It is so nice to be close to nature, but you have to consider that the water is loud when it is windy☺️

The restaurant is located beautifully with a view on the lake and the vulcano. The accommodation was all the way in the back of the property, which made it nice and quiet.
During our stay, there were some constructions going on across our cabin. The van was not working, what made the cabin a comfortable spot for bug to chill. The bed is basically on the floor, and the pillow felt like it was 10 years old. In the morning (5:00 am) there was a ritual with drums on the property next to the cabin that woke us up. The parking was far away from the reception and it didn’t feel comfortable to leave the car there.

El Pital is a lovely place and the staff is friendly!
The Glass house looks amazing on the pictures, but unfortunaly thats the only thing nice about it.
We did not sleep at all for 2 nights:
•The fan did not work. Shower only had 2 drops of water coming out.
• Doors/windows are not fully closed
• Insects and flies everywhere!!
Its very windy on this side of the Island so in combination with the fact that you are sleeping on the edge of the water; it feels like a storm and remember the whole building is not fully closed!
So it looked amazing but for us not something we would recommend!

The place was very special, beautiful and very authentic. The staff were lovely and took care of all our needs. In the restaurant the vegan food was very tasty. I would especially like to mention Angel, the manager of the place, who was kind and gave us personal attention
The toilets were organic, and there are a lot of mosquitoes in the place, pay attention to prepare accordingly

beautiful place but must be willing to live with big bugs. We had the king-size deluxe room and the first night we found 2 big 4x4 inches spider in our room. There were also many big bugs that we’ve never seen before and we woke up with many many mosquitoes bites. We’ve been told that they didn’t know if the spiders were venomous or not so we ask to change room. They change us in a beautiful new room, which we appreciated but we found a scorpion crowding on the floor. It’s only later that we’ve been told that the scorpion was in fact venomous. We’ve woken up from our last night there with thousands of ants in the room, on the floor, in the bed and in our personal things.

Really beautiful rooms and a lovely restaurant with great food.
The hot water was not working when we stayed there and the driveway seemed like it could be a bit tricky to manoeuvre, but we had a four wheeler so that was fine. Might be hard on a scooter.

The ants on our bags in the morning. The room was also very dated and dark

Location and setting were gorgeous. All the food and drinks served at the onsite cafe/restaurant were delicious. Overall the vibe was wonderful! Yoga classes in the morning were also lovely.
Food and drinks were more expensive than we would have anticipated beforehand.

The beautiful lakeside location
The cleanliness !!!!!! - Had 1000s of bugs everywhere ! I’ve never felt more uncomfortable in my life. I had to stay in another hostel and recieved no refund despite not staying. The picture shows hundred of dead bug on the bed I was expected to sleep in.

the location itself is scenic, very well located next to the town, restaurants and other activities.
the staff are nice and helpful, they do their best to help with your questions.
the yoga session was great fun as well
the room could use a bit more fan, especially the upper bunk is quite hot.
internet coverage is not strong enough which could be an issue for digital nomads

Great Staff! Beautiful place, and really nice place to relax.
Even though everything was great.
The Showers, everyone can see you while showering.
Besides that, everything else was quite good.

My favourite part of staying at El Pital was drinking their chocolate superpower smoothie for breakfast - it's so good! The food overall is really good. The atmosphere is very casual and laidback. My cabin was oceanfront so I could hear the waves crashing the whole time and it made me relax so much; I could feel my body becoming less tense during my stay.
Make sure to bring cash, el Pital doesn't accept card payments. Bring bug spray too.

The location is beautiful, right by the lake with the terrace and hammocks and places to hang out in the sun. Dorms were nice, each bed has a fan. Nice showers and organic toilets. They organise fun activities like yoga, movie nights, taco night, which is a good way of meeting people.
The restaurant was quite pricey and limited. Only vegan options and very healthy. For example the brownie didn’t taste like brownie, i’m guessing it had no sugar in it. If you like that, perfect, but i like myself a good ol brownie and that was a dissapoitment. Also, there is no kitchen, so you kind of have to buy food at the restaurant or go somewhere else.

pretty along the water
we had met travelers who came here before and told us not to come… but the pictures looked so nice. wish we hadn’t. the communication is Poor, they overcharged us (& they only accept cash), we arranged a tour with reception and the next morning were picked up for the wrong one, both of us got breakfast food poisoning, our “to-go” food for hiking was half eaten in the staff fridge the next day, & currently sitting at the airport with all my stuff and body covered in ants from the room in El Pital. oh and not to mention we paid extra for the nice room & bathroom, which is a porta-potty that they do not empty.

Beautiful location and sunsets
Good food
Friendly staff
My bedsheet wouldn’t stay on so I ended up lying directly on the mattress and the pillow was extremely flat.
There was also 4 power cuts every night.

Good location
Hostel was full i wait 20 mins and they finally put bed on the floor. Its overrated. Cold water, bad wifi and overpriced pushy restaurant. Bed dirty, you cannot recharge your phone if you are in upper bed.

Super nice location with nice vibe and good food. Make sure you rent a scooter in moyogalpa since it makes everything easier.
Food a bit pricey. BUT good value for money since amazing quality.

Food was exceptional but slightly overpriced. Quick and easy moped rental and good views. A very chill and relaxed vibe.
As it was a bit of a walk to the nearest shop or restaurant we had no other option than to eat hostel food. Travelling on a budget made this not ideal. We were told it was cash only with no other way to pay and the nearest ATM is ten minute drive away. When we got to checking out they said we could paypal which we did however they gave us the wrong paypal name so we ended up paying 200$ to a random account. It took us two and a half hours to check out as we also had to work out our own tab and the amount we owed! They were very unhelpful with helping us check out and just left it all up to us. The dorm we were in had no curtains and the roof was falling apart so when the wind blew we were covered in dirt on top bunks. It was incredibly loud as the tarpaulin on the roof was flapping and we got little to no sleep.
