Mooi hotel alleen echt niet schoon.
Maar wij hadden bloed in ons bed. Uiteindelijk een andere kamer gekregen.
Mijn dochter mocht niet zwemmen want er is niet goed aangeven dat het alleen naakt was.
Ontbijt was niks bijzonders.
Niet schoon!

The location is pretty well. It's close to Zulpicher Platz and Neumarkt (10-minute-walk). Although it's in the middle of the city, it's very quiet during the night and in the early morning.
- Staff could be friendlier: The woman at reception who checked me in appeared not very motivated. Also she did't tell me about the wifi-password.
- As a hotel guest you still have to pay for the spa. Although it was just 10 Euros, I think the spa should be free for guests.
- I had to pay another 8 Euros for a spa package (bathrobe, towel, slippers). In other 4-star-hotels this package awaits you free of charge in your hotel room.
- My hotel room was smelly, although I kept my window open throughout my stay (2 nights).
- My room wasn't cleaned the next day and nobody told me about cleaning regulations. Not what I expect in a 4-star-hotel!
- The breakfast was 20 Euros, far too much.
- All in all value isn't good here.

This is my standard hotel for Cologne and suroundings.
You have a fully fledged spa connected to the hotel, so the best relaxation ever after a day full of work.
On top it's in the center, if you want to go out and see Cologne!

old dirty carpet, old furniture, smelly, bed way too soft, all in all too dark, wifi not suitable for work, additional costs to go to the pool, people at reception were rude, no air condition in a 4* hotel with pool and sauna?!

The size of the room
No AC in the room, it was really hot and you couldn’t stay with open windows (during night) because it’s quite a noisy area. Staff wasn’t really nice.

Breakfast was perfect, traditional reach German buffe. One remark about small breads "Broetchen" they were not as perfect as it should be!

we had triple room, which I never thought would be comfortable, but actually it was.
The room wasn’t clean when we came back after really long workday. Apparently we’re meant to see some notice inside of the room that it needs to be requested to be cleaned, but we didn’t know that so came back today really dirty room and member of staff wasn’t helpful at all when the issue is addressed. He was quite grumpy and argumentative, instead of being helpful and apologetic.

decent location, comfy bed and good shower
nowhere does it say that nudity is compulsory to use the spa facilities and we only found this out after being rudely shouted at by other spa users
Walls are thin, can hear next rooms coughing etc, room wasn’t cleaned at all in five day stay, church bells go off at 7am every morning so you get woken up, staff are rude and not interested at all. not worth the money, only booked for the spa which we then could not use as you had to be nude. (pool and sauna was also cold before we got kicked out)
room is also incredibly outdated with stained red stripey carpets and leather cushions etc.

Location was great, walk to new market and 2 stops on train or tram to get to the cathedral/old market. Pools were excellent
The pools were awesome but might be a good idea to warn non Europeans that it's mostly nude. My teenage Australian kids were a bit culturally under prepared.

location
there were no kids allowed at the pools and the Wi-Fi doesn’t work properly - had to input user and password all the time and it was really annoying

Massage is good.
First time I write review . The hotel is a disappointing experience. For the high price 180 euro per night I expected that our room will be cleaned . We stayed 2 days and nobody cleaned the room. Neither gave fresh towels. For the bath complex it is shame they indicate price for the robe and separately for sauna. Why not together that price is clear. You can not seat in the sauna in the swimming suit. That was mad. We were with the children. Everyone is naked. Not informed and honestly I am not paid for to look at old naked people. Men and women together. Breakfast is additional charge. Poor for 18 euro per person. Impression starts from the hotel. WiFi connection is separate issue. So cheap and you have to enter code they give you at the reception every time you put away telephone. The WiFi does not reconnect automatically . Will not book anymore

Not much...from check in, to parking, to staff assistance, this hotel FAILED!! The ONLY shining star was the bartender, Batko. He was amazing, kind, and tried to "undo" everything I had experienced within the hotel. He took personal care of me at the bar providing excellent wine choices and food that was included in a package I purchased. His counterpart, Rose, was also very polite and helpful. KUDOS to the bar staff!!!
The manager who checked me in (Thomas Ebing) was rude from the moment I entered the hotel till the moment I left. If I hadn't prepaid the room, I would have left before the first evening. I booked a massage and even CALLED the hotel to ensure I would have a female massage therapist. I was told absolutely. At 6pm, a young man walked up to me and asked if I was ready for my massage...NO! I elevated it to the same manager (Mr. Ebing) and he immediately said "who told you that? I want to see proof someone promised you a female massage therapist." Seriously? Who says that to a customer? His solution was come back in the middle of the day (when I'm sightseeing) for a female or come back tomorrow night and it would be a male again. I paid $95 for a massage I never got. When I asked them to refund me I was told "the general manager is on vacation for the next 2 weeks and he's the only one that can authorize that" so I emailed them everything including receipts three times and NEVER heard one word back from them. I'm currently trying to get a refund from my credit card company because that was fraud. The website said you could wear a swimsuit in the spa. So I paid $100 extra to enjoy the spa for ONE day and when I showed up, everyone was naked. ALL saunas and 99% of hot tubs were "no clothing allowed" One hot tub (that was luke warm) and the swimming pool were the only places you could go with clothing on. When I was in the hot tub, a 75 year old naked man came and sat next to me....YUCK!!!!!! The entire staff acted like they were doing you a favor by checking you in, answering questions or helping you. They ruined my trip to Cologne. Take my advice, STAY AWAY from this hotel!!!
