Reviewer Comments:
View was better than the pictures! Amazing! House was clean and kitchen was great. Hot tub was perfect after our long days in the park. Well maintained, and easy to get to. Only complaint was the wifi was out the whole stay and thus the TV's didn't work at all (the only way to watch was online TV services, no cable/antenna), nor did our devices (laptop/tablets). Customer service was less than desired. Never heard back from them after the first night. Seems to be a recurrent problem as it's in others reviews as well. Don't know if they even worried about it. Physically walked into their building and even though they knew the wifi had been out for a week they tried to blame it on the Microsoft outage (as it was that day). Completely false information! A little bit of honesty would have gone a long way.

We thoroughly enjoyed the sweeping beautiful views from this cabin. It was spacious and well stocked. We were however very frustrated that we did not have WiFi for the entirety of our stay. We were unable to use the TV or work because there was no WiFi. The property managers at Yellow Rose were not helpful and the owner was unresponsive. We called multiple times and the issue was never resolved. We will visit Bryson City again, but we will avoid Yellow Rose Properties for our next visit.

We had a family of teenage kids which technology is very important and the tv did not work as well as the wifi. Also the downstairs fans did not work. The house overall was excellent but the technology and contact with the host is much to be desired.

The property was beautiful. The view was amazing, above what we could have expected. It was the perfect place to decompress. Get away from the hustle and bustle. It went beyond our expectations. We just wish we had more time to spend here. Such tranquility.

The cabin is in a beautiful location with the most amazing views. It has a very nice open layout downstairs that shows off the views from everywhere. It’s a little odd that the upstairs balcony can only be reached through one of the bedrooms, not the master bedroom. Would have been nice if it extended all the way across. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend.

This house was great for our family vacation. Having 4 bedrooms was perfect for our group, the kitchen is very well equipped with all the utensils you could need. There is a full size refrigerator and the laundry is right off the kitchen. The decks are wonderful for sitting out on in the evening. The grandsons loved the hot tub. As in other reviews, the roads are twisty and steep, but manageable. The drive up is worth it when you get there. Bryson City has everything you could need for grocery stores, restaurants, bars, etc. The Great Smokey Mountain Railroad is definitely worth going on. If we return to the area, I would rent this house again.Yellow Rose is a very professional company. We had a power outage due to high winds and we called about moving to another unit and they set us up right away. We ended up staying as the power came back on later in the evening.

Yellow Rose never disappoints! This cabin's view was gorgeous. Had some minor issues and they were taken care immediately. The only complaint I have is no shower downstairs for that bedroom but we made it work! The view made up for anything the house didn't have! Not close to town so if you are looking for seclusion this is it!!

Due to the road being icy we couldn’t drive up to our cabin and there was another car stuck on road leading to our cabin. Just keep in mind there is a chance you may not be able to stay at the cabin you have booked if you are traveling in winter.

The house I stayed in was nice had a great view and a hot tub. The furniture was a little outdated but fine for the stay. I would never stay with this company again due to the issues I had and still have. There was a water issue in the original house so I had to switch to the house next door for 1 less night and was refunded but not in full for the nights stay. Have tried to reach out multiple times and no one will get back to me. On the first day at 530 already past check in someone comes to clean the hot tub and had to drain it so I had to go up to the old house to use the hot tub that night. Then on the day I was to check out at 930 when check out is at 10 the guy shows up again to clean the hot tub. I didn’t mind so much but being a single female getting a knock at the door of a rental when you’re not expecting anyone is crazy. There were 2 fireplaces inside. Neither worked. When I contacted the office about I got no response so I could not use them my entire stay. The house had a nice view but based on the communication or lack there of and not getting a full nights refund I would never stay with this company again and would not recommend it to anyone.

The home was awesome . A few things we could not find the remotes for the ceiling fans on the main floor . The ceiling fan on the porch was missing a blade . All not a big deal . There were a few other small things that could have been addressed .

Lookout Lodge was the perfect spot for our annual family vacation, by far the best accommodations since we’ve been getting together starting in 2014. The place was spacious and comfortable for ages ranging to 17 months to 80 years. The Smokey Mountains were absolutely spectacular from our decks. Billy from Yellow Rose called to check in. I appreciate the customer service . We enjoyed hiking in the National Park, stroller walks nearby, a train ride, exploring Bryson City. MOST OF ALL, WE ENJOYED THE PRICELESS GIFT OF TIME TOGETHER.

Everything was great. Fabulous view from the decks. So peaceful. Will be using them again.

The views are forever changing! Not only are the views 10/10 but so is the house. We had plenty of room for 7 adult size people. The hot tub was perfect for all the rainy days, which there was several but it never damped our time. We loved going tubing and the tail of the dragon was a nice surprise when we first drove in! Absolutely would stay again and recommend! Plenty of towels and cooking ware.Beds were uncomfortable but im a bed snob, with my sleep number. Stop looking and stay here! Its worth the single/shared lane up to the house.

I must admit, after reading some of the reviews I was a bit concerned about this property. However, we had no issues at all. The home is well maintained and stocked. The water was clean and we never ran out of hot water with our group of 7. The only minor issue we noticed was that although the home listing says No Pets, someone obviously brought a dog. There was dog hair in some of the rugs and a strong wet dog odor in the game room. We simply opened the windows to air it out but this may be an issue for someone with dog allergies. Otherwise it was a great stay!
4.5
We had a wonderful stay here. The view of the mountains was breathtaking and that alone would make me stay here again. The house was beautiful and i loved the kitchen. The only down side to the kitchen was the cooking utensils we're not the best. Miss matched pots and pans that were falling apart and half them i had to wash before using becuase they seemed dirty. They rest of the house was clean and the beds were comfortable. I would stay here again

Received a call the morning we was to check in and was told that there was a water issue and we was moved to another house in another city. Not the same number of bedrooms, not the same view we paid for and nothing to do within 30 minutes like there was with the house originally rented. The house we got moved to was great but not what we booked, made plans around and looked forward to staying in.
4.5
We did not get the home we rented. The home we rented was struck by lightening (Act of God, I get that) and we were relocated. We were told the relocation home had the same floor plan. I rented a luxury mountain view 4 bedroom home. We were relocated to the 3 bedroom home next door. Was it luxury? Nope. The home I rented had four bedrooms, the Master bed room had a fireplace, television, balcony and ensuite bathroom. The home I got did not have a master bedroom, it had a bedroom with a bed. The second bedroom in the house I rented had a balcony, in the home I got the second bedroom had a skylight. The house I rented had a main floor bedroom, the house I got did not. I specifically wanted a main floor bedroom for elderly mother, that has difficulty climbing stairs. The house I got had no main floor bedroom, rather had a basement level bedroom, that was so cold we could hardly use it even with a fire burning all night in the fireplace. There was a broken dining room chair (noted on previous reviews). When we looked for silverware it was sparse (only six forks) but we found more when we attempted to use the dishwasher. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes and we had to use our one provided dishwasher pod to clean the dishes. Our first morning there was no water pressure. We called Yellow Rose and they came out and fixed it, the switch in the well needed replaced. (Another Act of God). Our second morning (and each morning after that) we attempted to take a shower and there was no hot water, the hot water tank had a faulty switch. After the 2nd service call from Yellow Rose we had the service guy show us where to flip the switch. Our plans each day were disrupted because we had to wait 2 hours for a hot shower. The furniture in the house we rented was adequate but for sure not the furniture pictured in the house we rented. And we definitely missed the extra room in the house we got opposed to the house we rented. Luxury home verses rustic home. Did not meet our expectations. The views were stunning. But the comfort was lacking. Upon arrival we noticed several windows were opened, making it very cold in the house, and there were numerous outdoor bugs in the house. Post rental, I expressed my dissatisfaction with two different people from Yellow Rose and was told that management would be giving me a call. Three days later, no such call. Our stay was far from ideal and probably will not stay with Yellow Rose again.

We stayed on this property from December 21st -26th , the views are amazing however the property itself needs some maintenance.
Our biggest concern is that we left behind 2 passports and a jewelry box. We called the host several times for a week straight to which they advised that the cleaners were going to check the property next day the first time we called on Dec 28th.
No one ever followed up, on January 3rd we got confirmation that the passports were found however the cleaners had to drop it off at the office (great ! ), I asked about the jewelry box that was with the passports and contained 2 diamond rings, 1 gold hoop earrings and 1 gold bracelet, the host advised that he hadn’t heard anything about that .
At this point I was just happy to get my passports back honestly but called back again on January 4th to recover my passports and the host didn’t answer or returned my calls ! I’m flying back to Canada on January 10th and I don’t have my passports ! I’ll be calling the Canadian embassy at this point.
It’s a shame that ever since I mentioned the jewelry the host stops being cooperative and answering calls.
4.5
The communication between us and the property manager was horrible. The drawers in the kitchen are falling apart. The cleaning crew needs to be taught how to clean. All the dishes and pots and pans were greesy and put up dirty. Some of the pots and pans were really rusted and could not be used. The fire places didn’t work upstairs or downstairs and when asked the property manager the said their maintenance guy will call me back and let me know how to use it. I’m still waiting for the call and I called them back three times about it. It was a beautiful home , but really needs new management and some things fixed on it.

You need to remove rugs from floor, my 71 year old mother tripped several times.
Also need tvs in other bedrooms.
Sink up stairs had a hard time draining other than that had a great stay

Everything was as listed. The views were amazing and the hot tub felt great! There were only a few small things that could have made things better. The remote to the living room tv was missing. The wifi went out on the first night. And there was a broken chair and a couple broken kitchen drawers. No issues that truly impacted our stay. Would definitely stay again.
4.5
We traveled from Pennsylvania to attend a wedding. When we first arrived there was no water and the property manager did not tell us this which was an inconvenience because we had to use the next-door cabin’s bathroom until the next day. Other than that the stay was very comfortable, the house was clean and the views were absolutely amazing!

Will come again
4.5
The view is picture perfect! There is plenty of room we were a party of 8 adults. There is no shower on the main floor so it was a challenge for those with knee problems who stayed on the main floor.
4.5
It easily accommodated our family of eight, includes our four grandchildren. We enjoyed our morning coffee out on the deck, taking in the beautiful view. And in the evening sitting around our fire roasting hotdogs and marshmallows or taking advantage of the beautiful hot tub. The house is nicely laid out multiple rooms for people to enjoy different activities. You don’t get to watch your own streaming programs but you’re not there for the TV anyway. There is Wi-Fi. After all the shopping, hiking and exploring you’re quite tired at the end of the day! They have two coffee makers a Keurig and a drip pot, plenty of linens, soap, toilet paper the beds are very comfortable. They start you off with one pod for laundry and one pod for the dishwasher if you want to do multiple loads you might want to bring some extra that you are comfortable cleaning with or using on your clothes. We enjoyed our visit very much.
4.5
Time for bounding and building relationships that have been sit aside due to work.
4.5
Second time renting from Yellow Rose. Second time we’ve had a poorly maintained house. I don’t know how a house built in 2017 could have so many broken drawers. Many pieces of trim and finish either unattached or falling off. The living room TV was hardly usable. Fireplace in the master didn’t work. Foosball table didn’t have a ball, and never heard back from Yellow Rose after they said they’d see if they could send one up. Hot tub lid assist bar wasn’t attached on one side. Kitchen was poorly equipped with junk quality utensils and cookware. Water smelled strongly of sulfur. Decor was sparse and bizarre. Couches look like they lived a previous life in a frat house. Rugs were curled up and worn. The house has a lot of potential, but it’s certainly falling short of it. If you plan to stay, bring trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, drinking water, and any cookware items that is critical to the meals you plan to cook. Definitely affordable, lots of inside and deck space, beautiful view, and close to lots of things you’ll want to do in the area.
4.5
This property is amazing just sitting on top of a mountain with amazing views plus all the amenities you’re ever going to need on vacation. If you have a group this is definitely a spot because every room in the house is spacious even the bathrooms.
Nothing negative to say but a couple things I think should be noted if you’re hauling a trailer as we do there is very little turnaround you do have a place to park it’s just tricky getting it in there and you should take plenty of your own bottled water Some of the guys with me did not enjoy the taste of local water.
4.5
We stayed here with 2 other couples. We had a short list of properties we were looking at. We've stayed in this area many times at different rentals. This house was much cheaper then the others we were looking at that were of similar size. I was a little worried when I booked it because it was so much cheaper. However, the house was beautiful, in a great neighborhood and very well maintained. A great place at a very affordable price. The property manager called me at one point and he was very polite and super nice. The house was very clean. The view was amazing. The hot tub was clean. The directions said not to rely on GPS and that the directions on Google were wrong. However, they took us the exact way to get there. The town of Bryson City is adorable and we ate every morning at Everett Street Diner and it was awesome.
Would definately recommend the property.

Breathtaking views in the Great Smoky Mountains
The house was great, clean, with plenty of space & breathtaking views. There was an issue with the WIFI, which was resolved on the 2nd day. I would strongly recommend this property to anyone visiting this area. My suggestion to make this an amazing experience would be to supply plenty of the standard household items one normally expects in VRBO properties. The house comes with 1 trash bag, 2 dishwasher pods, 2 laundry pods, and 3 rolls of toilet paper. I left a brand new box of trash bags under the sink, hopefully, this helps the next guest. Also, be sure to bring your own coffee.
