The hotel is really lovely. It is in a peaceful location in countryside.
When I arrived I was unfortunately quite unwell and the proprietor (I think she was) came to my car and took my luggage into the hotel room for me. She offered me something to eat and drink outside of the normal hours as I had also had an 8 hour journey. I had booked in for just 2 nights before travelling elsewhere and spent my time there in bed trying to get well. During my time there I was really looked after by the staff who brought food and drink to my hotel room outside of hours. They went above and beyond to look after me, for which I am truly grateful.
I have never experienced such kindness from hotel staff anywhere, feeling as ill as I was and on my own. I will never forget this help.
The hotel room was excellent and provided nice little luxuries, such as decent soft tissues (instead of the cheap hard ones usually provided); fan, hairdryer, iron, small bottles of necessities, make up cloth remover, flannels and towels etc
Tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate and biscuits also provided along of course, with a mandatory kettle which looked brand new.
The room and wet room were especially clean and of a good size with somewhere to put your suitcase (always a good idea). A brolly was also provided and there was also a seat in the shower area. Shower was lovely and hot and easy to operate (something I often get stuck on). The bed and pillows very clean and comfy.
Outside the room, in the garden area, was a table and chairs with thick clean cushions on them for the back and seat to be used by me and the room next door if wanted.
The food was decent and delicious.
I would highly recommend this place for everything about it and in a special way, the staff. Come and stay here, you won't be disappointed.
The fact that I was ill!!

The location was idealic with beautiful surroundings and a calming nature. The decor and level of detail to equipment and comfort provided was exceptional very friendly staff..quiet location and perfect distance for the wedding we were attending.
There was some noise from the road but did not affect sleep at all. It was a shame our stay was only brief and did not get to enjoy the facilities and surroundings to the full.

Nothing. All good. No complaints at all.

The room was tastefully decorated, spacious, calm and very clean.

A very large and comfortable room with a sitting area accessed by stairs, and a lobby that contained a fridge and microwave; the excellent shower room is off this lobby. The accommodation is housed in what was once a stable that has been carefully restored and refurbished. The hotel has a swimming pool and is set in interesting grounds with a pond and wild life areas. The cooked breakfast is good, though jam/marmalade/marmite with the toast would have been appreciated.
The hotel is set on a side road off the A47, and is not obvious from the main road in the dark. A signpost (preferably illuminated) would have prevented the marital disharmony caused by our overshooting the turn off!

The owners/staff were very friendly and helpful. was a shame we only stayed for 1 night. Our accommodation was upgraded which was a nice surprise. Our daughter loved the pool too.
Beautiful lake also.

The whole setup, although not inspiring to look at worked so well. The pool area, with sauna and Jacuzzi was brilliant. The restaurant was friendly and efficient, the food good too! More people should go to see and share this hotel

The choice at breakfast was very good. The service was excellent.
We had a room that we knew had a bath but the push down plug would not hold the water in. We tried using the shower head off the taps but it was nothing more than a trickle which made washing very difficult .We did not mention this while we were there as everything else was EXCELLENT.

The layout and the facilities

Greenbanks is a hidden gem in Norfolk. The rooms are well presented, accessible for someone with mobility problems and very comfortable. I stayed in room 5, a family room, with my dog. The staff made me feel so welcome and offered help at all times, they are exceptional.
The restaurant food is amazing and the chef was happy to go through the menu with me to explain what I could and couldn’t eat due to a food allergy. The grounds are beautiful and it is all very pet friendly - my dog was given her own bowls and towel! The lake on site is very pretty and a lovely walk for my small dog. The swimming pool is a bonus and I often had this to myself.
I enjoyed it so much I booked an extra night and have booked to bring my disabled mother next month! I would definitely recommend this place.
Nothing.
The WiFi was a bit temperamental but staff helped with this.
