Our family of 6 had a lovely stay at The Cedars. Very friendly welcoming hosts, pretty rooms, really tasty cooked breakfast options and cookies on arrival were particularly appreciated. My daughter forgot her jacket and host texted and called within a few minutes.

Perfect location next to town centre. Clean and tidy. Nick was very friendly and helpful. I am walking the Wye valley walk and arrived soaked. He got me inside provided a tray for my wet boots with no fuse. The breakfast was superb!

I could not recommend any place better to stay!
Nick and Lydia are so lovely and welcoming and pay attention to detail. They made me feel right at home and answered every question I had. they always greeted me with a smile and were super helpful.
The bedroom was gorgeous and had a lovely view, there were even some homemade cookies in my room that were delicious.
The guestbook in my room had a lovely list of restaurants and tells you about the history of the town and about Nick and Lydia.
The breakfast was honestly the highlight of my stay! So many options and the food was delicious. Everything was just fantastic and I would honestly come back just to have breakfast again. :)

Exceptional hosts, very comfy beds and a great breakfast. Even down to the little extra of the home made cookie, the stay was one of the best. The beds were lovely and I would stay again.
Just a bit more room in the bathroom. Possible help with a shelf to put your shower stuff on would help

Great hospitality. Great food. Comfortable beds. Quiet - couldn’t hear the other guests. Walking distance to the town. Car park.
Shower water pressure wasn’t great but that is to be expected in an old house.

Hosts were very friendly and breakfast was excellent. Just a few minutes walk in to town for shops and pub. Very clean and tidy would stay there again.

Great location for visiting family. Had a lovely welcome from Nick and Lydia to their beautiful home, immaculately decorated with a wonderful homely feeling. We were in the family room which was spacious and awaiting us was a jar of home made cookies which was very welcome (and exceedingly tasty!) after a long journey. All mod cons in room such as tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer, etc. Breakfasts were varied (nothing was too much trouble from our hosts) and cooked to perfection! Highly recommend staying at The Cedars and would definitely book to stay here again!!

Not a lot pretty good for what i was expecting.

The hosts were extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. The whole place was very clean. The room was small but spotless with very comfortable beds, ensuite bathroom, hairdryer, full length mirror, tea and coffee making facilities, wardrobe, complimentary toiletries and free sat TV. The addition of delicious home-made cookies in the room was a lovely touch. A great breakfast menu as well. We went for the avocado and poached egg on toast, which was also absolutely delicious.
Nothing really. We had one of the smaller twin rooms. Due to the size of the room, there was no space for a chair/dressing table area which would have been good. I realise this can’t be helped though, and some rooms are just smaller than others. It wasn’t a big problem and certainly wouldn’t stop me from returning.

A very comfortable stay at The Cedars which is located next to the amazing Evan Valley. We appreciated the family room and the friendly & professional service offered by couple Nick & Lydia. Very nice decoration & attention to detail. Breakfasts are absolutely fantastic > Nick was a Chef in a Conde Nast restaurant for many many years.
Bathroom a bit small in the family room but still very clean & extremely convenient.

The Cedars is clean, comfortable and conveniently situated on the edge of town. The owners Nick and Lydia, are friendly, welcoming as helpful.
On a minor point, I couldn't get the tv to work, but it wasn't an issue for me anyway - a chance for a read and some peace and quiet!!
