Location
Cost of food (Which was poor) and drink was very expensive.. compounded with a 10% service charge
3.7
Courteous helpful staff, Room price quite high for the offering, Bar snacks disappointing Cheese and pickles sandwich with very little cheese, Breakfast offering really quite poor.
3.7
Location and staff were great. Pricing was fair.
The room is at the start of needing a renovation although for the price and my one night stay it’s was perfectly reasonable.
3.7
Dog friendly, friendly staff, clean and convenient location.
Would have liked a comfy chair in the room. Breakfast on the first morning was dried up and unappetising.
3.7
room cleanliness,good breakfast
Breakfast was bit expensive and it was not complimentary,But it was ok.Staff were very kind and nice.
3.7
Friendly staff. Very helpful. Clean. Nice food. Attentive service. Nice and warm in room.
The swimming pool being open. My little girl was very disappointed.
3.7
The quietness the place and room and location. I was close to lots of stores and food courts.
It smelled old and musty. They didn't changed the sheets not once and we were the three days and once they put only one bath towel and no sugar for morning coffee I had to go down to get some. The Toilet didn't flush very well.

Good location; quiet. Nice bed.
Hotel has a faded, tired feel, like it`s had half a refurb. Miserable dark corridors, but the bar/dining room area is nice.
Bizarrely, when we got there at 1am the room was boiling hot with a heater on full power. The windows didn`t open so we spent the first 10 minutes using an electric fan to cool the room down with the door wide open. Mercure Swansea not worried about the power crisis! It would be awful there in a heatwave as there is no a/c.

The hotel was modern, clean and welcoming. The Receptionist was ready for our arrival and made my wife and I welcome. For our overnight stay our room had everything we needed. For breakfast, there was a wide range of options from fruit and juices to a full English breakfast.
There wasn't anything not to like.

Most Staff are friendly but not all of them.
Old, everything makes a noise ( the squeaky floor, the toilet, the bed…..)

Our room was unwelcomingly cold when we arrived. When we asked the reception to sort this out asap, the man at the reception abruptly replied that the in-room electric heater was not working (they are fully aware of this) and no option available for us to move to another room with working heater as the hotel was fully booked. Then we asked for a portable heater, that man flatly said no such heater were available, while offering extra quilt. We found this deeply insulting and discriminating as we felt we fully deserve due care and respect like other customers since we were paying the full amount of room charges in advance. Only when we strongly protested as the room was simply uninhabitable, he passed the matter to so-called manager who came up later with a rusty portable heater for the night. Most concerning thing for us was in this whole incident at no point we were given any apologies from none of the hotel staff for this appalling lack of awareness of customer rights and comfort. We also felt that this differential treatment to us was racially motivated.

The staff are quite rude and if you turn up a few minutes before book in at 3pm god help you as they ask you to wait outside. I have stayed in many of these hotels but apart from 1 or 2 nice employees this is the worst and I will never stay there again

The place is a little dated.
The TV.
No air conditioning
So very hot in the room.
It's got excellent location.
No air con
The out dated small TV
3.7
The room was very clean but the decor a little dated but all in all very good.
Dinner was good and bar staff were excellent, very pleasant and at times very funny!
Didn’t have breakfast
The cost of the room could have been better and food was quite expensive.
3.7
The staff are very friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable
3.7
The staff friendly & polite, selection of food available, selection of drinks.
Musty smell in room coming from bathroom, bathroom basin large cracks in which would suggest water leakage causing smell.
Shower rail unable to set shower head to suitable height holder would not stay in place as soon as you let it go it just slid down to bottom.
3.7
Great location.
Noisy. Rubbish TV reception.
Shower cold and room too warm.
3.7
Decor in room was modern and appeared relatively refurbished. Bed was very comfortable. Nice quiet room facing courtyard inside. Bathroom clean and old shower curtain replaced with a shower screen. TV good size ( didn't use) full coffee making facilities and hairdryer/iron etc. No air con and couldn't open window enough to get decent air flow but desk fan was provided in room.
The water pressure was quite poor...difficult rinse long thick hair when washing. Shower head fixed to wall and not able to remove. Corridors were horrendously hot and stuffy.
3.7
Breakfast was nice. Staff at the breakfast where friendly and helpful. I would recommend to book the breakfast in advance. Weekends seems to be busier.
They didn't had enough high chairs for the little ones. Therefore my daughter has to sit on my lap to had her breakfast. There wasn't alot of choices for babies either

We enjoyed our star with Mercure hotels ! The staff was amazing and it was a comfy and relaxing experience
3.7
Location was excellent for our travel needs. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice, staff were friendly and helpful and the food in the bar was excellent.
3.7
Good breakfast & well presented.
Lack of facilities such as a swimming pool, gym, fresh orange juice at breakfast, unhelpful bar staff to change channel in lounge to women's world cup matches etc.
3.7
Good size room and nice breakfast.
3.7
Good room rate , comfortable pillows
The portable fan needs the blades cleaning - really mucky with stuck on dust.
The shower gel body wash dispenser had not been filled up and was empty- had to use shampoo instead.
Key card didn’t work when we first arrived- went back to reception - there was no apology and they seemed irritated by this issue .
All felt a bit dated and lacked attention to detail
3.7
Easy parking
Nothing
3.7
Very clean modern bedroom and the ensuite too with a nice bath rather than just a shower that alot of hotels do these days.
Nothing to report on that one.
3.7
Good breakfast with choices
A much less stuffy room

Good location as out of town and very quiet

Gym and breakfast were definitely best things here! Great buffet, everyone will find something nice to eat! 😌 room was clean and we had a lot of clean towels to use, unfortunately our older kid’s bed (sofa bed) was too very comfortable. Staff helpful and kind! We enjoyed the stay ☺️
Extra bed standard

The location was great, nice and quiet not to far from the town centre.
The food was good as well .
Flors are absolutely terrible they make unbelievable noise in the room and hallway.
Lack of air conditioning and windows 90%shut makes temperature in them rooms unbearable.
