Personnel at front desk could be more friendly. A smile costs nothing and changes everything.

Beautiful large room. Lived having access to neighbor hotel and its beach club
Upstairs rooms are fantastic but my ftiend stayed on bottom floor and it was hot humid and stinky.

Great staff. Enjoyed many meals at the restaurant. Excellent food and service and the restaurant. Will return.
The "sea view" paid for was a bit of a stretch. Not worth the extra cost Next time would save my money and just get a basic room.

Breakfast was delicious and complimentary coffee was much appreciated! Also liked how we had a smart TV and AC was a lifesaver during the July heat. The team was very friendly and attentive to all of our needs.
The guest wifi wasn't working during our stay and I wish we had a fridge to keep our water cold. These are just nice-to-haves though. It's not far from downtown, but just far enough to where you would probably not want to take multiple trips back and forth between the hotel and downtown.

We enjoyed the location for a couple of nights, across from the marina and the public beach for walking. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean. The pool is small but enjoyable. The outdoor restaurant atmosphere and food were excellent!
Within walking distance to small stores, restaurants but to get to town and shopping required a car or taxi.
2.5
good size room. comfortable beds, good linens, mattress and pillows. good towels. nice little restaurant on premises. close to marina for fishing and small beach. easy drive to San Jose.
very clean room
housekeeping lades were lovely and helpful
shower head sprayed water over floor resulting in STRONG smell of mold and visible black mold in corner of bathroom. smell was pervasive despite asking for the mold to be cleaned off and clorox/bleach to be used.
EXTREMELY noisy AC with little temperature control
bath robes shrunken to small child size
restaurant staff pressing for tips
reception staff could have been more helpful
no hairdryer in room

Location near beach. Beach club. Small inn with great staff. Very good food.
Loud traffic. Suggest speed bumps.

The staff was amazing, the restaurant was delicious! The bed and pillows were the best as was the shower!
Not enough outlets

That it was so close to where our family was staying at the El Ganzo. It was really nice that it was so close to the beach as well.
The only issue I think was because we were on the first floor you could hear everything going on right outside the door which could be a little loud. But other than that it was pretty good.

Beautiful location (across the street street from another hotel and the marina/beach! Nicely furnished and appointed rooms, very nice and helpful staff (front desk, housekeeping, restaurant staff, and restaurant chiefs.) Wonderful pool and lounge area. The LaMarina (George) restaurant has great food. There are also some local/local eating locations within two to five blocks (Carranza, Drunken Sailor, El Burro). There are also two smaller markets within 3-5 blocks (the chain 0XX0 and another small market (will good beer prices, local pasteries, and good selection of food and sundries on the shelves)...it has the blue TECATE sign (beer) on the front of it.) Bought 6 packes of Tecate for 86 pesos (remember about 17 pesos to a USD)
It would be nice if the property also had a Jacuzzi, but the LA Marinia has an arrangement with the Hotel Ganzo (across the street) for a nominal fee to use their infinity pool, infiniti jacuzzi, (which have a swim up bar) and you are given a 10-15% discount on the food and bar items up in the pool area.

The food, drinks, pool, beach, and the customer service
People in the area were blasting their music till late in the night. Not hotel guests but locals.

Clean. Very helpful staff.
Room was a bit noisy due to proximity to bar/rest.

The Restaurant was pretty pricey.

location and value. plus George’s restaurant is wonderful. staff supero.
our room (number 109) was billed as a “pool view” but was in a dim corridor with no view and was next to the employee break room (#108) which was occasionally noisy (especially in the morning when staff arrived to work but we were hoping to still sleep). I look forward to staying here again, but NEVER in Room 109.

Nice relaxed change of pace at the Marina. Room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Large walk-in shower with great water pressure - very nice. Convenient, free parking.
Advertised as a room with a balcony, but really the rooms open to a general walkway that overlooks the pool and restaurant (that was the balcony - I guess if we'd looked more closely at the photos we would have realized), with some rooms tucked around a corner (ours) so not really a balcony at all. If you are on the ground floor many of the rooms open almost directly into the outdoor restaurant. It was still nice, but maybe a bit misleading. There is no fridge in the room - we were directed to the bar for ice - they seemed pretty surprised by the request.

Nice pool area. Lovely floor tiles. Nice shower.
Unfortunately our ground floor room wasn’t very sound proof and any person walking buy woke us up.

Comfortable beds, on-site restaurant.
No view or beach nearby. isolated location. Had to Uber everywhere.

It's super cute and cozy. Desk staff were amazingly helpful with vacation tips, booking a car rental, etc. It is a GREAT value for the price compared to other San Jose options. It's a quick and cheap 10min Uber ride to the "downtown" tourist area. Free coffee all day at restaurant (none in room). No "resort fee". We were able to drop off luggage early before check-in and also leave it for a few hours after check-out.
1. Too much light came into our room from the pool area at night. The blackout curtain over the window was great, but they need one for the door, too.
2. You can also hear poolside conversations from guests at night and staff in the morning.
3. Our room had 2 semi-thin towels. We asked for more on a Monday night and were told they were out. We said we didn't need housekeeping the next day but requested 2 extra towels. We left before they came. They took down my husband's hanging towel, hung 2 new towels and took away the floor towel/mat. I moved my hanging towel to the floor, which still left us with only 2 bath towels (I wanted an extra for my long hair). The next day, a housekeep gave us 2 extra towels without any problem.
4. Small pool NOT heated and NO jacuzzi. I didn't notice (but didn't ask for) pool towels.
None of these were deal breakers, just room for improvement.

La Marina Inn is very close to the marina where I boarded a dive boat. There is an onsite restaurant with good food and drinks. There are also several small restaurants and pharmacies within easy walking distance.
The climate control in the room was difficult to control. There should be two luggage stands in every room (not just La Marina).

super close to the beach. got to use the amenities of a nearby resort but la Marina inn was perfect
