About this apartment rental

Please note, beginning early January 2025, the tile flooring and railings will be replaced in the common area corridor on the 6th floor. This project is expected to be completed by early April. While this is the only floor with work taking place for this project, at times there will be noise that could impact the entire building. We cannot accurately predict the volume or duration of disruption for any specific date or time. Current rates are reflective of this information.

Take advantage of special beach gear and bike credit! The beautiful ocean views from this fifth floor luxury Kiawah Island oceanfront vacation rental can be enjoyed from almost every room in the villa. This completely renovated, 2 bedroom Windswept villa has crown molding, beadboard from the foyer to the living area, beautifully framed windows and doors, tiled bathrooms, granite countertops in bathrooms and kitchen, detailed cabinetry and fixtures, stainless steel appliances, and updated furniture and bedding.

When you enter the foyer your eyes will be drawn straight through the villa to the ocean views. To the right is the guest bedroom with 2 twin beds, wall mounted flat screen TV, carpeted floors, and access to a bathroom with a tub/shower combination and single sink. This bathroom can also be accessed from the hallway. Down the hall to the left is a fully equipped kitchen with pretty white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, Keurig coffee maker, large side by side refrigerator, and a deep sink. The dining area with round glass top table has seating for four, an oyster chandelier above and is open to the living area. The main living area has tile flooring and comfortable seating on a large sofa, multiple chairs, large flat screen TV and a built-in desk. Through sliding glass doors in the living area you can step out onto the covered deck with 2 seats, where you can enjoy the ocean breezes, watch the beachcombers, and simply relax. The master bedroom offers these same views of the beach through a wall of windows. This bedroom has a king size bed and flatscreen TV. The private master bathroom has a large double sink vanity area, a huge walk in shower with granite seat, rain shower, an additional shower head, and beautiful tile.

The villa has a washer, dryer, high speed wireless internet and an upgrade cable package that includes HBO and other movie channels.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $250. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, and more – the choice is yours!

During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing on one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. Many families also enjoy the kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park.

Kiawah Island is about 40 minutes from historic Charleston, famous for incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, the South Carolina Aquarium, horse-drawn carriage rides, historic landmarks, and sumptuous dining.

RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email.

We loved the property for our long weekend stay for a local wedding. It was accurately described. Easy arrival, clean and nice. The ocean view and proximity to the beach was perfect. We would love to return sometime. Sitting outside and watching the ocean roll in and out was mesmerizing.

View was about the only redeeming part of this unit, although the balcony is extremely small and hard to maneuver around on with the furniture. The unit had an odd odor which we believed smelled like smoke, but Akers Ellis claimed it was just humid air and offered an air purifier as their solution. Overall the unit is very dated and has a lot of wear and tear. Have rented in Kiawah for many years and this was definitely one of the least memorable units we have stayed in.

The condo was nice. The master bedroom was very tricky to maneuver bc of the king bed. There was a musty smell upon entering and the master bathroom closet definitely smelled of mold. I purchased some air freshener to mask it. Would also have cleaning service sweep around entry door as there were spider webs with eggs😬 Location was great, right near the beach entrance. Overall we enjoyed our trip.

We didn't have any major issues with the condo. The few things we noticed were no tall glasses/plastic cups for drinks, the kitchen faucet was missing the button for changing the water stream, we did figure out how to change it, although it was awkward.

My only complaint wasn’t with the condo but the building. It needs to be maintained better. Doors need painting and hallways and stairwells need cleaning. Other than that I would highly recommend 5135. Views are amazing!!

We arrived in the pouring rain to find there aren’t any luggage carts to assist with unloading you car- how strange! I was disappointed to see that some neighboring guests left their trash (bags and Pizza boxes) by the elevator- for days! Other than this, the unit was lovely, as expected, and we had a wonderful time.

We have stayed in this property numerous consecutive years... wish the kitchen faucet and dishwasher could be replaced or repaired. Both are still defective 2 years running. The bed is getting old and new sheets and pillows are in order. It’s such a lovely place. These simple fixes at relatively little cost to rent ratio would make the guest experience 5 star.

The property/unit is nice, but you can hear every move the occupants make in the unit above. For the price that was paid, shouldn't have that issue. It was awful! It was like a bowling alley. Just their walking across the floor was like thunder. They weren't being loud, it's just poor insulation. Could not sleep the entire time. Would not recommend the unit. And the $250 voucher is a rip-off. The rental agency must be getting a kick-back.

The views are beautiful, and the location is convenient to the Sanctuary Hotel. My only complaint is that the furniture doesn’t comfortably fit in the main bedroom. The footboard sticks out, and my husband and I got multiple bruises from running into it. If they adjusted the bed frame or removed the chest in front of it, you could comfortably walk around the bed. Also, it doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned under the beds. We noticed when we checked that nothing got under the beds upon leaving. Overall though, the condo was wonderful and we would stay there again. Thx!
