The hotel is on a truly amazing beach. A quick swim out and you are on a reef. We saw sting rays, eagle rays, a barracuda, pufferfish and the biggest turtle I've seen in real-life. You don't really need to go anywhere else for a swim. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. The staff is very attentive. This is a great place to relax for a couple of days.
The food was not up to the standards of the hotel. Definitely enjoyable food just not superb.

The staff treated us like family. The rooms are perfectly located off of a beautiful beach. Our stay was the best combination of getting alone time and enjoying the perks of Yemaya.
Although the restaurant staff was wonderful, some of the food fell short.

Location

Location was beautiful, right on the beachfront! Food was excellent, a different Menu feature every night. My partner and I enjoyed a private beach bonfire & dinner the team setup. Went scuba diving nearby, but they have yoga in the mornings, snorkels and paddleboards available I believe. Water is spectacular, favorite dive spot I've ever been to.
Quite an expedition getting there from mainland Nicaragua - we flew from Managua to Big Corn and the private Yemaya boat picked us up - it was quite a turbulent ride over (& could be scary for someone not used to boats).

awesome little spot on the island! a great place to just relax and unwind from the chaos of Central America.
The cabins are really nice and feel private. staff are lovely. we had a private pool but the main pool was lovely to laze around and swim in as well.
some things are a little run down but you need to remember how isolated this place is and how hard it is to get new things delivered.
you are a little more isolated in this accommodation as it’s about half hour walk to town to bars and restaurants however you can get a water taxi from the hotels. highly recommend going with the hotels airport shuttle rather than the public one. it’s much more efficient and nicer boat for only $10US more.
Fry fish bar next door was good for cheap cocktails.
quite far away from other bars and restaurants.

The location was great, very remote and beautiful. The rooms were a great size and the bathroom was spacious too. We really appreciated the private transfer service and was very happy to be greeted with a cold coconut upon arrival after the long journey. The grounds itself was lovely and we were very happy with the beach workout and yoga which we did have to pay additionally for, but it was worth it.
We did not receive a welcome chat about the hotel/facilities, we noticed that this happened to some guests later in the week and wished that we had the same service. The restaurant staff could have been better at communicating the menu, there were so many ingredients that were not available or missing which came to a huge disappointment when we received it especially when you are paying higher costs for each meal and there is nowhere else that you can eat on that part of the island. I think this could have easily been dealt with if they told us upfront, just to manage all expectations instead of getting a meal you did not order, or replacement ingredients that we were not informed about. This was for every meal we had which eventually got quite tiring by the end of our stay.

amazing location, right on the beach, beautiful and very comfortable rooms. very good food, prepared with attention to detail
service was ok but not at the level we expected for this type of hotel.

beautiful cabanas with the plunge pool to cool off
really friendly staff
I think the owners need to reevaluate the price per night and for sure the price for meals and other services at the restaurant. $15 flat price for breakfast (even a granola bowl) or $26 for Tacos. I think the owner needs to understand most people are travelling afar to come to the resort/hideaway. We felt a bit isolated and didn’t want to pay the silly prices for 3 meals per day. Even charged for boat taxis etc.

Wonderful location, courteous staff who greeted us with fresh coconuts. Staff was very helpful and helped coordinate our arrival once we arrived in Big Corn. Very comfortable lodgings, and I would urge everyone to get their own private plunge pool, as this was exceptional.
Wish the weather had been better during our stay, but obviously this is not the hotel's fault. Had a few midnight visitors including a crab that had dug its way into the shower (since it is partly outdoors), and a lizard. You should expect some natural visitors since the bungalows are on the beach.

room, hot shower, stuff is nice definetly the best beach of the island
no white wine or tee, stuff is a bit slow to react and it’s a bit of a struggle to reachh the other side of the island

Everything! The food was outstanding. Staff extremely friendly. Beautiful setting.
A few days of rain but we still had a great time!

Location could not be any better! The snorkeling from the beach was great and the rooms are very stylish and comfortable
There is no clear concept. It’s not a retreat, not a spa and not just a hotel. The promised yoga instructor was missing and nobody seemed to be managing the place

As beautiful and accommodating hotel I have ever been too. A little pricey, but the rare hotel worth it’s price.

Most luxury hotel on the island. Great experience.
You have to walk a bit to get to the center but i experienced it as a great activity next to all the chilling on the beach

Everything is high class, great service by the personel. Restaurant was also really good. Perfect stay to relax at the end of your trip.
Its really expensive compared to the rest of Nicaragua, but the resort is high class, and that also costs money. Little bit away from the town. But you have to to visit the most beautifull spot of the island.
