Uitstekend hotel/appartement

Heerlijk hotel/appartement op 15/20 min rijden van het vliegveld. Zeer goed onderhouden. Netjes. Schoon. Vriendelijke mensen. Heerlijk zwembad. Heerlijk a la carte ontbijt. Ons appartement met 2 slaapkamers voldeed ook aan de verwachtingen. Accomodatie ligt in een veilige en rustige omgeving, dichtbij een groot park.

Een balkon/terras was nog wel lekker geweest.

Excellent séjour

Très bel hôtel. Calme, lumineux, beau jardin, belle piscine. Très grand appartement sauf la salle de bains. Balcon donnant sur la piscine. Rue calme. Personnel charmant, accueillant. Très bon et copieux petit déjeuner et bon restaurant. Nous recommandons cet hôtel.

La salle de bains est un peu petite

Schöne Oase in San Jose

Schöne ruhige Unterkunft mitten in der City. Die Hauptattraktionen von San Jose sind alle zu Fuss von dort erreichbar (bis Mercado central ca. 25 min.).Leckeres Frühstück gab es auch.

We mist one day cause of a delayed flight. Accomodation let us use it as a credit. What a service. Lovely pool and good distance airport and city centre.

Schöne Unterkunft

Sehr freundliches Personal, toller Pool bzw Frühstücksbereich, Zimmer waren sauber und hatten alles notwendige wie Klima etc., tolle Lage

Die Klima war sehr laut und nicht die aller beste. Zimmer ist sehr hellhörig aber das ist in Costa Rica bei fast allen Hotels so. Aber alles in allem war es trotzdem Top 😊

A night in San Jose

Authentic small hotel promoting sustainability. Local produce prepared and cooked by local people. Clean crisp bedding on comfortable beds and easy to work hot shower. Room is Costa Rican in character with plenty of storage space if staying a few days. Sadly we were just passing thru after arriving in San Jose. Reception staff were lovely as well. Would have liked to have stayed longer.

There wasn't anything to complain about or improve upon.

Visually lovely hotel let down by several factors

Lovely staff in the dining area and breakfast was ok, not brilliant. Pretty pool area but I didn't get to use it. They contacted me quickly after I checked out when they found my passport, which has slipped under the bed. However, my stunned disbelief on being asked for photo ID when I went to collect it went straight over their heads, even when I pointed out that they could see my actual face!

Supercilious reception staff. I was greeted as an interruption to someone's Very Important Work, and with a list of things I mustn't do. No elevator. More rules in the very small room - whoever heard of 'no ironing'?! Fridge/freezer in room and an ice bucket, but no means of making ice, no water, no coffee, not even a kettle. Horribly noisy. Glad I was only there for one night.

Excellent place located near the city center (2km) and airport (10km)

We started and ended our vacation in La Sabana. The hotel is located around 10 kilometers from the airport. Rooms are wonderfully clean, hot showers, nice pool and very helpful staff. They made breakfast at 4 AM in the morning, before our departing flight home!

Amazing hotel and great value for money

The pool and staff were amazing!!!! The location was great as it was a 10 minute walk into the centre of town but was next to La Sabana park which was great. The beds were really comfortable.

The walls are a bit thin and the cleaning staff work from 8am.

Hotel staff was fantastic, breakfast was amazing. Rooms were cozy and nice. Located not too far from downtown.

Rooms could have been nicer, pretty noisy and you could hear your neighbors.

Excellent value for your money

Excellent value for your money. The transfer from the airport was on time, well organized. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is in walking distance of the city center (2-3 km). There is an assortment of breakfasts that you can choose from. All in all we had a wonderful time after a exhausting flight.

Not a good stay

Nice pool, good location, mattress was good

The room was really outdated, shower was so small that you have nowhere to stand while adjusting the water without getting a freezing one. Entrance doors are extremely loud, so at 5.45am, you hear some other guests while leaving the hotel. I had to move my bed to connect the charger of the computer since it was the only one in proximity to the bed, this is not my first time here. Unfortunately, I won't be back.

Just a pleasant experience all around. Hopefully next time we will get to enjoy the pool!

We enjoyed everything at the hotel. The staff was exceptional. Always willing to help and accommodate our needs. The suite was just as comfortable as can be. The layout of the room was wonderful. Just really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was great. We don't have any complaints. We come to San Jose area a lot so we will be staying again!

Delightful place to stay, an oasis in the city

Delightful as always. Lovely staff, nice breakfast, sparkling pool and peaceful environs.

The pillows were huge. A selection of sizes, with some thinner ones, would be great.

I keep coming back, it's great

One of my favourite places to stay when in San José. Friendly staff, the rooms and washrooms are always clean and comfortable. Breakfast has many options and made to your liking. Free secured parking is always handy, though the hotel also has a paid shuttle service if needed.

Not much to complain about, one improvement I would suggest is to make the parking gate automatic to make it easier to enter/exit.

Great find! Character, beauty and good location.

Lots of colour and character, with local art and crafts on the walls and for sale in the lobby which was really nice! There was attention to recycling and compost and the breakfast included was the best that we've seen anywhere. The hotel is within easy walking distance of La Sabana park and downtown. The staff were also fantastic, helping us to find a bus to Liberia. It's also quiet, family owned, and comes with a kitchen.

The pool was a little chilly, but then again so were all of the pools in various hotels where we stayed in Costa Rica. The balcony was tiny.

Fantastic!

My friend and I stayed our first and last nights of our travels in Costa Rica at La Sabana and we're really happy with our choice. Not only were facilities perfect the staff are lovely and helpful. We had a rental car and it was about a 15/20 min drive from picking up the car which was about 5 mins shuttle to and from the airport. I thoroughly recommend La Sabana, it also has some facilities within a walking distance, a restaurant and a couple of supermarkets.

There was nothing I didn't like.
