My family enjoyed the three day weekend at this Beach front house.
5.0 / 5.0
Overall was great. Did run out of water which we didn’t understand. We got there after 5 no one took a shower only a few took a shower in morning and we were gone all day. When we got back spent the time on beach then those that didn’t take a shower in the morning decided to take one and there was no water. However they refilled within 2 hours even thou it was after 5 . Did have my Mom of 93 so the steps were an issue. All in all it was great!

Upon booking this stay I sent a chat message through the VRBO app and received no reply. That should’ve been my first hint that this wasn’t going to go smoothly. I unknowingly get a non-VRBO email telling me to sign a Casago rental agreement?! I never got a personalized communication within the VRBO app explaining how this rental differs from typical VRBOs. Then I find out I have to meet someone at an office to sign more documents, and get my picture taken?! I never heard back from the chat message. The emails I eventually found were from multiple senders: “helpdesk”, “homes”, and “Casago Rocky Point”. No where in the email body did it say anything about needing to come to this office in order or pick up keys to your rental. It was listed in some attachment that they wanted me to sign?! I’ve always been able to go straight to the rental house and used a key code to get in in Europe and the U.S. THEN to top it off, they charge me a $20 “late check-in fee”. After sitting in stopped traffic for 3 Hours at the border they want to penalize me $20?! Never have I been charged a late CHECK IN. Now, upon arrival to the house we found there were no visible instructions for connecting to the wifi. Then we noticed there was no information to point guests to the nearest grocery/restaurants/hospital/pharmacy/etc. There was no instruction on connecting to the tv/cable/etc. Not enough utensils. The center courtyard smelled like sewer until we covered a grate with a mat. I could go on…

We come to Rocky Point every year for Mother’s Day and loved this place. It had everything we needed. My only issue was that the direct tv had little to no channels, I was able to log into my Netflix so at least we had that. One TV in the rooms didn’t have the power cord. But even with that we would definitely come back.

Accommodations were ok. There was no soap, towels, condiments, spices. Nothing extra, bare bones. Bring anything and everything you may need. Location was great! Would book again in same area, but probably different house.

lights out twice, water out once during our stay.
No wifi to contact anyone. Front desk was nice. House was nice.

Lovely place for a family vacation, right on the beach. Had just about everything except beach towels and beach chairs. Bring your own, you’ll use them!

We had three couples come and stay. Everyone had their own bathroom which was a plus. Loved being right on the beach in the quiet neighborhood. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to whip up breakfasts, lunch and dinner.

Way too hot, AC did not work in the 2 of the 4 bedrooms and the living room and water was turned off. One 1 tv in the whole place. Smelt like moth balls.

Great not-so-busy Beach vacation!
The mosquitoes can get gnarly when the wind dies down, but the setting is wonderful and it’s RIGHT ON THE SAND!

First day we arrived smelled like gas but I thought it was mildew...i started getting super nauseated and when my son showed up he found the oven gas turned on-thank god he saw it or we could all have had a tragic ending--called after hours and was not able to get a hold of anyone.
Cockroaches.-GIANT, Big and Small...omg, not comfortable to go outside at night...and then in the master bath/bed room--so so many we closed off the room with a towel the last night after electricity went for couple hours--so so bad -just thinking what I slept with the nights prior--worse experience in 25 years staying in rocky point. So many more things...but if these don't stop you in your tracks well...not sure what would.

Enjoyed having the beach right there within a few steps from the home. I would definitely recommend.

The views are incredible. The house is a little run down. Walking to and from the beach is difficult since it’s a steep drop from the patio down to the sand. There are no steps to walk down to the beach. The heater/coolers work intermittently. The kitchen is well equipped. No garbage disposal so washing dishes is a pain. The sliding doors are quite rusty and hard to slide. The beds are small! The master with a view feels like a full sized bed. The shower is small. The furniture is dated. There aren’t any weird smells, but it feels musty. I like the clean smells like chlorine or some lemony scent. Weird steps behind the kitchen island so be careful not to fall! It is located to general beach access so there is constant foot traffic. The house needs a lot of work and updating. The master bathroom has a sewage smell. Be prepared to pay an additional pricey deposit upon picking up the keys even though you already paid for the insurance, which doesn’t make sense. Overall, we wouldn’t book this rental again and we wouldn’t recommend it to friends either. It’s rundown and won’t feel too comfortable. There was a for sale sign, perhaps this is why they’re not willing to update?

House was very clean at eye level. Very dusty above that. Should have told us when booking that it had mutable steps around the whole house. Trip hazard coming into a dark house. Steps not marked good enough. Other than that our stay was wonderful beds where comfortable and clean. Plenty of hot water. Close to the beach as stated. We would rent this place again.

The house is amazing. A few things that people need to know though. The fireplace in the living area isn’t a wood burning fireplace. It’s gas which doesn’t work. Rocky point was very cold and windy and would have been nice to use that. There is no check in or check out packet for people to use at the house. We had no idea how to use the heaters, the oven wouldn’t work we had to call maintenance to help assist. The sliding glass door was broken very hard to open and close even after maintenance came it wasn’t fixed. There’s no cord for the kids room TV. The plumbing in the front bedroom was leaking and had a horrible chemical smell to the room. There is zero water pressure in the kitchen. Like drizzles out I know Mexico is t great with water pressure what this was super bad. I’m pretty sure the sheets were not changed, the pillows smelt like dirty head so we used our own. It’s unfortunate because the house is truly beautiful and set up so amazing. They just need to maintain the property if they are going to charge what they are charging. Lots and lots of fixes that need to be done. Overall a nice stay.

This was a wonderful spot for a little getaway for our friends and family. It had a beautiful porch for lounging, reading, playing games, and eating.

The house had plumbing problems and is not safe for older guests. Many steps in living room, bedroom, etc

Sea of Cortez was warm and produced sea shells of various sizes. Not your typical sea shell you find on beaches. The house beautiful and we used the heaters in various rooms depending where rooms were located in the house. The home next to us was being renovated and unfortunately we had construction all days we were there. This information should have been shared at time of reservations and we could have selected a different rental. But we had a great time otherwise.

We stayed here in 2019 and enjoyed the property so much we decided to rent it again and enjoyed it just as much.

Place is setup perfect. Large rooms and beds. Has everything you need. Beautiful Home. AC in living room is not functioning properly. Also, there is a resident cat. Unfortunately I am allergic to cats. Cat would listen and not come into house, but plan to take care of the friendly feline. Master bed smelled of cat.

Very cute little home. The ac was spotty in 2 rooms. There were bugs the first night in the master 🤢 limited towels. HARD to find! But the beach was basically empty so we had a fantastic time.

This home fit our needs for our little vacation. It was for me and my son's family. The set up was great for kids as well as adults. The location was so beautiful and peaceful. We spent alot of time on the beach which was so close. We got to hang out on the back patio overlooking the ocean and relax to the sound of the waves. We will definitely stay here again.

Great location
The house was great. Location was perfect. It was amazing being right on the beach! Definitely bring toilet paper. The fridge is small for a 2 family stay so bring coolers. There are no baking dishes, only pots and pans. The dishwasher didn’t work and there is not a bbq grill like the description says. We had brought a lot of meals to grill so that was frustrating. Over all we had a great time.

Wonderful
Staying here was amazing. The house was beautiful and clean but nothing beats the ocean view. Waking up and walking out on the beach.. Couldn't get any better! The whole family enjoyed the stay. Definitely will be renting again.

Great beach house for Bachelorette weekend!
This house was perfect for my bachelorette weekend party. We wanted a relaxing weekend close to the beach and this house meet all of our expectations. We had a small issues with the AC units in the rooms in the beginning. The AC remotes in the rooms did not work so we realized we could use the one in the living room and we were finally able to turn on the AC units in the rooms. The best times to take a shower are mornings and nights because mid day there is a water shortage and can not shower. Place was very clean and felt comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!

wonderful beach house
walking out to the beach out the back door without any giant patio or massive amount of steps was perfect for our family. Beautiful views.

Great stay at a beautiful home!
We loved our stay here. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked and best of all, right on the beach! The patio had a comfy couch (where we spent most of the time), a table for outdoor dining and a fire pit that we used every night. Only issue was we had one day of torrential rains resulting in some leaks and the loss of power several times, and had no luck when trying to reach the property manager multiple times. It all worked out as we were able to fix several of the issues ourselves, but would have been nice to hear directly from the company.

Beautiful spot + unique home
The house is located in a great location on the beach. It has all the things you could need in the kitchen and elsewhere. Management did a great job answering any questions I had prior to arrival- we would definitely stay here again.

just what we needed
We had an amazing time at this quaint, artistic beachfront retreat! By communicating with the property manager before our arrival, we verified thaat the problems with bugs in a couple of reviews from August had been taken care of. We saw no sign of anything other than excellent care.

Great location. Beautiful property. However the cockroaches were relentless. This place needs major fumigation!

The ocean at your feet
The house is an amazing few dozen steps from the ocean. We spent most of our time in the patio. The house could use a few updates, like the faucet in the bedroom closest to the living room is jiggling around too much. It's a comfy stay and the ac works well. The one complaint I have is that unfortunately there are bugs I found in a drawer and in a light fixture. It appears the cleaning people don't check all the drawers after each stay bc I found some not so fun friends in the kitchen. Overall, I'd stay again but at the request that it be just a weeeee bit cleaner.
