The place was no cozy I didn’t want to leave. It rained while we were there, and The view from the back door downstairs was perfect.

Amazing time

The property was well appointed with everything we needed. We had a Chevy Traverse and navigated the drive fine. Stairs must be cautiously negotiated and this is explained in the description so it was not unexpected. The out door porch was where we spent most of our time and was lovely. The property is heavily wooded and we were pleasantly surprised not to be bothered by mosquitos. We would stay here again.

The road to this place seemed like you were driving into the wilderness. It was a little rough, but we were driving a Hyundai Elantra and we made it fine. The detailed directions given to us by Richard the manager were great, especially because during the last few miles we could not use gps. The cabin was a little quirky and rustic, but it was very cute and well equipt. The stairwell was steep, but after maneuvering it for a couple of days we made it up and down pretty easily. You are literally in the forest, so peaceful and quiet, really pretty nice! We immediately thought it was going to be buggy because of all of the trees, but it was not. We sat outside in the mornings with coffee and in the evenings. Plus it was very shaded so it seemed much cooler! You did hear animal and birds and we saw fireflies at night! You could not see anything from the deck but trees and there were other homes in the area, but we could not see anyone. We spent our time exploring the area and fishing, then coming back to grill dinner and just relax. It was very private and quiet, we really enjoyed our stay here!

Our stay was so calm and relaxing, being on the side of the hill looking over the lake and the back deck was awesome all lit up, the cottage was very clean and well stocked

Quiet cabin on a hill in the woods! Close to Cookeville so we could visit family and not have to stay in a busy area. We will stay in cabin again if available!

The property is secluded and quiet. We could sit on the porch and watch the sunrise listening to the birds every morning. A very beautiful place, excellently remodeled and decorated. Very well described in listing. Close to hiking and water activities which is what we were here for. Absolutely loved the place.

Loved the views since the leaves hadn't leafed out. Rustic and remote like I wanted.

The cabin was clean, well furnished, well supplied, and so charming! The owner was quick to respond and helpful. The bed slept amazing and the downstairs was so comfortably furnished for the evenings. We also very much enjoyed the games provided! We loved how isolated it was and just sat outside listening to the birds chirping back and forth with each other. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent view since trees weren't leafed out.
Mouse droppings hadn't been fully cleaned up. Texted and found cleaners had been there that morning.
Boat launch farther than described by road.
Loved the remoteness.

turning on washing machine and dishwasher is not a good
idea. these are electrical/mechanical devicesthat use water.
it is not uncommon for these to fail and dump a lot of water
inside a home.

We had a great time at the house. Very relaxing and we were pleased with all the amenities. We would have enjoyed an awning over the back porch since it rained the entire time, and more comfy outdoor seating. Great place!

Our stay was ok for the weekend...
The pictures on the listing showed a ramp, so we thought we could take our boat here and leave it. There was no ramp on the property, there was also no turn around at all so we had to back out of the driveway that is very long and narrow. The cabin was adorable, but the only complaint we had was the down stairs stayed somewhat cool but the upstairs was horribly hot! Other than that we enjoyed our stay, and the owner was nice enough to let us check in early!!

Pictures are deceiving
Unfortunately, this location was dirty and smelled like Mildew or mold horribly. We only stay 1 night and found others arrangements for the rest of our trip. We had to stay the 1 night and by morning we all felt ill and some of us started coughing.
I reached out to the managers of the property privately but I never heard back so I am leaving this review to hopefully prevent someone else an unexpected expense of finding new lodging.

Quiet getaway close to Center Hill Lake
Property was clean, well stocked and furnished. Good location for us to meet up with family at nearby Center Hill Lake for a couple of days. Some updates would help the overall experience -- for example, the railing going down the stairs is loose and the refrigerator doors are rusty (although the fridge worked just fine). Our biggest complaint would be the temperature control. We had a hard time keeping the main floor cool enough to be comfortable, even by cranking down the air. Kids had to sleep with fans blowing all night. Overall, however, it worked well for our purposes.

Fantastic mountain Cabin
This cabin was built into the mountainside and the view off the back of the house was breathtaking. The property manager was fantastic and stayed on the phone with us whole we were pulling in so we didn't feel lost. Would recommend 10/10 😀. We will be back for sure.

Super cute
Property was well off the beaten path, in the woods with a view of water far below. The decor was adorable but more suitable for a young family, not for us seniors who have difficulty with stairs and platform beds.

Girls getaway
Property is def secluded. We had a few hiccups but owners was very quick to figure out course of action. My only real complaint would be I am sens to smells and I felt the house smelled musky but my friend thought it was normal for the age of house. There were enough supplies and house was overall good.

Dangerous road condition and unsatisfactory home condition
The road to get to the house is extremely curvy. The road turns into gravel and has a hairpin turn before you get to the driveway. The driveway is steep getting up to the house. The gravel road was partly washed out and dangerous. We needed a 4 wheel drive to get to the house. The refrigerator and stove were dirty. I had to clean the inside of the refrigerator before even putting anything into the refrigerator. The ice maker did not have anything to catch ice. The limited pots and pans that were available to use were dirty. I have to clean the pots and baking dish before using them. There are steep steps going downstairs and the bansiter on the steps was loose and unsafe. There was no trim or loose trim on the floor when transitioning from the sitting room into the kitchen which was a tripping hazard. There were no cushions on the swing or chairs on the porch, so we were unable to use them. We had planned to stay 3 nights but only stayed 1 night due to all the issues. Also, we had no or very limited cell service in the house. We did have internet access. It was schedule to rain several of the days we were there and we did not feel it would be safe to get out due to the existing road condition. This house needs some repairs on the inside and a through cleaning.

Fun fishing trip weekend.
The house was relatively clean and had a great back deck view, as well as a cool living room in the downstairs area. Also, the owner was super friendly and responsive.

Nice little get away!
Lovely time spent on the property! It was such a nice drive out and the weather was great. We enjoyed down time and just being away from the city. The cabin was decorated amazingly and we loved the vibe.

Girls Getaway Weekend
Cute, clean and relaxing. Caroline is so helpful and ensures your stay meets both your expectations and comforts. So if you are looking to get away from all the big city noise and want to get away to nature, this is the place. There was 3 of us, space and setup was perfect. You will fee like you are living off the grid - just what we were looking for peace and quiet. Interior decor and details are as pictured.

Cute and cozy tree house experience
Loved our stay at this extremely cute and cozy place! We were a group with 5 adults - the pictures are a true representation of the space. The property is very well kept. Every singly corner of the house is detailed with a cute and thoughtful interior. I loved how the house was split between modern and rustic - with modern-ish rooms and rustic living room overlooking the treehouse deck. The check-in process was very easy. The owner is very prompt in all correspondence. This is a true "in the woods" kind of house/cabin. We cooked in the house every day and loved using the gas and coal grills. While the space is tight, but it has been very well utilized. We did not have any kids in our group, but I am sure they would have loved their adorable sleeping space. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who would like a true living in the woods experience while still having all the amenities.

Wonderful , Peaceful Home In The Woods
My husband and I recently celebrated our 10 year anniversary at this peaceful home in the woods. We had such a wonderful time here! The house is cozy and decorated beautifully, with plenty of cozy blankets and a great lower level shower. This house has so much charm!
There is a big back deck off the lower level with a porch swing and table/chairs along with a charcoal grill. You have a beautiful view of the woods from this deck and it's very peaceful and quiet sitting on the deck -- at night we listened to the river running below. There is also another smaller deck up off the upper level, where there's a gas grill.
As another reviewer mentioned, the driveway is gravel and quite steep but we managed it OK in our junky old corolla, but just something to consider if your tires are worn.
The owners were absolutely WONDERFUL and even left a bottle of champagne in the fridge for us as I have mentioned we were staying for our anniversary. A+ trip in an A+ house. Highly recommended!

Definite Treehouse Experience
The overall trip was wonderful and this cabin is truly in the woods on the side of a bluff in the trees. It's small but spacious. The driveway is a bit scary at first - steep and very narrow. The rocks are washing away at the entrance of the driveway but my QX80 make it up no problem.
The only thing we needed to bring was food and drinks. It was stocked with everything else you may need.
The only downfall was the abundance of cave crickets that seemed to like the lower level but they're harmless and bring good luck.
It was the perfect place to unplug and getaway.
