Amazing place to stay, with lovely welcoming staff, especially Sameera who is the caretaker. All the staff are very hospitable and kind. The garden is very well maintained and you can see people working hard to upkeep. Don't miss going to Moon plains which is just five mins away from the back door (staff guided us). It is 10 mins away from the Gregory lake and you can easily get tuk-tuks once you step out to the main road which is couple of mins away. The balcony gives a nice country side view. The breakfast is amazing. Glad we did not book the usual hotel stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Tried very hard to think what we did not like. Just can't think of anything.

The loveliest host, tucked away in between the tea plantations - it was such a cute spot.
We were gifted some local tea at checkout which was such a sweet gesture.
We loved our sunset walk through the tea plantations - so beautiful!
Mattress was unfortunately really uncomfortable, it dipped in the middle so we had a pretty rough nights sleep

The room was clean and well maintained. The facilities where adequate. The location was excellent.
The value for money, a little costly among the available properties.

The staff was perfect always available and kind.
Location near the center and in the middle of the tea plants.
Very good value for money, recommended.
Our room was very humid as it was on the ground floor and the bathroom very old. It will be perfect if you request a first floor room.

The property was cute, quaint, well kept and stunning little garden. Lovely set amongst the tea fields.
Really good value for money.
The only thing I could say was the bed was a little uncomfortable and small for my husband.
Perhaps a few more power points in the bedroom.

The manager of the property was kind and accommodating. The breakfast served was nice. The rooms and the property looked clean. But wouldn't recommend this place for the price being charged.
Probably due to the weather, the rooms had a mouldy smell which lead to allergies for both of us, leading to lack of sleep. The rooms were stuffy and had no ventilation leading to the mouldy smell. We tried opening the window at night, which only attracted mosquitos and other insects inside the room. Even the other guest staying in the room next door, had to sleep on the couch in the common living area because of her sinuses. The carpet in the main living area was so dirty. The property is dated and bathroom needs major renovations. The photos don't match what we actually get because even the outdoor garden furniture is old and dirty. The tea estate is next to the property while the front view is a garden and the road ahead. This property can have great potential but fails to impress.

There are only three rooms, two on the ground floor and one on the first floor, so the villa is quite peaceful and quiet (except some barking dogs around :-)). From the balcony on the first floor, there are nice views thanks to the surrounding tea plantations. The host and the staff were very kind, helpful and flexible regarding the breakfast time. They also prepared a packed breakfast for us when we were leaving early for Horton Plaines. We also received a set of teas as a farewell gift. They accept cards.
On the ground floor, there is a common kitchen corner and living space where breakfast is served. Unfortunately, there is only 1 table for 6 people, which causes misunderstandings when all guests want to have breakfast at the same time. Although the upper room has a capacity of 4 people, some of the equipment is only for 2 guests (mugs, bedside tables and lamps). The bathroom and fittings are quite tired and need some repairs and renovation. Thanks to the heater the room was quite warm, but we were a bit fighting with hot water.

The host and the staff, the location and the view from the room. The room is super spacious.
The bathroom should be slightly renewed as furniture is quite worn out.

Nice quiet location, outside of town.
The property itself and rooms are smaller than presented. Led to issues around adequate space for everyone to have breakfast. Also under lighted.

Amazing place with a nice garden and wonderful staff. Breakfast was nice, the room is spacious and has a heater so it's always warm and there is hot water in the shower. View from the terrace is beautiful.
And they gave me a thoughtful present at the end, a bag with local tea, just amazing.
Would definitely recommend it

- super friendly and very attentive host
- Gave us local tea as a gift
- Welcomed us with lovely tea and biscuits
- Checking up on us and making sure we had everything we needed
- Room was clean but could need a little renovation here and there
- location is very good, just a quick walk away to the lake and surrounded by tea plantages
- Maybe something was off with ventilation, because the bed sheets felt damped and kind of smelt moldy

The hosts were very warm and welcoming. The house had a pretty estate house look, and is located amidst the tea garden. There is a lawn beside the house, with a table setup to have tea, and also a few hammocks and a bed.
Since we had to leave early, they provided us packaged breakfast, and complimentary Ceylon tea.
The buildings beside the estate are a bit ugly and spoil the landscape. But i dont think it's under the owner's control.
There is no access to the tea plantations if anyone wishes to.

A friendly welcome from the hosts and facilities provided matched what was listed for room. Breakfast was good and we even received a gift on departure.
Nice garden out the front.
The bathroom could be cleaner and water did not drain properly from shower.
Could have catered more for dietary requirements.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. The manager even gifted us with a box of tea at the end of our stay, which was very kind. The garden is beautiful and the location is convenient, only a 15 minute walk from Gregory lake.
There was an issue with hot water, however this was resolved the next day.

It was an exceptional stay at The Tea Garden!! The property is very well maintained, the room was cosy, they have a nice little garden full of beautiful flowers and the staff was super friendly and helpful.
All in all a great place where you can experience the typical Sri Lankan hospitality to the fullest!!

We loved our stay here! We were met on our arrival, we were offered some tea and even received some tea as gift - highly appreciated! The staff was super friendly and offered us to show the tea plantation next to the hotel. As we left the hotel at 5AM, breakfast was prepared to go. The rooms are clean, spacious and have everything you might need. Really recommend this hotel.

My suggestion is to improve the cleaning.

Very nice colonial style property in the tea fields, you feel like the ancient landlords. The furnishing is stylish and tasteful and the owner gave us a very warm Welcome and was very helpful with all kinds of travel issues. Communication was great.
Its in the outskirts of the city, so you definetly need a tuktuk to get anywhere. Anyway this is no problem as the owner organizes that immediately

Our short stay at The Tea Garden was very comfortable. Check in was very smooth and the room was beautifully decorated. As we left early the next morning to hike in Horton Plains, we were provided with a delicious packed breakfast. We even received a box of tea as a gift upon arrival!
Everything was great. We wish we could have stayed longer.

The house is perfect, very stylish and beautiful. Shameera is the very helpful host. Also we were amazed with the breakfast, we were proposed to choose casual food and local. Both time it was very tasty and well served.

The host was extremely responsive, helpful and kind. Other staff was also very nice. Shower is hot and within 1 minute you are wandering through the tea fields. Although the room was a bit pricy and outdated we can highly recommend!

We loved the whole experience. The caretaker (host) Sameera was genuinely so nice and welcoming. He gave us a free upgrade to a larger and more expensive room too. He was available at any time we needed help and was attentive. The breakfast was so nice and was actually too much :) and had a nice little chat with him while eating. Our little kid got a nice gift from him too and that has never happened to us before. It has a nice garden with three hammocks and we had fun. We will definitely go back to this place for another stay.

The Host Chameera was exceptional. When we reached he was waiting outside the property (I don't know for how long) to receive us. A very very humble and cooperative person, helped us to order food, get train information, arrange local transport and anything we asked
They only have the option of breakfast. They should be serving lunch and dinner also. The property is little away from the main city and we were limited to order food cannot go to the restaurants as it was raining

The staff is very attentive and the house is located in a very beautiful environment. We were alone in the whole house.
Some appliances are a bit old (bathroom, plugs and windows).

Super friendly hosts in a quiet spot just outside the centre of Nuwara Eliya. Our hosts were very helpful in helping us with trips, organising transport and even gave us a tour of the nearby tea plantation. The house is a 10 minute walk away from the lake and isn't too challenging to walk to the city though the hosts can organise a tuk tuk if you prefer.

Our room was spacious and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed tea on the terrace with views of the tea farm outside. Communication was good and staff were friendly and helpful.
The bathroom and shower are a little dated
