Pretty much everything, friendly and helpful staff, nice shared kitchen and convenient location.
We had a street facing room, which got a fair amount of street noise at night.

Esto es solo informacion adicional: el parking es privado y el precio es de 6 dólares la noche.

I had a wonderful stay at El Andariego. My room was very comfortable, the wifi was excellent (I work online and had no problems with video calls or using the internet) and the staff was so kind and helped me with everything I needed. The location is also fantastic (right in downtown Otavalo!). Highly recommend!

Comfortable and clean!
NOT COMPLAINING, JUST INFORMING.
No Restaurant as advertised
No Breakfast as advertised
No hot water. Could be the morning demand
Parking was advertised in booking at 3.00 at the site. It is actually a parking lot across the street, and was quoted at $6.00 from 8pm-8am. It actually cost $12.00

A central haven from town bustle. Light airy public spaces with comfortable seating areas. Great shared kitchen. A sociable place but still quiet at night (our room was at the back).
Our room was cramped and lit by a single overhead bulb after dark. The public spaces are really good here, so if you want to cook and hang out a big part of your time it's great. If nice rooms are your priority there are better options.

Outstanding staff, clean rooms, beautiful building, centrally located.
The kitchen could have used more cutlery.

The Hotel is right in the center of Otavalo which is amazing! the kitchen and the rooms are good. everything is very simple but you have all you need. it was very quiet and i felt a little bit alone in this big house.
very open spaced and not so social

We absolutely loved this place!! Probably our favourite of our whole trip in Ecuador! The hotel itself is sooo cool looking with how they have decorated. We got offered different room options and chose one that faced the street and had double doors opening to a balcony so we enjoyed sitting out there with a beer people watching on the busy street below! There was easy parking across the street that isn't part of the hotel so you pay but it isn't much and the attendants there were also very nice. They did our washing for $2 for a whole bag! Great kitchen on site too which was good for keeping drinks cold. We loved that we could step outside and we were right in town so there were many food options and the famous market was two blocks away!
Not many downsides, only one was that our bathroom light didn't work and the shower didn't go very warm, but we loved the place so much we didn't care. People have commented the rooms are small but when you're exploring a new place you shouldn't be in your room much anyway, we found it to be all that we needed!

Hotel El Andariego was the perfect place to stay in Otavalo, located in the heart of the city makes it great to reach easly all parts of the city. was beautifuly decorated with the tipical fabrics and style of Otavalo, very clean, great and kind staff helping in everything they can. it was just great! we loved it so much that came back after we went to Ibarra to stay a couple more days in El Andariego :).
Their Restaurant Fuya! it is just amazing food. for a great ambient and price! was actualy our favorite Restaurant in Otavalo.

The room I had was very colourful. The staff were nice. There was a basic kitchen for the staff even if I did not use it.
There was nothing I didn't like.

good location, hot showers and good wifi
Noisy rooms, no elevator , only basic amenities included—I.e. no bath math or hooks, hard pillows, small rooms, no coffee service or breakfast

The hotel was very well located. The staff was really nice. The facilities were clean and quiet.
The room was a little small. They only accept cash for payment. The "promotion" I got was not accurate. The room was originally listed at $60 USD and "discounted" to $25 USD but in reality 25 USD is the correct price.

The staff is very kind and nice.
Location is very good.
Bed is confortable.
It has a parking lot right in front.
The rooms are quite different from the photos and very small (at least the one we stayed in).
It's quite cold inside the room as the windows don't close completely (there are small gaps).
When we were there apparently there was an issue with the hot water which they explained there was a water leak and they needed to cut off the hot water. Fortunately they opened up it for a bit at the end of the day and we were able to take a shower. However, when we woke up the next morning there was no hot water again. (Imagine we would prefer to take a shower in the morning, it would not be possible). No one said a thing about it they just shut the hot water and that's it.
No breakfast.
7.0
Location, restaurant, and the style of the hotel.
Very uncomfortable pillows and a weird and annoying noise in the whole building (like a noise from a machine) all the day.
9.0
The rooms and restaurant on premises were extremely clean. Location on one of the main streets in Otavalo was amazingly quiet after a certain hour. Close to all amenities!
The room we stayed in was very small, however we did have a lovely sitting area just outside of our room.
8.0
The location is in the center of Otavalo, close to all attractions and restaurants. The rooms are spacious, with a TV and WIFI connection. The kitchen is with full amenities. Staff are attentive and caring.
The rooms were clean and cleaned every day, but when using the shower for the first time it was not clean, but the staff cleaned the shower when requested immediately. There was a food sink in the room that did not run.
