Nicest place in Otavalo

Excellent breakfast, very clean, beautiful location, quiet room, lots of outdoor spaces to sit, good wifi. Hotel has large courtyard with trees and plants. Beautiful old building, lovingly upgraded.

A very pretty hotel, delightful garden courtyard, excellent facilities, and very friendly helpful staff. They went out of the usual to help me get to all the places I wanted to go in my very short time in Otavalo. Highly recommend!

I loved it and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

What a delightful place. Spotlessly clean, well situated in the heart of Otavalo, with super friendly and helpful staff. I loved this place and would definitely stay there again in a heartbeat. So cute too! Beautiful courtyard and gardens, plenty of spaces to relax and read away from the hustle and bustle of Otavalo. A lovely sanctuary. Excellent breakfast. You can walk to everything from there. The bed was extremely comfortable. Great hot water and there were excellent towels. I was impressed how quiet it was, protected from the city noise but also from the other guests.

The room is somewhat sparse with a table/desk and chair. Plenty big room, but no soft furniture like a couch or soft chair to sit in, although there were comfy places to sit in the courtyard and sitting areas in the lobby and main floor. Not a biggie at all, but it is a very simple room, so if you are expecting a fancy room, it is not that. I must emphasize the cleanliness. Wow. Spotless.

Hostal Riviera Sucre is in a great location, you can easily walk to all the sights in Otavalo. The inner courtyard and the garden are very beautiful and invite you to linger. The hotel staff is very friendly, helpful and competent, we felt very welcome and comfortable. The room is big and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is very good with a choice of breads, cheeses, cereals and yoghurts.

Staff is fabulous. Location is very convenient and near a lovely alley that has murals, plants, and benches and is the back side of Hotel Otavalo. Hostal gardens and overall interior of the hostal is warm and welcoming.

Bath is a bit small. Breakfast is included a d lovely, but lacks variety for multiple day stays.

Loads of Ecuadorian Charm. Patios with beautiful flowers. Great breakfast which is included. Location perfect,walking distance to the famous Saturday market. Staff very helpful.

location was great. the room was clean and comfortable. the staff was very helpful and friendly, breakfast was good. noise from outside was minimal.

the door (double) closed with a large space between that let light right onto one of the beds and let in a lot of noise.

Nice vibe, very cosy, great breakfast. The room even had heating (which is so rare and so nice in the Andes).

Room was facing a busy street. We were woken up at midnight by people singing loudly outside. Fortunately it didnt last long and we were able to fall sleep again. Next time we will request an inside room with views to the garden instead.

Breakfast was tasty with eggs, yogurt, fruit and bread. Staff was super attentive and helpful. Big room with hot water in the shower. There is secure parking about three blocks from the hotel. The location is walking distance from the various markets and cultural sites.

The hotel is located in a busy part of town so if street noise and traffic bothers you then get a room that doesn't face the streets (many rooms don't).

Cute, but not ideal if you want to sleep.

The staff was kind and considerate. The place is neat and cute.

There is loud music that plays until 3A in the morning, and the dogs bark all night. The walls are just not sound proof and it is off of the busy road where everyone comes into Otavalo so not an ideal location for good sleep or relaxation.

An oasis in town

The beautiful gardens, the ever smiling staff (especially Paulina), the excellent breakfasts and the good value laundry.

Very calm and soothing hotel with very comfortable rooms and great interior courtyard.

We had the room 20 which has it's own private terrasse with a view on the Cotacachi volcano (it was very cloudy so we did not see it entirely but still...). We were very impressed with this. The room was very clean and warm and the bed was extremely comfortable. Fredy was very accomodating also and agreed to keep our luggage for the day after the checkout since we left for the airport at n=ight around 7 pm. We could also use a shower just before leaving at night, which was a nice touch. The staff (2 young men) and Freddy were all very nice and made us feel at ease. You can't go wrong with this hotel. It was recommended to us by our driver and we would come back for sure.

The shower in our room functionned awckwadrly and we lacked hot water for a couple of minutes each time but overall not a big deal. Also there was not fruits served for breakfast which was a bit disapointing but the fresh juice was excellent so again, not a big deal.

Everything was good the place is nice and cozy and the staff are very friendly and kind.

The only thing is the parking if you have a car the parking is a couple blocks away from there but they go with you so you feel safe.

lovely clean rooms and bathroom. the garden was pretty and breakfast could be had in the garden . pleasant helpful staff team

would have liked the breakfast menu’s to be clearly displayed as I didn’t realise that granola and fruit was available
