About this apartment rental
CIN: IT065116C1TQYFBZOV
La Maison du Paradis B&B is located on the third floor (with elevator) of an elegant 18th century building with three balconies overlooking Via Roma and Piazza Amendola. Central location for walking to the beach of Santa Teresa, the Verdi theater, the cathedral, the best restaurants in Salerno and the famous Christmas markets.
La Maison du Paradis is the ideal place to spend a dream vacation: in fact it provides the traditional bed & breakfast services and at the same time guarantees independence, freedom and privacy thanks to the exclusive use of the apartment.
Breakfast is very abundant: yogurt, milk, fresh fruit, cakes, biscuits, honey, jams, nutella, coffee, tea, ...
*** La Maison du Paradis is located 1 minute walk from the beach ***
During the Christmas period, the palace is immersed in the magic of the Artist's Lights: the Villa Comunale, which is right in front, turns into the "Enchanted Garden" for the occasion.
Thanks to its formidable position, guests can easily reach all the most beautiful tourist destinations in Campania. In fact the maritime station, designed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid, is just 5 minutes away: from here all ferries to Ischia and Capri and the Amalfi Coast depart.
Moreover, at 3 minutes far from the building there is a bus stop that reaches all the villages of the Amalfi Coast: Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Amalfi, Ravello and Positano.
About 20 minutes on foot is also the train station to easily reach Pompeii, Herculaneum, Naples, Paestum and Caserta.

Their place exceeded our expectations! It was a great size and an even better location. Only a block from the free beach. They give you many suggestions and meet you at check in. Would recommend to anyone!

From start to finish, our 10 day stay was “perfetto”! Pasquale met us outside at front door with a warm welcome. The place was both immaculate and homey. He was a call away for anything that we needed. We were near the old town and the waterfront. The best place we stayed in our Italy sojourn.

This could not have been a better experience for us. Everything worked very well. Pasquale and Giusy were excellent hosts. And the location was marvelous.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this apartment! The location is outstanding, right in the heart of the downtown Salerno. It is close to restaurants, theater, bus stops, train station (it is about 15 min away, we walked there multiple times). The hosts, Pasquale and Giusy, are very hospitable! They are proud of their apartment, care about their guests and were making sure we had everything needed during our stay, and more! Pasquale met us at the apartment when we arrived and provided us with the historical information of the building, gave us suggestions about restaurants, how to get to Amalfi coast, answered our questions. We are glad we found this apartment for our stay in Salerno!

It's with a heavy heart that I have to write this review because I would love to keep this town and this apartment a secret. We started our Italy tour in Rome, then Florence, and finally arrived in Salerno. We only booked this place bc we wanted to do the pompei/Vesuvius tour on the way to Positano, but didn't want to stay in Napoli. It was a two night stay and we absolutely fell in love with Salerno. It's away from the crowded tourist towns and has plenty of its own charm and delicious dining. The apartment was the best one that we stayed at on our journey. It was clean, comfortable, and came stocked with snacks and espresso with an easy to use Kuerig type machine. Pasquale met Amy's at the apartment and walked us through everything, including dining options which he is a wealth of knowledge on. He also kept in contact and arranged for all of our transportation which was important bc we don't speak Italian and there were few English speakers in Salerno. He checked in with me regularly to ensure that we had everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for a better host. The apartment is right in the middle of all of the really good dining options and night life. We will absolutely be back again. Ciao!

My husband and I have dreamt of an Italy trip for most of our marriage. We planned for over a year and it finally came true. LaMaison du Paradis met all of my requirements, immaculate, elevator, comfortable bed and good location. HOWEVER, this apartment exceeded my expectation. The apartment was in a beautiful historical building and the apartment was absolutely charming! To top this our host Pasquale and Giuse treated us like Family ! Their hospitality was over and beyond anything I have ever experienced with a VRBO host. Pasquale communication with me from booking until the end of our stay was exceptional!! He met us upon arrival, explained everything to us, with suggestions for restaurants and sights to see. There was yogurt, milk, muffins, cake coffee, tea, cereal and milk made available. A huge bowl of oranges was there for us to make orange juice in the morning! If that wasn’t enough he checked in with us daily and helped arrange a taxi for our transport from Salerno to sorrento when my husband became ill. He acted like my son only in Italy. I will forever be grateful for all his assistance n making my stay in Salerno a memorable one !!!

One of my best vrbo experiences. Excellent place to stay with the best hosts! Highly recommend!!

We stayed in this lovely apartment a few days last week and loved every moment there. We agree with all the previous 5* reviews and could not have had a nicer stay. The hosts were wonderful and the apartment exceptionally clean and up to date, but in a lovely historic building. The views and location are tremendous. We look forward to returning for another stay. We had earlier in the week stayed in a 4* hotel in Amalfi but enjoyed this lovely Salerno apartment very much more. It immediately felt like home. Keep up the good work.

La Maison du Paradis is a lovely, well-equipped apartment in the heart of Salerno. It had everything we needed for our 10-night stay – a comfortable bed; well-equipped kitchen; spacious dining and sitting area; and tons of storage space so we could completely unpack our suitcases. It was extremely clean. The apartment has large windows in each room, making it bright and cheerful, but has shutters that can be closed at night to make it dark for sleeping.
The location of the apartment was excellent. Just out of the back door of the building, you are in the oldest part of the city, minutes away from restaurants, shops, and lanes filled with interesting architecture and the people of Salerno going about their daily lives. We loved it. The apartment is also within easy walking distance to Salerno’s two harbors from which you can catch ferry boats to the Amalfi coast towns and to Capri. Do be aware however, that some ferry service is suspended during the winter months.
What makes this apartment so special is its hosts – Giusy and Pasquale. They were wonderful to us. From the moment we arrived, they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, and they were eager to provide recommendations on places to eat and things to do in the area. It was like having a concierge at a hotel. We have rented many homes and apartments on VRBO over the years, and have had some good hosts, but Giusy and Pasquale are the best ever. They truly are super hosts in every sense.

Amazing apartment in the heart of Salerno! I couldn't have asked for a better location. Pasquale, the owner, is an amazing and helpful guy who made sure I was well taken care of and even recommended several great restaurants and taverns to check out during my stay. You must stay here when you visit Salerno. You won't be disappointed. Many thanks! Jeremy

We loved our stay at La Maison du Paradis in Salerno. The apartment was perfectly situated for our sight-seeing as we could walk everywhere and it provided everything we needed for a lovely stay in Salerno. Our hosts were wonderful and were quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.

The apartment locates in the center of Salerno and so close to the beach! The wonderful view!
We stayed at the apartment for 3 nights. The host Pasquale met us and explained everything what we should know. The apartment was very comfortable, clean, well organized and fully equipped with all what tourists may need! The welcome kit include d fruits, pastries, yogurt, milk, apple pie and much more! It was so nice and generous of the host! Pasquale was very attentive to our needs and we felt safe and secure having a person in Italy you can count on just in case! We travel a lot but frankly we never met an owner like Pasquale, who treated us as family members! We highly recommend this property and hope to come back soon!

We had an amazing stay in Salerno at La Maison du Paradis and used it as a base to explore The Amalfi Coast.
Our stay greatly exceeded our expectations for the following reasons:
- the apartment is perfect to rest and relax: it is peaceful and quiet;
- the apartment is very clean, spacious and well appointed;
- the location is convenient in that bus, ferry, and train transport is within walking distance (there is a bus stop that is a 2 minute walk from the apartment). There are numerous restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. The old city is adjacent to the rear entrance to the building and a great place to dine/shop/explore at night.
In short, it was like living a fairy tale!
We found lovely pastry, yogurt, milk and fresh oranges to make juice in the morning. Such a nice touch.
Pasquale spent some time showing us the different features of the apartment and was very friendly and made us feel at home immediately. He was so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay . As an example, when we woke up the next morning he had texted us asking how we were doing and if we needed any help.
I truly have never experienced this level of hospitality in Italy.
We highly recommend staying here!
Giusy and Pasquale are lovely people and they really made our experience of Salerno extra special.
Thank you Pasquale and Giusy for your incredible hospitality and warm home.

We loved our stay in Salerno- highly recommend!
We were treated very well by both Guisy and Pasquale during our trip to Salerno. The house is immaculate with everything working in perfect order. We were spoiled with a lovely selection of breakfast items and snacks as well as a delicious home made pastry cake made by Guisy. When we had any questions or wanted tips, Pasquale was quick to respond and provide helpful information on every topic. This is a 5+ star accommodation!

Gracious hosts but bring your earplugs!
As other reviewers have said, the hosts were very welcoming. Pasquale picked us up at the train station. There was a lot of food in the kitchen. This is appreciated, because after a long trip you dont have time to shop.
We were disappointed, however, that the apartment is directly above a bar/restaurant, and there was loud laughing and shouting Friday and Saturday nights into the early morning.
The windows did not keep out the sound, and we could hear conversations on the street.
Salerno is a city, and like cities, has bars, etc. It is just that we recommend that the traveler come prepared with ear plugs.
It would be very nice for the hosts to provide earplugs. This is a service we have found elsewhere.
Also, we felt that 10:00 am check out is the earliest of all the many homes in which we stayed in five countries, and it was inconvenient for us.
Despite the problems I did rate the home with 4 stars as good, and as I said, appreciated the friendliness of the hosts.

No Words Can Describe !
What a wonderful time I had in Salerno staying at Pasquale and Giusy’s lovely apartment. I fell in love with Salerno! It’s a place I could see myself living. It’s not touristy at all which is a great way to experience Italian living. The town of Salerno is beautiful, very walkable, wonderful restaurants, great location with Amalfi Coast, Positano and Naples just a short distance away.
Be sure to visit the medieval castle above Salerno. It’s well worth the visit. If you are a Caffè addict like I am there’s a great caffe, Bar Rosa, a couple of blocks away
Pasquale and Giusy are the perfect hosts. Pasquale checked in on me daily to make sure I was enjoying my stay. Giusy made this fantastic apricot torte! The apartment was well supplied with fresh fruit when I arrived
I definitely plan on visiting Salerno again and would definitely book this apartment !

My short time in Salerno was made special by the attentive and gracious hosts of La Maison du Paradis. From transport to and from the train station to the fresh fruit and other breakfast items-- home baked goodies are a definite plus--everything was made easy. The prepared timetables helped in planning day trips around the region. Salerno is a lovely choice for a stay and here is the place to book.

A wonderful apartment in a perfect location
This is our second year renting this marvelous apartment. The hosts were outstanding, providing homemade cakes and cookies every day along with yogurt, cheeses, meats and other treats. The apartment is absolutely perfect: lovely furnishings, spotless throughout, sunny and bright. Our hosts were always ready to help us with restaurant recommendations or solving our travel challenges (cell phones). We will be back again to enjoy La Maison du Paradis!

Pulizia profonda. Wi-Fi. Tutti i comfort presenti.

Excellent
As soon as we booked this apartment we received an e.mail with a very warm welcome from the owners. This was continued throughout the lead up to our holiday and during our holiday. Pasquale was attentive and was keen to assist us to ensure our stay was a good one. As we arrived late in Naples, he very kindly offered to pick us up from the airport which was a huge help to us.
The apartment was superb and spotlessly clean this was due to the hardwork and daily cleaning by Giuse. Breakfast was plentiful and the handmade cakes Giuse presented were absolutely delicious.
The location of the apartment was also excellent, less than a minutes walk from a beautiful seafront. Set in the old town of Salerno with lovely restaurants, our favourite was L’unico which was also recommended by Pasquale. A short walk took us to the modern town which is well worth a visit for shopping.
I would definitely recommend this apartment for all the reasons listed above.
A great place to stay with easy access to Capri, Amalfi, Pompeii and Sorrento. Thank you Pasquale and Giuse for being such wonderful hosts.

A truly remarkable find!
Giusy and Pasquale have created a bit of paradise. A cozy recently renovated one bedroom apartment in an historic building in the Centre of Salerno. There is daily cleaning a refreshing of the suite with fresh fruit and pastries left for breakfast. Not into pastries (although hard not to try Guisy’s baking)then they will leave yo cheese cereals, mil and meats. It is located centrally so that there is easy walking to virtually anywhere you may wish to go. Both ports for ferry services to the many Amalfi towns, out the back door to the city’s old town abounding with quaint, traditional restaurants. Don’t know where to go? No problem! Pasquale has many suggestions to help you find just the right place. Out the front door and you are just a short walk to the seaside and wonderful long walks on Salerno’s boardwalk. Our two hosts were welcoming and considerate to our needs. The two picked us up at the train terminal and Pasquale was kind enough to drive us to Sorrento for the continuation of our Italian adventure. Our only complaint...we should have stayed longer than our 4 days. We will next time. Thank you for your hospitality!

A taste of luxury in the loveliest part of town
Situated on a lovely square, accross road from local beach, easy access to ferries, busses and train station. The historic part of the town is literally outside the rear entrance to the palazzo. The apartment was cleaned daily, clean towels and sheets and was sparkling. Giusy and Pasquale are wonderful hosts, meeting us on arrival at the station and giving us a lift on departure. They provided everything for breakfast plus fresh fruit and the most amazing home made cakes. Pasquale gave us lots of useful advice about getting around. A perfect base from which to explore the Amalfi Coast.

B&B La Maison du Paradis and its hosts are a perfect combination for a perfect stay
Our stay started long before we arrived. Pasquale was in contact with us inquiring what we may need for our stay in Salerno. He gave us options for traveling from Sorrento to Salerno. One option was the fast speed ferries, which we took. It was a phenomenal way to see the Amalfi Coast and an introduction to Salerno. Upon arrival Pasquale and Giusy met us at the port and drove us to their beautiful apartment. Pasquale showed us around and gave insight to the town and surrounding areas. He was very attentive and concerned that everything was just right, and it was. The apartment is in a strategic location for touring in any direction and equipped with many comforts including soundproof windows that open up and allow you to enjoy the sounds of Salerno. Giusy is one for detail and care, there was always a fresh baked cake and cookies along with fresh fruit, cereal, milk, croissants, jams and some of the best home coffee we've had. The juicer made for good orange juice in the morning. Beds were made daily, linens were always clean and fresh and the apartment was always spotless. After a long day you could enjoy the older part of Salerno and many of its restaurants out the back entrance or out the front for more restaurants or over to the promenade to watch local football teams compete. Because of the quality of service we received, we extended stay. In all, La Maison du Paradis was a delightful place to stay and a many thanks to Giucy and Pasquale for their thoughtful and caring charm.

Wonderful location, great hosts and everything we needed for a great stay!
Staying here was an absolute pleasure for us, we ended up staying in the area even longer than expected. Great hosts, great accommodations and lots of wonderful information about the area. Even some home made baked goods. Thank you for a great stay!

La Maison du Paradis - a hidden gem
I will review the apartment, the building in which the apartment is located in, the surrounding area in Salerno, and most importantly, our hosts Giusy and Pasquale. Apartment: The La Madison du Paradis is warm and inviting, clean and spotless. It was also that way each day we returned from our exploring the surrounding area during our four nights stay. The kitchen is fully equipped. Each day we had an assortment of fresh milk, yogurt, coffee, tea, fresh fruit, and AMAZING home baked cakes and tarts by Giusy. Despite the vibrant bustling street below, the apartment was quiet for sleeping or relaxing. Open the large glass doors to the balcony, and you are immersed in Salerno city life. Building: The apartment is located within the historic Palazzo Luciani. Step outside the large wooden front door and you are immersed in a vibrant city set amongst baroque architecture. You're one block away from the promenade where you can enjoy a safe evening passeggiata, or 100m from a beautiful park to explore its gardens. However, the real gem is stepping out the back door of the apartment building. You are transported back in time to cobblestone streets and alleys, small local shops and restaurants of Salerno's historic district; It reminds me of Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter movie. I can't emphasize enough how special this place is. It is not crowded with tourists. You will be walking among primarily the local residents. This was the favorite part of our stay in Salerno. The building is also conveniently located within a 15 minute walk to the ferries which will shuttle you to the coastal towns of the Amalfi coast. I would recommend taking the ferry over a bus or car since you will get a view of the beautiful coastline which is not available from the road. My wife and I visited Amalfi and Positano during our stay. While beautiful, they were very touristy. We realized that those are the places you "visit" Italy, while Salerno is where you "live" Italy. Hosts: I have saved the best for last. From the very beginning, Giusy and Pasquale went above and beyond our expectations as hosts. They met us at the train station and gave us a ride to the apartment upon our arrival! Pasquale showed us around the apartment and how everything worked. They contacted us every day to make sure everything was OK and offered us tips and suggestion for our stay (what to do and places to eat, or buy groceries). They were first our hosts, now our friends.

Simply Divine
It just doesn't get any better than this! Our three night stay at B&B La Maison du Paradis was absolutely wonderful. First of all, Salerno is a great city to stay in. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, sights to see, and a beautiful waterfront to stroll on. With trains, ferries, and buses, Salerno allows for easy day trips to the Amalfi coast, Naples, Pompeii, and Paestum. The B&B La Maison du Paradis is located in the heart of the city in a historic building that has been converted to apartments. Out the front door of the building is Via Roma, with restaurants and sidewalk cafes and one block away from the waterfront. Out the back door of the building is the start of Salerno's Centro Storico, with its winding streets and alleyways containing shops, coffee bars, pizzerias, and fine restaurants. The B&B itself is like a small apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining/living room, a bedroom, bathroom, and a utility/storage room. The property is well appointed and very comfortable. There are three large windows with balconies that open up to Via Roma. The breakfast is wonderful, fresh fruit, a coffee maker, cookies, yogurt, milk, and the best lemon cake you have ever tasted. The place is simply charming. The owners/hosts, Pasquale and Giusy are amazing. The day after I booked and confirmed our reservation, I got a call from Pasquale. He introduced himself, asked when and how we would be arriving and if we had any questions. We had a very pleasant conversation about our upcoming visit; this was two and a half months before our arrival. We continued to stay in touch over that time via email until we arrived. When we arrived Pasquale and Giusy were at the train station to greet us and take us to their B&B. Before they left the made sure we were comfortably situated pointing out restaurants/sights, and answered any questions we had. Pasquale called every day to see how we were doing. To us, this was just extraordinary. These people really know the meaning of hospitality. I highly recommend B&B la Maison du Paradis to anyone that is looking for a grand place to stay in Salerno. I know we will be returning soon.

Our stay was perfect. Our hosts were attentive to our every need. I can’t imagine a better apt.
We arrived in Salerno in mid-May and used it as a base for visiting Pompeii and other nearby locations. We liked the old town of Salerno so much that we extended our stay by one day. The apartment is lovely and our hosts were exceptional. The location couldn’t be better with the ocean front out the front door and the old town out the rear entrance. It was a great stay!
