Nothing could have been improved.

Cottage is well situated for all the heritage that is in the area. It had everything in you could possibly need. Beds were soo comfy
Just a bit more attention to detail in the cleaning. Lots of cobwebs in certain areas

A fantastic small cottage on the edge of the beautiful bannau brycheiniog.
Great communication from owners and lovely welcome pack on arrival. Cottage is a home from home with everything you could need. Very quiet location and fantastic courtyard garden.
There were no problems.

Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Everything worked as it should :)

All of it. Clean, comfy, home away from home
Nothing I can pinpoint

Its facilities were of a good standard. We enjoyed being “embedded “ in the town with some good walking available without needing to use the car.

A very, very well-equipped, spotless cottage, which was warm and comfortable. We were attending a funeral on the Friday in Blaenavon, but we stayed till the Monday.
We usually stay with friends down the road when we visit, but this was a fabulous alternative.
There are some lovely eating places and great take aways nearby. The streets are very steep, so flat shoes are recommended! Also make sure you close the kitchen door when making toast or cooking as the smoke alarm will go off.
The area is very quiet and picturesque. Love this part of the world!

Excellent stay. Extremely clean. well equipped with everything you could need. Fabulous owners, they even left a wonderful welcome pack including fresh milk in the fridge.
Nothing, it was perfect.

I thought the cottage was more than adequate - it had everything you would need / want for a holiday. Parking wasn’t an issue, there was always space within close proximity, even if it wasn’t directly outside the property. There’s loads to do locally and a lot of the stuff is either free or a case of paying for parking - The Big Pit for example cost £5 to park and then free to enter. That’s very ideal when you’re trying to entertain the kids during the holidays.
The cottage was very nice and on the odd occasions that we saw the neighbours they were perfectly pleasant. Blaenavon as a town though is a little run down. We used the Co-Op and the chippy - Heritage Plaice - and they were absolutely fine.

Email sent about 5 days before with the key code and other information for the property. Responses to questions were very quick

Well equipped and comfortable.

The house was really clean and well maintained.
I loved the garden and in particular the ability to sit outside and enjoy the view. It was close to the co-op for shopping and the kitchen was well equiped and easy to use. I was really grateful that they were able to set up the beds in the main room as two singles.
Being on a hill in an old mining town the parking is limited and the roads are narrow with the bins on the pavement making it hard to walk around the town generally. Not a critique of the house but something to be aware of with small children or those of limited mobility. The stairs in the house are steep and again something to be aware of.

Good value stay. Lovely house.
The owners kindly warned us that the stairs were steep. My 3 year old flew up them. Carrying a big heavy suitcase up/down them was not so fun.

Kids loved the history of the cottage and of Bleanavon. Amazing place. The fact that it got decorated by a Formula 1 driver made it even more interesting. We all had very restful sleep in there. Lovely interior and fab view from the patio. I appreciate the guide created by the owners with the list of all the places worth visiting. The cheese from the nearby cheese shop was fantastic! I wouldn't know of its existence if it wasn't for the guide. And it's only a few steps away from the cottage, on High Street.
There's nothing we didn't like.

The cottage was very well set up, all you needed and compact.
You need to lock the front door with a key at night as it can be opened from outside when unlocked. Minor issue, but worth noting.

Good value for money, comfortable rooms, warm and cosy. Good contact and directions from owner.
The stairs are narrow and would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Bathroom requires going through kitchen.

Very well equipped cottage, everything you need for your stay is provided. House was quiet and bed was comfy so we slept well. Good access to walks from the cottage and within short drive. Historical sites on your doorstep.
Blaenavon has seen better days and is clearly suffering further from Covid restrictions. Majority of shops and pubs were closed and not very appealing anyway. athough by our last night The Lion was open and food was good. We drove into Abergavenny a couple of times, lovely town with decent restaurants.
