About this house rental
Talk about a view! Talk about a view! Sorry, but everyone loves the view. Every room in Haven Hideaway has spectacular scenes of the beach, the dunes, and the ocean.
In addition to the views, the home is truly beachfront with a stream and, did I say, incredible views?
ABOUT HAVEN HIDEAWAY
Our family loves it here. The place sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms so you can bring your friends or the kids and grandma. That way everyone is ready for scenic fun at the beach.
Have you been to Copalis Beach before? We are North of Ocean Shores, quieter but still a quick drive into the restaurants, shops, bike and moped rentals, horse biking riding and more.
You can walk directly out to the beach. There is stream you can wade most of the year. In winter the small bridge is just 2 blocks north. Either way it’s a joy to feel the ocean air, see the birds and experience the mighty Pacific Ocean.
The kitchen is fully outfitted with pots, pans, oven and range. For the table you'll find plates, flat ware and more. You can make a nice family dinner here without feeling cramped.

You may just want to spend most of your time on the beach that is just down an easy foot path to the wide flat gray sand. Watch the birds, jump the waves. You can have a full day kit flying, collecting agates or counting your sand dollars.
Then come home to the upstairs where you'll find the living room, dining room, kitchen, and one of the bedrooms this one with a queen bed and 1 bath.
And let's talk about a view again. Yes, there it is from the chairs and couch in the living room. Or you can sit out on the second floor deck, watch the sun go down and smell the sweet sea air. Ahhh it’s the life.
Downstairs is where you will find the other two bedrooms. One has a full queen bed, and the other has two twin beds with another sitting area. The lower level also has a laundry room and 3/4 bath.

Great views, upstairs furniture was updated. Sheets had large rips and holes. Blankets were pretty gross. Kitchen utensils were very old and the cookware was non existent and falling apart.
Lovely view out the window and nice selection of games and dvds! With some updates this place could be really nice.

We enjoyed our stay. Took longer to get around because of detours.
6.0 / 10.0
We felt the pictures did not really portray the property. Plus, it did not say there was NO beach access. The house was older, the sheets were thin, and the refrigerator leaked water on the floor the first night there. We will never return to this location.

We had a wonderful time. The property was as described and even better. The furniture has been replaced/upgraded since the online pictures were posted. The host was easy to communicate with. The house was clean and everything was in good order. We would stay here again.

View was beautiful, house was very clean. We had friends staying at another VRBO, & we did all our cooking over there, so cannot speak to the kitchen supplies. I’d stay again.

This home has a terrific layout and great views. Once we got grandma and grandpa upstairs, they were able to enjoy the views, the food and hang out with the family without feeling like they were missing out on the beach!
Unfortunately, the place sleeps 6, but only has seating for 5 in the living room upstairs. The description says there is TV with cable, but we (6 adults) couldn't get the cable to work, so there was no football. We were able to play a few DVDs we brought, but there is NO Blu-ray player, so we were left with only a couple of options. The dining room chairs are upholstered, and a couple were super soiled, which is just gross. We couldn't find additional washcloths (we were given 4) for the 6 of us, so some went without. The downstairs queen bed was pretty solid (hard) so something to be aware of if you have any problems with your back or sleep.
Would suggest replacing the stove/oven. The glass on the interior of the oven door is dirty and broken, missing a knob for the stove, and the front right burner only works on med-high (I suppose the low-medium side IS melted, so that makes sense).
Suggest bringing your own saran wrap, foil, knives, mixing bowls (we found one mixing bowl), dish towels, etc.
Overall, the view was outstanding, and made up for any misgivings in the kitchen, but the TV situation was frustrating. Thankfully, we're a family who also loves staying to play games and do puzzles (you have to bring your own!). Please replace the oven!

Nice views and many birds to see. 5 minute walk to beach and grocer. The house was very clean and rustic essentials were present.

All the other reviews agree with, leaking dishwasher, etc. kitchen utensils and appliances need to be upgraded example blender, hand whisk rusty. Awesome view and privacy.

Property was nice - quiet and secluded. There were a few items that did not work properly [i.e. dishwasher leaks, downstairs TV did not work, faucet in downstairs bathroom comes off and window in master bedroom does not stay up], but overall these were minor. When we arrived the day was hot and the closed house was very hot. The sign on the wall said to turn off the air conditioner when leaving, but we could not find one to turn on. When we called the property manager they said there was no air conditioning and to open the ocean facing windows - none of which on the main floor open. Once the sun went down the house cooled off and air conditioning was never needed. Being from the east coast we are accustomed to crowded beaches, so the seclusion was nice. View from second floor was spectacular.

Haven Hideaway was the perfect "home base" for our daily excursions during our ocean beach vacation. The home is located so close to the beach, which is where we wanted to spend our most time. The neighborhood is small and quiet.

We were visiting Copalis for a family reunion, and needed a place to stay for my family. The house was perfect for our family, and we enjoyed the view of the ocean. Very comfortable setting.

This house was perfect for our visit to Olympic National Park. We loved that we could walk right to the beach or just listen to the waves from the balcony. Home was clean and comfortable.

We had a great time, and yes, the view, the view the view! The home was clean, stocked with enough needed necessities (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc), and overall is well-maintained, but ready for that end of season carpet cleaning. We appreciated that the downstairs entrance has a place to sit and take off wet, sandy, shoes and hang coats. We always bring our own cookware for the planned meals, utensils, pillows, and other 'just in case they don't have it' items. However, this kitchen does have enough cooking equipment for meal making and serving, and lots of counter space compared to other places we've stayed at.
The upstairs bath is small, and currently doesn't have a temporary holding area for toiletries or a change of clothes. There is one rod with barely enough room for two wet towels. Putting clothes, etc, on the toilet lid or tank is not an option for us at bathtime. It looks like the house was recently painted inside, so perhaps hooks, another rod, or a shelf were there before, and just haven't been put back yet. We'd bring small hanging storage bags next time w/ 's' hook to hang on the shower rod or towel rod.
The path to the bridge across the creek is an easy and quick walk away (less than 10 minutes to hit the beach). Fairly quiet during the week. Access to the beach from Griffiths-Priday State Park is a good change up (needs a Discover Pass), and about 1.5 miles to the beach on the path (really, really quiet there).
We weren't concerned over the lack of a hot tub, outdoor fire pit w/ sitting area, or a grill -- as we never use them. Wifi worked w/o glitches, good cell service, and basic cable, upstairs and down. We watched the NASA spacecraft smash into the asteroid on a laptop without a wifi hitch. Awesome.
The view, the view, the view -- exactly why we like this place, that, and the easy access to a September quiet beach. This is the perfect place to unplug from the daily grind.

Stayed three nights with 4 adults and a three year old. Overall it was very quiet and relaxing. Very quiet neighborhood. Functional kitchen with everything we needed for meals. Good washer and dryer. Everything was pretty clean. Very nice deck for sitting out and having a drink and watching the sunset. No direct beach access, but there is a trail that takes you to a bridge that is less than a ten minute walk.
Sound insulation between top and bottom floors was not great. Wouldn't recommend bottom floor bedrooms for light sleepers. Downstairs bathroom could have used a privacy fan as well. A small hose outside to wash off sand would be helpful.
Overall, we had an enjoyable trip and would stay again.

Haven Hideaway was clean, comfy, and with an absolute gorgeous view! During our stay we even saw pelicans when walking the beach!
The kitchen was well stocked and Penny was always quick to respond to any questions we had.
Overall, a great ocean getaway!

Came up for a getaway with family that was in town. They had never seen the PNW and this was a perfect property to show them what there is to offer up here. The house was nice and had nice views. The location was perfect with plenty
Of options for outdoor activities and food.

Quiet, clean house in Copalis Beach
Nice, good sized house in quiet location. Could use curtains on the windows, especially for long summer daylight hours. Easy check-in and check-out, though I never found the referenced check-out list and manager didn’t respond to email inquiry.

Nice view and great for big families
It was a prefect fit for us grandparents and our daughter with her family (grandkids).

No beach access
Grossly inaccurate description for accessing the beach. The views are excellent. However, there is NO access to “Wade across” what is indeed a deep creek. You need to walk at least 1/2 mile to access the beach. Driving is easier with small children. No grill. Missing knobs on stove. Very dirty kitchen

Nice older home.....but
The home is located in an older (quiet) neighborhood. The pictures of the furniture on the first page are no longer in the upstairs living area. On the third morning we were there, someone showered upstairs and someone downstairs flushed the toilet.....black water backed up into the downstairs shower and large plastic sink. We called By the Sea Rentals and they sent someone out quickly....however, we had to clean the gross black stuff still in the shower and plastic sink. You can see the beach from the balcony.....but it is NOT a direct walk to the beach. It may be a difficult walk for younger children or those with mobility issues. When we arrived for a 5 day stay, we noted that there was a small bathroom size garbage can for the kitchen with one small trash bag. On our second day, we checked for another bag everywhere, but finally went to the store to buy our own trash bags. We also discovered that there were only partial rolls of toilet paper in each of the bathrooms when we arrived(we contacted By the Sea rentals to see if they would bring more - no one came). Searched everywhere and did not find any additional rolls, so back to the store and purchased our own. The rules posted throughout the house made us feel unwelcome. Have never read such detailed instructions/rules and we have been using VRBO rental properties for 12 years. The second bathroom is downstairs and very crowded with the small lavatory area, shower and toilet along with the washer, dryer, water heater and deep plastic sink. There were only seven towels in the house for bathing. So we had to wash those ourselves as needed - they had provided three laundry pods.
Finally, the outdoor balcony has two chairs and a small table and is too small to move any others outside.

Great location and view!
We stayed here in mid April for razor clam dig. The house is conveniently situated between Mocrocks and Copalis beaches and Seabrook. Enjoyed walks on the beach and beautiful sunsets! Would be nice to have a grill available.

Nice quiet place with nice view and privacy
About as secluded as any rental I´ve found on the coast yet. Short walk through some trails to get to the beach, and nothing between the house and the beach other than shrubs and a creek. Nice arrangement in the house to spread out.

Fabulous location for nature lovers
Great location, fabulous view, love the native shrub pathway and privacy screen. Easy access to the beach. Nice furnishings pleasing artwork, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed, fun music options, good selection of bird ID books. What is lacking is a deep clean. Dishwasher mold, grimy oven, some dirty dishes, plugged shower head, carpet needs cleaning. In spite of these, we had a great time.

The property was everything we needed with spectacular views of the ocean and easy access to long beach walks, which was just what we were looking for. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We would return again in a heartbeat

Quiet and Relaxing
We had a wonderful, quiet, relaxing stay. The views were beautiful and we loved seeing nothing but beach from the deck. We did find that there was no way to walk across the creek as promised in the listing, but it was a short walk to the bridge and beach. We loved how quiet the beach was and my kids had a blast. It was a short drive to Ocean Shores for afternoon fun and restaurants. The kitchen was well-stocked and the house was clean and comfortable. Thanks for a great getaway.

A sanctuary by the beach!
This property is lovely--clean, spacious, cozy. There is a short walk to a gorgeous beach that was pretty secluded at the time (mid-August). The cool Pacific Ocean air was refreshing and invigorating. The best part of this property for us was the second flood balcony. Our family stayed stepped out onto the balcony both nights of our stay to witness the most spectacular display of the stars with the clear Copalis Beach night sky. It was amazing! Beds were comfy and the living area was cozy and conducive to some family games. This was one of the best times of our lives!

Nice getaway
We enjoyed our stay, the house was well stocked, beds comfortable, house was clean and nice walk to the beach. The only draw back was there was no BBQ grill and the town is a bit rundown and not much that is walking distance beside the little grocery store which is very well stocked. If you don't mind driving to Ocean Shores for restaurant choices, then this could be a great place to stay.

Bare minimum
The place has a great view, but that's about it and doesn't make up for the rest. Appliances from the 70ties, absolutely nothing extra. Tiny deck, no BBQ, no fireplace, no yard. Not great for kids. Neighborhood is a sad place.

Quiet beach view stay
The house was well stocked and clean!! Comfy beds and nice new furniture in living room. The second bath was in the laundry room, so a bit of a squeeze in there. The beach was a bit more of a walk than I had anticipated (took my 85 year old parents), but we had a lovely time once we got there. Practically had the entire beach to ourselves. Very private and quiet stay! Would go back.
