Millers Court is a charming example of what used to be common in DC - carriage houses set back from the street. Most of these were torn down decades ago. This one dates to the 1880s.
Directly off of East Capitol Street. Less than a block to two corner stores, pharmacy, great diner, dry cleaners.
Blazing fast 1 gig WIFI (and hardwired ethernet). This is the fastest residential service available in DC. By comparison an HD group Zoom call requires 3 mpbs so this is several hundred times faster. There is an exterior security camera. It does not monitor indoors.
Gorgeous private fenced backyard patio.
This carriage house has it's original steep narrow steps. If you have trouble with steep narrow steps this may not be the property for you.
This is a Capitol Hill Stay property. Capitol Hill Stay is a veteran-owned small business with 24 properties on Capitol Hill. We have been providing furnished lodging on Capitol Hill since 1996. We use excellent cleaners and pay them a living wage (they are best in DC if you ask me). And we have a professional full time property manager. If this property doesn't work for you or isn't available for the dates you need please reach out to us and let us know and we can see if we can find a property that does work for you. You can also swap from one of our properties to another as available if needed. Additionally you can see all of our Airbnb listings at our Airbnb host profile page.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ABOUT PRICING. We have been a primarily longer term housing provider for 25 years but pricing on Airbnb is very hard to communicate and set, as it's impossible to know the dates and circumstances of every possible guest's needs in advance when we set pricing. Pricing may vary significantly depending on length of stay, specific dates, etc. For longer term stays there may be discounts possible.
PLEASE SEND AN INQUIRY PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST.
Complete access and privacy. NOT a shared space.
Available as needed.
Capitol Hill is an outstanding neighborhood. It's historic, charming, and ideally located at the absolute geographic center of DC. Terrific safety, with the US Capitol police patrolling the area. Home to many politicians, media figures, etc.
Corner groceries, pharmacy, great diner and dry cleaners a two minute walk away.
Eastern Market (farmers market and baker/butcher etc) is a few blocks away. Amazing restaurants and lively bars within blocks!
Whole Foods and several other supermarkets in the neighborhood.
Five blocks to metro orange/blue and red lines. Union Station train station is five blocks. Union Station is home to the major sightseeing tours. Capital Bikeshare kiosk is a couple minutes walk.
Uber and Lyft and cheap and very easy to get here.
DC Circulator metro rapid bus transit also very close by.
Inquire about parking PRIOR to booking please. There is very little need to bring a vehicle, as there is great metro and bikeshare access, and rideshares are inexpensive and readily available. Most places you want to go to in DC won't have parking when you get there. 24/7 street parking near this property is possible with a street parking pass, which can be obtained from the DC DMV with a copy of a lease and vehicle information. It costs around $250 for a six month pass. Free street parking with no pass needed is free and open to all every night, all weekend, and two hours each weekday. We have about five offstreet parking spaces in the immediate area. We rent them from neighbors. IF a paid space is available they usually go for $300 a month. Union Station parking garage is five blocks away and can do monthly rentals including oversize vehicles for around $300 a month.
A word about rates:
Since every booking is different the rates listed are an approximation. Rates are based on length of stay, specific dates needed, amenities requested, etc. Bookings less than 91 days are subject to the DC lodging tax of 15.95%. SINCE EVERY INQUIRY IS DIFFERENT AND THE BIGGEST FACTOR IN PRICE IS THE SPECIFIC DATES CHOSEN AND LENGTH OF STAY RATES MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN WHAT IS POSTED. PLEASE INQUIRE SO WE CAN DISCUSS PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST.
Fall and winter months are very high demand, moreso this year than ever before as this is the first year that many federal agencies and private employers are bringing people back to DC, and they are making up for lost productivity during Covid.
And of course it's a presidential election year.
Most furnished housing providers in DC will only take bookings for three months or longer during these months. We will do less, but the rates do go up. And generally we try to match an incoming booking with an apartment that is available within a week or so of the requested date. For instance if you are seeking a month rental beginning July 1 we would want to match your request with a property available in very late June or July 1. If the property you inquired about seems to have an availability date that may not match up then you can always check HERE see all properties and their available dates.
Our average booking is around four to six months. We are primarily a longer term lodging provider. We can do shorter, but in the furnished housing business rates go up for shorter stays.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.

Cute, Mid-Town close to everything...
...close to the subways, train, taxis and walking distance from everything: everything was in great condition, appliances, furniture, etc.... and it's close to a corner market, good eats, and sites. Would definitely stay again!

Great place to explore D.C.
This tiny home was everything that it advertised. Clean and modern. The air conditioner worked great despite the hot humid weather. I traveled with two sons and we had plenty of room to hang out and sleep comfortably. You can't find a better location to explore DC. It is a stones throw from the Captiol and the Capitol Hill neighborhood is beautiful. Only downside is the steep cleaning fee, but as described in the owners manual, it sounds like that is par for the course. Beats a hotel room hands down. HIGHLY recommended!!!!

Great location! Lovely home
You can not beat location. And it's a little house with a backyard in a quiet alley. AC works very well, cable/wifi included. Couple blocks from Capital Hill and restaurants. Very friendly owner. Thank you for letting us stay in your house!

Terrific location!
Two blocks from Supreme Court, the Capitol, and Library of Congress. Lovely, quite neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and markets within walking distance. Brian the manager responded very quickly, within an hour or less, to our questions, etc. He was very informative and helpful. Our family of four stayed here, daughters ages 9 and 11. Although it was a small space for four people, the house had everything we needed for making breakfast and crashing at night. The quiet back patio was perfect for enjoying the warm spring evenings and beautiful weather in April. Reason for 4 stars--not the most restful nights' sleep in terms of mattresses. The pull out couch mattress seemed old and was quite uncomfortable (felt the springs). The bed upstairs squeaked every time my husband or I rolled over or got out of bed, thus waking each other up frequently. Overall, though, we had a great time and recommend this rental.

Lovely place, amazing location. Walk to subway, restaurants, museums. Heart of Cap Hill, stone's throw from Folger Shakespeare Library, Library of Congress, and the rest. Perfect service if anything ever needed.

Cozy Charming Perfect Location Hassle Free
This is what VRBO is supposed to be like. Absolutely hassle free.
This little house was charming. It's right off of East Capitol, about four minutes walk from the Capitol. Five or six minutes to Union Station metro. Very wealthy and safe area.
It's right what it says - a charming tiny house. Gets a lot of light. Great private backyard patio. The plaque on the front says it was built in the 1880s, along with the two next to it. Very clean, very tidy. Electronic lock on the door made our late checkin hassle-free.
We would stay here again.
