A very easy and comfortable place to stay.
Very reasonably close to the sites. We rode scooters/bikes as well, making it very quick to get around.
But we were pleased to find that it is also close to a couple of really great neighborhoods with coffee shops and restaurants.
Would absolutely stay here again.

Overall a very nice stay in this property. Very convient to union station and all of the sites in DC. Also close to multiple grocery stores and nice neighborhood restaurants and coffee shops. My family would stay there again.

This flat was well comfortable and clean. Each bedroom had a huge TV, and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable, and the linens were excellent! The host was quick with communication and answered all of our questions promptly. The water pressure was a little slow and the upstairs guest/owner had loud dogs that barked and ran back and forth. We had no trouble with parking and enjoyed our stay!

This apartment offers great privacy and is in a quiet neighborhood, yet walking distance to wonderful restaurants and the metro. I will definitely stay here again when I travel to Washington DC. It is a GEM!

Nice basement apartment in great area. A bit far from sites for walking. We used Lyfts so we did investigate the Metro. Nice restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Water pressure was an issue in one shower and at the fridge water dispenser.

Great location! We walked everywhere or hopped on the circulator bus.
It would be nice to have fully stocked kitchen but everything worked out fine.
The water pressure in the master bath is very light. That would be the only thing we would fix.

We loved this neighborhood. We had close access to Union Station, Circulator bus and the H street bus. We are 4 retirees who enjoyed a week in DC. The only down side was there was no toaster, oven or cooktop; although we managed just fine. The host communicated regularly and quickly when we had questions. Minor repairs should be done but overall a 5 star stay!

A perfect location for me, my husband, and our teenage son. Close to union station so very easy to get around town on the Metro from here, and a charming little neighborhood of brownstones. It was great!

My family of 4 recently stayed at this property for Fall Break. While the location was a few blocks North of Stanton Park from where the VRBO pin indicated, it was still an ideal spot to set out exploring Capitol Hill and the rest of DC. The proximity to Union Station and the Metro was so convenient. There are quite a few neighborhood markets and coffee shops to pick up supplies. The apartment itself easily accommodated us, allowing everyone to have their space to rest and relax - important after full days of walking and sight seeing. Check in could not have been easier and the host communicated with us throughout the stay. I would definitely recommend for families visiting the Capitol!

This was perfect for our family of 5 (boys 10, 13, & 15 yrs old) We stayed Sun. to Fri. We ate breakfast & evening snacks at the rental and found amazing little neighborhood restaurants within blocks of the place. Nostra Cucina was our favorite Italian restaurant. Union station is a short walk away and has 24hr in and out parking garage for $25 a day which worked great for us to park & be able to take our car to Arlington National cemetery and Mt Vernon. We walked most places and easily got a Lyft XL for our 5 for $15 to $20 anytime of day. So much better to come back after a day of walking and sight seeing to a place we could spread out and relax. The neighborhood was safe with people walking all day and we walked back at night after dinner with no worries. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were nice! Highly recommend for family or 2 couples stay.

This was only our second VRBO stay and it was incredible. We had nearby access to grocery store (two blocks), restaurants and just an overall incredible experience. David was there with us all virtually being accessible via email it seemed like 24 hours a day!!! Whenever we had questions he always replied almost instantly. I would highly recommend this VRBO rental and David!! It provided us probably one of our best vacations we have had!! Thank you David!!

The proximity to Union Station proved to make our transportation needs easy. We had full days of sightseeing planned and we ate an easy breakfast in the unit and returned after dinner. There is no range but grills and a microwave. Cooking dinner would require working with the facilities available but we didn't plan to cook anyway. Comfortable unit and we enjoyed our stay.

David was very responsive to our questions on parking and accommodation. Perfect location that we could walk to everything. We were there for National police Surviors week, which is hectic enough but David provided a perfect place we could all relax between events. Place was clean and had enough room everyone able to find a spot to unwind. Everything from restaurants to metro were close. Definite place to return for a another stay. Thank you

Overall, we had a great stay. The one hang up for us was that we like to cook meals to make travel healthier and more affordable. I didn’t realize from the photos or description that this property doesn’t have an oven or stove. My fault, because they aren’t listed in amenities, I just never thought to check that a kitchen would have those things. Everything else was great- close to Capitol Hill and the Metro, safe neighborhood, near a grocery store and restaurants, very clean, and nice furnishings. The owner was very quick to respond to messages and we had no problems with the super easy check in and check out. If a microwave works for your needs, book this apartment!

Beautiful decorated and updated English basement unit close to the Capitol, Union Station, grocery stores, restaurants, everything. Quiet neighborhood. Lots of light in the unit as well.
With two bedrooms and bathrooms there was plenty of room for our family. TV in the living area and in both bedrooms. Linens and towels are provided. We had a great stay, thank you so much!

Nice location within walking distance to grocery (Whole Foods) and restaurants. Clean with great amenities. After long days of walking it was nice to come back to games and our daughter enjoyed the big tvs in every room. Quiet neighborhood overall.

This property was very clean and is in a great location in the Washington DC area! We stayed here with 2 adults and 3 children (ages 11, 9, and 5). The property had everything we needed for an excellent stay! The beds were super comfy and it was quiet so we slept great. We took short Ubers to all the local attractions. What an amazing stay we had! Thank you!

We had a wonderful time on our trip celebrating our son earning his masters degree. We found some wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Between walking and Uber we were able to get to everything we wanted to see. Union Station was a short walk away, too. This was a great place to rent. Comfortable beds, 2 great bathrooms, and a wonderful neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location and space
We stayed here for a weekend in DC with our teenagers, and we all had a great time. This basement apartment is clean, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The mattresses were especially comfortable! It was also an easy walk to the Capitol and Mall -- we easily found parking on the street by the apartment when we arrived Friday evening and didn't move the car until we left on Sunday. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance as well. I'd highly recommend staying here -- we hope to come back.

This was a very comfortable place to stay for a weekend in DC with friends. The place was clean and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The apartment is well-located near lots of bars and restaurants along H Street. Will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to DC

Perfect family location for a DC trip!
Better than we expected! A bed for everyone in our family of 4. Tucked away in a wonderful family oriented location. We’ve been to the DC area several times for work and fun and absolutely wish we’d found this before. This trip we visited because we are fans of the visiting NFL team, it was an easy 20 min drive to the stadium. The location was very convenient to many downtown historical sites and dining. Each time we ate dinner we took an UBER to dining locations near the Capital and the distance was perfect for a 20-25 min walk back to the unit which was perfect to burn those desert/beer calories off. As the listing said there isn’t dedicated parking but that was not an issue at all, found parking within a block of the unit every time we moved our vehicle. UBER does pick up right at the unit (I’ve visited others where we had to walk a block or two for pickup). For breakfast there were so many different locations just a block or two away that were perfect to get coffee and bfast items for our family. We didn’t want to cook during this trip, but if we had there were several grocery stores only a couple blocks away as well.
Owner was fantastic before, during and after our stay. Couldn’t be happier with this location and will definitely go back! Highly recommend for a historical, sports, traveling to visit family, or any other type getaway.
