Location, Location, Location! Puerta del Sol is located on the Mexican Riviera in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We are a 5 minute drive to the airport and right across the street to the Beautiful Marina where you can see the spectacular cruises. Walking distance to casino, restaurants, grocery stores, and the shopping mall 'Galerias'. Puerta del Sol is an upscale private gated community with its own security.
We are centrally located and just a short 15-20 minute drive to the famous downtown Malecon (boardwalk) across town by the ocean where you can find restaurants, bars, and plenty of activities. Taxi and bus services are available right in front of the main street.
Enjoy this house equipped with Free WIFI when sitting on both the lower terrace or on the second floor terrace with a built-in barbecue grill while enjoying the views of sunset and cruises. You may also spend a relaxing time by the community pool while enjoying the wonderful views of the community. We really enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect, communication excellent. There are a few small things that need repair but these did not effect our stay!
Would definitely stay again.
Our group was 9 people and we fit comfortably. I don’t see anymore than 9 people fitting in the property unless you double up on all the beds.

This property is in a great location to stay in Puerto Vallarta. It is easy to catch a bus and be in the Romantic zone in minute. Plus it is close to the marina. The house is large and the neighborhood is great. However the house is in disrepair. There are broken tiles, a hole in the floor, the air conditioners leak water, and all the.linnen needs to be replaced.

This place has potential to be amazing- if a few things are remedied. Perfect for 3-4 couples or a family . Large, modern, nice kitchen!
Communications excellent.
But just wasn’t completely ready for us.
No drinking water, no gas for the stove or hot water. The dishwasher, very smelly …until we finally ran it with hot water. no dish cloths or tea towels and floor needed a wash.
the lovely manager brought us water the next day refilled our gas - plus a kettle & few other things we needed right away!
The door key never worked from the outside - so the house was never locked when we left it. But the little complex felt very SAFE, and the security guard at the gate was so sweet.
Needs a welcome book in the house to explain things ( like appliances and how to refill our large water bottle)
“.leave your empty bottle at a neighbours with 40 pesos”….that never worked (10 days)!!! So we bought a new bottle from another company that comes every 2-3 days…refills should be 40 pesos if you are lucky to see him go by.
Before booking, i would ask Hugo the owner if they have replaced the dilapidated furniture on the upper deck,if a deck is important to you. Those chairs were NOT useable. And just ok on lower patio. (No view from patio - fully walled in - nice shade I guess.
We would come back tho-IF the furniture was replaced -but we would bring our own kitchen linen, bathroom soap, cork screw, table cloth for old table on patio. Loved the pool & gardens!

The owners need to invest in new linens for all the beds, and new towels. The linens and towels were very worn and very stained. It was difficult to tell if they were clean. The sofa had two large holes in the seat cushion. The blinds were missing slats in some of the rooms. No privacy there. Outdoor furniture was old and broken and unusable. Kitchen drawers were dirty inside. No can opener.
We did like the spacious space to spread out.
This could be nice with a minimal investment from the owner. Would not stay there again until fixed up.

We enjoyed the house! The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The property manager, Abril, was very friendly and helpful.

Overall stay was good, but house needs some TLC
Overall the stay was good. There are a few things around the house that require repair (i.e. ac unit leaks all over the floor, some door knobs do not work including bathroom etc).

Wonderful location
We spent 2 weeks in the best place in the world. Close to the marina. Did lots of shopping. Spent lots of time at the pool and beach. Way better than a hotel. The people who live in the neighborhood are super friendly. I would go back in a heartbeat.

April was FANTASTIC
On the plus side; the manager April went to extreme lengths to ensure we were happy. Night time phone calls morning calls, didn't matter. She was on top of any issue. On the negative side; the hot water was a problem in the upstairs showers. The towels were found the 2nd day still in the dryer. A couple bugs in the kitchen, and most remote controls did not work. Had to share the working remotes.

The property was fine however,we were out of running water for 2 days!
My communications with property management was very poor.
Our neighbours had running water but we didn't. At asked at the pool office if Mrs. Zepeda lived in the complex and was told that she did not. Because of the lack of communication, we were also without the use of the oven in the unit for 10 days.

We loved the house perfect for big groups, super clean and great private location, makes you feel secure. Also close to the main attractions in PV.
The communication with Hugo and Griselda was always cordial and on time.
I will definitely book with them for my next trip.

Nice Vacay.
It was a very nice home. This is the second time we use the same property. The hot tub still doesn't work but overall great location, within a safe community and comfortable.

Great stay
We loved Hugo's place and the location was perfect for our family if 10. So easy to get groceries, bus, taxi or go to the ocean. There was everything we needed to cook and enjoy our stay. The down fall was the inability for all of us to use the pool area together as we were only allowed 4 people in at a time not just in the pool but the area which was guarded with a very ignorant guard who treated us like we were criminals. We contacted Hugo to find out the situation. Apparently the rules had changed and in order for all of us to use we needed to pay a fee 500 pesos, this would have been good to know before hand or if the guard could have communicated this. The rest of the guards and staff were really good, just this one lady guard and the ideas of utilizing the pool freely dampened our stay. We would return but with a better understanding of how it works so less frustrations.

Great house; great location!
This was our second time staying at this house. It really suited our needs. The owner is always very quick to respond if there is an issue. Walking distance to Walmart, Sam's Club, Soriano, cruise terminal and the beach. Easy bus ride to the Marina and to Old Town.

Winter Stay in Puerto Vallarta
We enjoyed our stay at Hugo's residence. It was spacious, close to Wal-Mart, the beach, shopping and a cute little bar at the corner. It was nice for all of our family (wide range of ages) and easy to find from the airport. Hugo was very responsive and kind in each of our communications and flexible when we had to change dates. We loved the home-atmosphere and the ability to have our kids come and go. It was fantastic to have the washer and dryer available as well as a full kitchen to cook. Our only suggestion was to have additional towels in the bathroom (we ran out and washed frequently as there were not enough for each person). Just a suggestion for anyone staying would to have on your initial email to remind others to be prepared to buy dish soap, paper towels, extra toilet paper and garbage sacks. We arrived late and with so many of us needed these items right away. Those staying in a home for the first time might not know those would have limited quantities at the house. The areas is very safe, and the security is amazing and very kind. The pool security was strict and we did not have an easy time entering as she stood next to our chairs the entire time we were in pool, which made us feel a bit awkward. We ended up just spending time at the beach which is very close. The pool attnendant also told us there was not wi-fi for use. We did find out how to use it at a later time from the office manager. Otherwise, it was a very amazing stay and hope to stay again. It is perfect for families, large groups of friends or families with young kids! We loved it!

The house is located very close to the beach. It also has several shopping options in walking distance. The house itself was big and had plenty of space for all 15 of us. It had all the amenities needed. Plenty of towels, a fridge, dishwasher, dishes, and washer and dryer.Mrs Graciela was awesome very wonderful lady. We had a great experience and felt very comfortable.

Beautiful home in a beautiful city
We stayed in Puerto Vallarta for 4 days and 3 nights. We met with family at the home and arrived at different times. The management was very flexible with our arrival time as my sister in law arrived really early in the morning before anybody else. The home had plenty of space for everybody and was right next to a Walmart which was really convenient since we did not have a car. There were board games for the kids, but they spent most of the time at the pool when we were at the house.
The owner was really helpful if we had any questions or concerns. He responded via email really fast which was great. It felt like he really cared about my family having a great experience with the house and the city. He left us some suggestions about things to do nearby which was really helpful because we have never been there before and didn't really know where to go besides the beaches.
Overall we had a great experience both with the property and the communication and flexibility with the owners and the manager on site.

Great property to stay at! Great amenities and very safe location. Wi-fi in the pool area was a plus for the teenagers in our group. Mrs. Graciela was so helpful and walked us through the house! We had everything we needed and the house was very clean. I would def stay here again. Short drive away to the Malecon and most grocery stores are within walking distance.

An enjoyable place
My family and I really enjoyed the place. It's clean, comfortable and near 2 large grocery stores and the beach. Our only concern was the Internet connexion. We would have preferred having a router inside the house rather than having to walk to the pool every time. Also, the connexion was slow by today's standard, short-range and was even down after supper. The spa wasn't functioning (not a problem for us), but instead of repairing it, I suggest to replace it with a small garden.

The location was perfect. The pool area was ok. Too many restrictions from the OHA.

Great Location
We enjoyed our time at Hugo’s home. He was very accommodating for early check in and any problems or questions we had. If you get a chance go to the Market down the street from Sams Club. Great fresh produce, flowers and lots of shops. We enjoyed a lovely Italian meal at San Pietro, across from the main Market.

Beautiful home, perfect for families
We really enjoyed our stay at Hugo's beautiful home. The home was in a safe gated community, near stores and shopping mall. The house was clean and was well equipped with everything we could possibly need. We would rent this house again for our next family vacation, and we would also recommend to our family and friends.

Great Location
The house was exactly as pictured.Great location - close to mall, groceries and bus. Large enough for a larger family. Very quiet and secure. Grounds very well maintained. Enjoyed our one month stay. Will return for sure.

Awesome house!
We stayed at this house for two weeks in January 2017. We couldn't have been happier with it. It met all our needs. It was close to everything and is in a gated community. There is a Sam's Club and a WalMart around the corner and the buses are right in front. We felt very safe. The neighbourhood is very quiet. Our 10-year old grandson had fun in the pool. The beach is a short walk away.
The house itself is very roomy. It was clean and well maintained. Nice bright kitchen with a big island. Master bedroom and ensuite are on the main floor and the three other bedrooms are upstairs, along with a delightful balcony where we played cards at night. Overall, this house and its location made our vacation very memorable. We may try to rent it again next year!
We would definitely recommend this property.
One important note - Mr. Hugo Gomez, the property owner, was wonderful to deal with prior to our arrival. Any questions we had, he responded immediately. Thank you so much, Hugo!

Charming, affordable and plenty of room!
Hugo was amazing from start to finish! The house was perfect and comfortable for our family of 10. Nicely furnished with cool neighbors. We could easily walk to all of the tour destinations or to a bus stop for public transportation. We had the vacation of a lifetime this week, and the ease of renting this property, its location, and size made it all the better! We are already planning our return trip!
