It’s beautiful, love the new wooden pergola. The little garden is lovely, the play area we used daily. The setting is very peaceful. The cottage is very comfortable
The kitchen is looking quite old & tired now.
Might of just been me but couldn’t get the large oven to work.
In the room with twin beds, the mattress nearest the window definitely needs replacing

Animals, location, facilities were all good.
Just needed a clean under the sofa and under cushions

Fabulous little cottage, It was a very peaceful location where you could just chill out. Short stroll to the little village and short stroll to the pub and restaurant. Very pretty area.
There was nothing we disliked.

Our cottage was in a lovely little village, it was quiet and the view from the garden was beautiful. Andy is a very kind host, who did respond to all our questions. We can certainly recommend a stay in Woodpecker Cottage.

Everything. Quiet, clean, equipped, the outside space (including a couple of Alpacas(!)), the price…
Lighter blankets and softer pillows.

The location was lovely and the outdoor furniture was very good
Comfortable beds
The cottage was very dirty
Oven and baking trays were dirty
Oven squealed loudly when in use
Microwave was filthy and full of rust
No handwash
Quite a few things in the description simply weren't there
It's not semi-detached, it's terraced and you can clearly hear your neighbours turning on the water or flushing the toilet
I believe the cottage had definitely not been cleaned after the last guests

Absolutely wonderful country location ,with easy accessibility to surrounding area.Great local pub ,within walking distance Enjoyed lunch and Breakfast at Ashleworth Hub coffee shop ,
perhaps it would be helpful to have a sign on main road to direct you down lane into property .

The cottage is idyllic as the pictures but functional so you have everything you need. It was helped by glorious weather. We were here for a nearby wedding but it was so peaceful here it felt like a break and rest for us too. Plus, our toddler adored the swings as trampoline so much I now want to demand this everywhere we stay. She was so happy, and a happy toddler makes for happy parents
Nothing really.

Contained safe garden for little ones and a children's park.
Well looked after surroundings, neat and tidy grass area, fields, driveway etc .
Stunning view of fields and Alpacas.
Fully equipped kitchen, cosy lounge.
Good layout of cottage.
2 bedrooms, one double with space and one room with two singles.
Thank you so much!

The stay was great and it's a nice little place at a great location. My son (7 year old) really enjoyed the play area with swings and large trampoline. There were 3 alpacas onsite as well which made it feel more like staying closer to nature. The house itself was nice and cosy.
The only minor issue we encountered, was that the Frying Pans (there were 2) were not really usable with scratch/scuff marks but upon raising this with Andy, this was very quickly resolved and he provided us with another one.
Would definitely stay again if we visit that side again.

This was a very central location and the accommodation was very well equipped and comfortable. It was walkable into Gloucester with a bus service back from the war memorial at the end of the lane. One pub at the end of the lane (not open Sun - Weds lunchtime when we were there) served good food. The heating was extremely effective and the underfloor in the bathroom was very welcome.
I think it had been a while since anyone else had rented the cottage as the cutlery and utensils/saucepans needed a good wash before we could use them (no dishwasher). The arrangement of having a glass door between the double bedroom and bathroom was not very practical if you had 2 couples sharing - it really is more for families. The parking space is very tight for turning round. We have a Kadjar and really a smaller car would have been better for the turning space. A sign on the main road would have helped in locating the lane. Bits are showing signs of wear and tear and the accommodation could do with a bit of freshen up. The oven instructions were missing and the bulb in the overhead light in the twin room didn't work (we didn't use this room so it didn't really matter to us)

A beautiful cottage, in an equally beautiful location. Excellent value for money. Clean comfortable and well equipped. Great shower and bath. Comfortable beds and sofa. As an introvert I like that everything was self check in/out and felt we had our privacy.

Attractive well-furnished cottage. Lovely location. Easy entry procedure.
The main room was a bit difficult to heat and the beds not super comfortable.

The Christmas decorations were a nice touch. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped.
There could have been a bit more info about the area and some local tips for guests to use when exploring.

Cosy but spacious, well equipped cottage in a quiet, rural location. Great local pub. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was a real treat! Lovely big sofa!
Difficult to find as not signposted from the road. Coming out of Hartpury on Broad Street going towards Ashleworth, it is the track on the right just before the national speed limit sign.

Ideal location for touring the area. Pleasant property in a quiet rural locality, but not cut off as a main road is nearby. The llamas were a pleasant surprise.
The property would benefit from having a local information directory, containing doctors and the like. At least we couldn't find one.

Location was perfect - we were attending a wedding at Eastnor Castle, which is 11 miles / 20 mins away. The property is well set for a family too but may not work for 2 couples due to the Jack & Jill bathroom off of the main bedroom; wasn’t a problem for us with 2 younger children.
The property is surrounded by animals and a small play park that definitely kept the kids entertained during the mornings. We had a great time.
Nothing really. It is an old style property (although kept up to date) so there were a few cobwebs but I’m being really picky. The main TV in the lounge needs repairing or replacing as it had a couple of verticals lines running down the centre of the picture. But that’s all, it was great overall.

Excellent cottage with all the facilities you need, great home comforts. Very peaceful location. Will definitely be back
Every time we cooked, even tho we had the doors and windows open the smoke/heat alarm went off

A really cosy location with a children’s play park opposite and alpacas for our daughter to fawn over every day. easily accessible and really comfortable and an exceptional standard for the cottage. In a lovely village with a short commute into Gloucester. We would definitely stay here again. like a home away from home.
Everything was great.
