A secluded cottage on a beautiful, serene acre (plus) waterfront lot

The property is 1 1/4 acres in a secluded quiet area with no visible neighbors. It is a place to connect with nature and enjoy true peace and serenity. You can fall asleep at night listening to the sound of the running water and wake up to the sounds of nature. Read a book on the deck or take afternoon naps in the hammock. Fish from the back yard. The creek has native trout and is stocked. Watch the fish jump out of the water from the back deck. See the deer crossing the creek and a blue heron searching for fish on the rocks. The deck has a picnic table and a grill for outdoor eating. There is a patio with adirondeck chairs and a fire pit to sit around at night and watch the stars. There is a kayak for you to use in the creek to relax or fish and river tubes to float. You can use the beach chair if you want to just sit and cool off with the water running over you.

This house is bright and cheerful with lots of light. Art fills the walls giving it soul and colorfulness. It is a magical place filled with inspiring pieces from my travels.

OUTSIDE THE PROPERTY...

There is a path across the creek to walk along and a small lake on the top of the hill.

THIS HOUSE FEATURES...

One guest bedroom, 1 large bathroom, eat in kitchen, living room with a wood burning fireplace and high cathedral ceilings, a sun room with comfortable furniture and a laundry area. The whole back of the house has windows that look out onto the creek. There is Wifi, television, DVD and a stereo CD player. There is a portable floor air conditioner in the kitchen and living room area and ceiling and floor fans in each room. Most of the time it is cool enough that it is not needed. I love to keep the windows open to hear the sounds of nature and the running water. The guest bedroom has a full size mattress, desk and dresser. The sun room has comfortable modular furniture that you can sink into. It can be rearranged to comfortably sleep 2 persons... This room overlooks the creek with 2 large windows and a sky light. There is a folding standing divider if you want privacy.

Dogs are welcome, however, they are not allowed on the furniture. Luna, the neighborhood dog most likely will visit you during your stay. She is super- friendly and most of my guests and their dogs love her and her visits. (see reviews)

Kelly, I & Rocky (lhasa apsa) thoroughly enjoyed this relaxing 2 night get away. The outdoor fire with the brook beside us was wonderful. The last evening we were by the fire around 6pm and all of flew over head! Stunning.a sudden an Eagle

The cabin was charming and the view outstanding. Sitting on the deck watching the water flow was very peaceful and relaxing. We throughly enjoyed the interior decorations which reflected a very interesting life and personality of the owner. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. We had a very enjoyable time and will cherish many fond memories.

The property was manicured beautifully. Everything was there that we were told would be there. We are in our 70’s and being one level was perfect for us and our 10 year old dog Hoover. There were a few glitches that were quickly resolved thru communication with the Whost and her maintenance people..

Great location. Loved the proximity to the creek. 10/12 minutes from Bushkill Falls and many other attractions. 20/25 minutes from East Stroudsburg. Stayed with my daughter to get away for a couple days. Communication was smooth after figuring out the paperwork emails (I didn’t realize they were for our stay at first, so I thought it was spam.). The owner is very nice and gracious, and this appears to be her private home. We did see lots of birds, deer, fish jumping, a hawk and such. The setting is very relaxing. The main living area is open and bright with large windows. Tons of kitchen and every day supplies available, so no need to bring your own (appliances, dishes, utensils, etc). Lots of interesting artwork and even pictures. If you arrive on a very hot day, it will take the standing AC a good 1/2 day to catch up and then it gets down around 73 overnight and 78 during the day (It felt fine once caught up, no issues). If the weather is nice, definitely open all of the windows and screen doors to let in the breeze and the sounds of birds and flowing water. We enjoyed floating on the tubes in the creek in front of the house to escape the heat. The water was too low right now for paddle boarding but the creek has 2 natural pools to cool off and swim in and enjoy. Great fishing spot as well! Really nice fireplace and fire pit but it was too warm to get them going. Expect a cabin in the woods by the water that was turned into a personal home feel.

My family likes to adventure and we always try and go somewhere different and we had never been in this particular area and when we found this little cabin we knew we had to book it. We loved listening to the creek burbling all night long! And our visits from Luna the neighborhood greeting committee. This little cabin fit our family of 4 perfectly and felt like home away from home.

Really enjoyed our stay at Yellow Magnolia. The river view is breathtaking, and the Zen decorations and vibe are soul healing. Barbara has done a wonderful job of making the place feel like home. The place is intimate and has just about everything you'd need. The location is perfect, as you're very much secluded and within a natural setting but can be eating at a nice restaurant within 15 minutes. It's a charming cottage and very organic--the perfect place for personal contemplation and relaxation.

This cottage is well-situated on the Saw Creek-- it's private, pretty and quiet, with a view of what must be one of the most picturesque bends in the creek. So nice to connect with nature here. The cottage was comfortable, homey and well-appointed. Sliders and large windows looked out over the water, so even when we were inside, we felt like we were outdoors. Very restful!

Woman-centric, positive energy, immersed in nature. We chose to sleep in the den area so we could go to sleep with the sound of of the creek footsteps away and wake up to the beautiful view of the creek.

I booked the "Yellow Magnolia" as a surprise for my Wifes 40th birthday. I read the reviews and looked through the photos and new it would be the right place for us. Upon arrival, my wife and i were blown away by the setting. The photos are great but to see it in person is an amazing experience. The outside portion of the property is close to perfection. The veiws are beautiful and the sound of the creek is intoxicating. You cant help but get lost in the atmosphere. The inside of the house, is beautiful, tons of natural light and very inviting. The furniture was clean and very comfortable. There wasnt any part of the house that wasnt inviting. Bathroom was clean and the heated toilet (complete with bidet) is something we cant live without now hahaha. The bed was clean and comfortable. The sun room has a nice radio, books and a smart TV. All worked perfectly. The internet was easy to connect to and kept up with all our online needs. Theres plenty of shops and restaurants around. We didnt need to drive more than 10mins for anything. Overall, this property met and exceeded our expectations. We will most definitely be returning in the future. The only downside we found was we couldn't stay longer. Highly recommended.

Everything was as "advertised". Home is lovely, comfortable and well stocked with the basics for cooking, sleeping, showers etc. The sound of the creek is amazing and its nice and remote. The ground is very wet down by the firepit but we put our chairs on top of a tarp and it all worked out. There is some paperwork involved that was a pain but no big deal and Barbara is helpful as well. Loved our stay

My husband and I just returned from a little vacation at this home. I read all the reviews stating how nice it was and can truly say they were all accurate. The home is small and cozy, has a fabulous view, secluded location in the water, just perfect for us. We are already discussing a return visit.

Beautiful property & cottage which has a lot of fabulous artwork. The downside is the bed was a full (which we were aware of), so my husband slept in the sunroom. The toilet was heated and I loved it. However, there was a shelf right at knee level which made sitting on toilet a little awkward for my husband. I imagine any man would have the same issue.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely home on a creek. The moment you arrive your feel calm. The area is quiet and the scene is spectacular. We went on several hikes in the area but spent our afternoon on the deck viewing the creek and listening to the sound of the creek. We plan on visiting again.

We enjoyed our week at Yellow Magnolia. Sitting on the deck listening to the creek was very relaxing. One day we saw an eagle fly down the creek. Luna came to visit almost every day. She is a very sweet and loving dog. Barbara provided us with all the details needed and she answered any questions promptly.

Two adults and two dogs enjoyed our stay at beautifully decorated house and property. The dogs and I loved wading in the creek behind the house. We didn’t use the fire pit because the surrounding area was muddy. Our stay coincided with a heat wave - happy to report that the AC works fine!

Beautiful setting; clean, comfortable home with all the amenities you could ask for in a rental. Plenty of wildlife to watch, deer, fox eaglets, etc. And, a welcoming neighbor dog named Luna, who my puppy thought was the absolute best thing ever. Very sweet dog! Also, Barbara was so easy to reach for any question you might have about the area.

We enjoyed staying in your home.We did spend a lot of time outdoors and had a chance to spend some time with Luna each day. We were disappointed a little because the music and cd player didn't work. There weren't any dish towels and cloths around. The coffee pot was terrible. The grill ran out during dinner. The cleaners weren't very clean. There where some lights out throughout the house ect.. I'm not trying to be mean. I just want you to be aware of these things! Otherwise, your home is beautiful and I enjoyed the art work and all your wonderful things!
