About this cabin rental
The little Red Cabin is waiting for your arrival! Close to Belfast, on the way to Acadia with amazing views and privacy!
Cross over the RR tracks and you will find yourself at the Oceans edge. Sit on your deck, listen to the sound of nature, watch the tidal waters change, smell the ocean air...
The loft bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed. Extra blankets and pillows are on the bench in the loft (accessed via spiral stairs). A remote operates the loft lighting.
Wake and enjoy your coffee or tea as you soak in your view of the cove. Often you will see clammers (when the tide is out), herons, loons, ducks... and occasionally, a moose, fox or a neighborhood groundhog. For bird watchers, this year a Hepatic Tanager has been spotted by the cabin!
Make plans to kayak, canoe, swim, whale watch, pick Maine blueberries, drive into Belfast and enjoy the unique shops or trek to Camden. Visit the amusement park on the Ocean in Old Orchard Beach. Hike in Acadia National Park, dine in one of the many fabulous restaurants, a Lobster shack, or take your picnic basket to the beach.
Everyday is a new adventure, just waiting for you to choose and enjoy!
The cabin has a full service kitchen, a unique bathroom with shower, living room with a full sized sleeper sofa, and a deck with a view!
Unique perks: 24hr pick your cheesecake at Momos or Sweet Cheeks bakeries. Enjoy a Scone Goddess scone and blueberry tea, savor the Only Donut plethora of flavors, Massimos homemade breads and oils/seasonings brought from Italy...

We absolutely loved the little cottage, it was the perfect size and location for us! All the sweet little extras…personalized note, recommendations on our stay, treats in the fridge…just perfect!

We enjoyed our stay in Sarah’s charming cottage. The cabin itself is spotless, with charming decor, and everything supplied for our two day stay. The bed was comfortable with plenty of extra linens and pillows. We enjoyed the fire pit and reading in the cozy sofa area. A bottle of wine and treats in the fridge were so appreciated! Ease of communication with Sarah also a bonus. This cottage is in the perfect location for exploring Acadia, Bar Harbor, Belfast and many other small towns of the midcoast. Eat at Delvinos in Belfast!

This is a quiet and peaceful place to look out on the cove, read on the porch, and enjoy the beauty of coastal Maine. We stayed here and I ran the Lobster Festival 10K in Rockland with my son. Excellent spot and will definitely return here.

This was and absolutely wonderful trip! Sarah, the host was very sweet and made our stay great! She was available and give us some great tips for places to eat and activities to do! Would definitely recommend!

The obstacle between bed and bathroom is a beautiful spiral staircase. At 70 we could not traverse the stairs twice a night and spent three nights on the pull out couch. Moved to a real bed for the final two nights of our vacation.
Loved the view at high tide. Not so much at low tide. The train came by once and shook the place. Other than that, the cabin was clean, beautifully decorated and peaceful. Thank you Sarah for allowing us to stay.

The property was great, couldn’t ask for a better view. Sarah the owner was attentive to our needs and contacted us a couple of times during our stay to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. If I am ever in Maine again I will definitely stay here. The cabin is centrally located and it’s easy to drive to other parts of Maine and Canada.

All as listed, very neat little place -- we especially love the spiral staircase! Excellent views, super quiet neighborhood. Sarah is very communicative and proactive about reaching out. Amply stocked with snacks as well :)

The cabin was as described and very sweet, clean and comfortable. We used the cabin as a home base to explore parts of the coast and it served us well. Sarah was very communicative and even offered us to stay on since the weather was bad the day of our departure. There are neighbors nearby but it was quiet and no one bothered us. I would recommend if you're exploring the area.

This lovely cabin, at the end of a quiet road, combines privacy and coziness with plenty of light and air. We spent time on the large porch overlooking the water. The sleeping loft was comfortable and the spiral stairs were a charming touch. The sitting area downstairs offered an excellent view of the water during wet weather. We stayed for ten days and found plenty to do in the surrounding towns when we weren't hanging out in the cabin. There are plenty of hiking trails nearby. Don't miss visiting nearby Fort Knox and the observation tower on top of the Penobscot Narrows Bridge. Our host was very welcoming.

The cabin was BEAUTIFUL! My husband and I spent 3 days enjoying the coast of Maine from the cabin. It is close to SO many great sights and towns. The cabin was well stocked, and Sarah went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her thoughtful and great communication was amazing. I was slightly worried about the train tracks prior to booking, but it was NOT an issue. We never hear a train in the time we were there. The peaceful setting was great to enjoy coffee on the porch, and the loft was cozy for napping and sleeping! HIGHLY recommend this property for a getaway!

Relaxing Getaway
Wonderful property. Host Sarah sets you up with everything you need to relax and enjoy your time. She is very communicative and easy to get in touch with. Breeze off the ocean made even a tough heatwave bearable. Property remote enough to have privacy but close enough to local towns for shopping, eating and exploring. Cabin is exactly as it appears in the photos. It is next to train tracks but a train only went by once over a long weekend, so not an issue. Perfect place to escape, relax and enjoy a beautiful starry night sky. We hope to return!

Perfect peaceful getaway
The cottage and property were exactly as described, tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood. It was clean and decorated nicely. Sarah was great at communicating and had treats and other items stocked for us. Some of the more popular attractions in the area (Acadia, Bar Harbor, Camden) were a bit of a drive, but we were fine with that given the peaceful setting we had. We would definitely return to stay here and would recommend the cottage to friends!

Everything we wanted
The perfect spot and cabin for our stay in Maine. Could not have been happier with the cabin, cleanliness, amenities, and most of all Sarah who answered every question so fast and also provided a few surprises for us to make our stay even more enjoyable. When we return we will definitely look into the availability of this cabin

Paradise
We spent two weeks in Sarah’s little corner of paradise and it was ideal for relaxation and repose. It was also perfectly situated for going on adventure. Sarah was attentive and helpful, welcoming and friendly. Her home was creative and comfortable. The view was the best therapy after a crazy year. The personal touches were a thoughtful delight. We could not recommend her wee cottage by the sea enough to any who seek a true vacation. Thank you Sarah for a wonderful and memorable escape to the beautiful state of Maine!

Great place to get away from everything.
Sarah's place is a cool cabin on the water where you can literally watch the tide roll in. She had everything we needed and aside from a loud refrigerator and a washing machine out of order, we enjoyed our stay. The fire ring and porch overlooking the bay was perfect.

Charming cabin, with great attention to detail
We absolutely loved our time at the cabin. Sarah has redone the cabin to perfection. The charm and coziness made it a perfect first stop on our trip to Maine. We greatly appreciated the extra goodies and care Sarah put into making it a "home away from home". Thanks so much!

Everything You Need
The owner, Sarah, does everything possible to make you feel like you're at a "home away from home" with food & beverages in the fridge, clean and neat cabin, with interesting decor...all with a great view of Stockton Harbor. It's a quiet town without the mobs and traffic you'll find elsewhere in Maine in August, yet you're only 10-15 mins from Belfast and maybe 20 to Ellsworth where there are some cool new food and beer places to enjoy. Cape Jellison (with Fort Point State Park) and Sandy Point Beach are very close and great for biking, paddling or swimming. We are told a dock will be in place at the property maybe next year.
