It was a comfortable B&B with a quite large bedroom and very big bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Nice toiletries.Big shower
Breakfast was tasty- it is continental.
The owner was very helpful about how to get around the city.
Nothing really.
Just to note- you do have to go up two flights of stairs to the hotel.
The room doesn't have a lot of storage, nor a shaving mirror

The hotel is a historical building across the cathedral. It's located about 15min walk from the city center.
The room was spacious and comfortably furnished, the bathroom was big enough.
Laura, with whom we were in contact during our stay, was friendly and very accommodating. The check-in experience was uncomplicated and done via email.
The breakfast was served in the restaurant on the ground floor of the building and was tasty and healthy (fresh fruits and home made muesli).
As with all older building, ear plugs are a good idea.

Beautiful comfortable room and fantastic bathroom with everything we needed. A great location if you have a student at Strathclyde Uni. Breakfast was great, fresh fruit, all homemade.
Self check in was good, details were spot on. Door and low lighting may be difficult to manage for some guests.

The room was small, yet comfortable. The restaurant located in the building was amazing. Great location. A path directly across from the hotel leads you to an amazing cemetery with gorgeous views. Go at sunset

Comfy bed.
The road noise at 6am at the morning. The room was overpriced for what it was. The price raised however because of the big event in the area.

Location, large room nicely decorated, high quality breakfast
Self checkin is a little impersonal

Lovely continental breakfast with freshly baked bread and a generous portion of fruit, yoghurt and granola. The hotel is in a great location just out of the main city centre so quiet enough to get a good night's sleep but only 10 mins to George Square. Really comfy bed and great shower with fab cathedral views.

The Cathedral House Hotel is located perfectly for visiting Glasgow,
Checking in may sound difficult, having to check in via email but this proved to be very easy with all instructions given👌
the staff are extremely friendly especially Andy, who welcomed us to lunch, very helpful, funny and knowledgeable, making our one night stay even better.

Really nice room, clean and spacious. Free upgrade of room due to lack of facilities.
Reception and room allocation all done by email, and we only found this out when we tried to get access via the ground floor restaurant (which is not part of the hotel but occupies part of the building. Once colocated restaurant closed at 6pm we were only people in the 8 bedroom building - felt like we were house sitting rather than hotel guests. At breakfast we were told the kitchen is not open in the morning so our only choice was continental whether you wanted it or not (dish of fruit, home made granola and yoghurt, toast and rhubarb compote) nice though it was, the hotel website does say it offers cooked or continental breakfast. When we met Laura at breakfast she was very nice, helped us with a map, guide book and directions but it would have been nice to have been met at the start of our stay rather than half way through.

Near Necropolis and 15 minutes to the center is this lovely hotel a perfect accommodation to explore Glasgow. The rooms are nice with all you need. The hosts at friendly, the breakfast done with love.
Something to criticise is according to an old beautiful building in the middle of the town.

The property was in a great location in an older interesting part of Glasgow.
The loft rooms were extremely warm and uncomfortable. We couldn’t leave the windows open for some fresh air due to torrential rain and it coming in the windows and soaking out stuff ( there was water marks on the walls from clearly where that had happened before) So an addition of a electric fan would be a great addition to the room to help people stay cool in the summer months.
The breakfast was not to our liking (personal taste) we were told continental breakfast ( so were expecting, cold meats, cheese, croissants, breads, cereal etc and to be able to help yourself like a continental breakfast normally is.) But instead got a set menu with no other options which consisted of fruit in a bowl, a little pot of yogurt, Granola, and a slice of toast/ coffee/ orange juice and was given to us.
It would have been nice to have had a cooked breakfast but that wasn’t an option.
The loft rooms and corridor also smelled very very strongly of smoke, we don’t know if it was the kitchen below or where it was coming from, which for 3 out of the four of us who were staying had asthma it wasn’t the best and resulted in two of us having to take extra medication.
