Wonderful!

This four bedroom villa is perfectly situated on the North Side of Grand Cayman away from the crowds of 7 Mile Beach. The beach is quite private with only a few homes sharing a nice stretch of beach. We enjoyed our time snorkeling off the beach and relaxing on the front deck.

Location was fabulous. No ac for first three days. Temperature inside was between 78 and 83. No hot water in one of the bathrooms for first three of four days. Cookware very very poor. Location and beach were exquisite. Property manager was fabulous

Beautiful Northside
The house fits 8 adults comfortably and has all the necessary accommodations/ accessories. Even came with 2 kayaks! And the snorkeling right off the back of the house was fantastic :)

What a Gem!
Great Northside location (away from the touristy hubbub of Seven Mile yet super close to the relaxing Kaibo Marina & Rum Point), beautiful house, phenomenal view, amazing private beach snorkeling. It just doesn’t get any better than this!

We really enjoyed the location and home. Its on the quieter side of the island near Rum Point which we really preferred over the much more chaotic 7 mile beach area. Was great for two families. The kids had a great time.

wonderful spot
We rented the house for 6 nights in February 2019 and had an amazing time. The house was clean and well designed. The layout was perfect for out group of 7 adults. Everyone has their space. The kitchen was well designed. Internet worked well.
I am really glad we chose this spot because it was away from the crowds but close enough to restaurants and beaches and boat rentals. We explored the caves, walked and ran, and had a lot of beach time at out own beach and at other great spots around the island. We rented SUP's and did snorkeling and diving trips.
The long enclosed porch was lovely and bright and the deck was great.
We had room to park 3 cars.
The place was great and I hope to stay there again.

Wanted to add my two cents as I realize there have been no reviews for quite a long time. While we enjoyed our stay in Conquered Fame and getting to explore Grand Cayman, this side of the island was apparently experiencing some unusual beach conditions (according to someone we met on the island) while we were there, to no fault of the owners of course. It was very windy, the waters were very choppy, and the debris of seaweed on the beach on this side was overwhelming. That said, the walk from the villa to Rum Point, while not long, was actually unpleasant. Between the excessive seaweed debris, the volume of actual garbage washed up from the ocean that lay before us, and the very rocky conditions, we actually preferred walking in the street or driving. While the seaweed debris seemed excessive at Rum Point too, they had employees there cleaning it up, so spending the day at Rum Point was still quite enjoyable. 4 members of my family took the challenge to snorkel from the villa to Rum Point. It was a very difficult swim, even though the tides helped you along. (They said the snorkeling was average here- much better snorkeling was found in Cemetary Beach, Governor's Beach and Spotts Beach.) Very difficult to give up before you get to Rum Point tho b/c you can't really exit the water once you've passed the villa because of the excessive coral and rocky exit. Note- only strong swimmers should try this!
The villa itself was clean, but clearly out-dated. The owner's "closet" is just a mess of supplies pushed carelessly in the back of the master bedroom closet, with nothing blocking the view, nor access. Even with access to the "owners closet", there were no portable chairs to carry with us to other beaches, nor a cooler. The old, rusty, loud washer & dryer are behind a curtain in another bedroom- not very attractive either. Bathrooms are older. There were some issues accessing the villa when we arrived, and then with a toilet that was leaking, both issues were resolved by the on-island property manager.
I was surprised by other reviews indicating that this villa has a good beach front for young children to play. In actuality, there is a small, sandy beachfront but only a rocky entry to the water in front of the villa. You need to walk about 75-100 yards away from the house to enter the water safely without huge rocks/coral in your way. And even there you need flippers or water shoes to enter. TV has spotty coverage. Wifi worked great, thankfully.

My family and I recently traveled to Grand Cayman and had the pleasure of staying at Conquered Fame on Rum Point. If you've been to Grand Cayman before but never spent time on Rum Point, it is an absolute must! Away from the hustle of 7-mile beach, it is super laid back and has far superior snorkeling right off the beach. We had 7 adults traveling along with my 2-1/2 yr old son. Conquered Fame could not have been better suited to the group of us. Short of an IPOD dock, the house has all of the amenities that we needed for a relaxing beach getaway, including a washer/dryer. The beautifully landscaped entry to the house is so welcoming after a 7 hour trip from New York with a toddler. The entire north wall is glass so has excellent exposure and views of the sunrise each morning. The house is on the beach, and, while it can be pretty windy on the north side, is excellent for swimming. The wind actually makes the sun a little more bearable midday letting us lay out or play our own version of beach bocce (with coconuts). The barrier reef is about 100 yards off the beach and is phenomenal for snorkeling. We were able to see all sorts of fish, lobsters, rays and even a sea turtle right off the house beach! The restaurants in the area, are all true to island form, serving great seafood including conch in all forms (the lionfish ceviche at Tukka on the east end is incredible!). Rum point does a BBQ every Tuesday that should not be missed as well. All of the water related activities have departures directly from Rum Point, which, being walking distance from Conquered Fame, was extremely convenient. We did the bio luminescence kayak tour from Kaibo yacht club right up the road which was absolutely amazing and a must do!
TJ and Therese have such a fantastic home in Grand Cayman. I can't picture staying anywhere else on any future visits to the island. Thank you both for facilitating a fantastic vacation for all of us.
Best,
Jon and family.

As soon as we pulled into the driveway, we knew we picked the right place to stay. Inside the house had a nice open layout with great views throughout the back. Snorkeling, swimming, sun bathing, all in your own "private" beach. In the evening, we had front row seats to the meteor shower. For other activities, Rum Point is close by, offering rental kayaks, paddle boards and wave runners.
Definitely, a much more relaxed and quiet place to be than Seven Mile beach. The only regret is not getting to stay longer. Owner is great to work with and Conquered Fame is highly recommended. Thanks for sharing your home T.J.

We had a wonderful time staying at Conquered Fame for Spring Break. The house was exactly as the pictures show. Very clean and very open. Perfect views of the water and the reef. Agree with others that the snorkeling out the back door was some of the best on the island. Saw Rays (adult and young), lion fish, a green moray eel and fish of every descripion within sight of the house. Rum Point and Cayman Kai are both great and only minutes away. My son had fun knocking down coconuts and opening them for us for breakfast each day. This home is perfect for families.

What a place to relax and enjoy the Carribean. My husband Joe and I went with another couple in December. We were looking for a low key quiet vacation and we found it at Conquered Fame. The snorkeling was great and the weather perfect. The house was cozy and had everything we needed. I can see it would also be a great place for family vacations. The house is roomy and the beach is right outside. It was a great stay.

T.J.,
Yes, we really loved staying at your lovely home. It was just what we were hoping for. The children enjoyed having a home on the beach for 2 weeks, and never had a shortage of things to do, from snorkeling, flying kites, digging up conch shells on the beach, or inspecting the wildlife in the tidal pools. They named the lizards living under the deck, and built a shelter, complete with a “flag” in the backyard with old palm leaves. We all enjoyed the Rum Point and Kaibo area, as well as a trip to the botanic garden, turtle farm, and a boat charter. Mostly, though, we enjoyed just spending time at the house.
By the end of 2 weeks, we felt like locals, cooking up all kinds of new things, and visiting the Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning. No one wanted to go home.
The bedroom lay-out worked out well for our family, giving everyone a bed, as well as some space for my husband and myself to relax in after the kids were asleep. (no one camped out in the living room)
I have already recommended your home to another family who was interested in learning more about our awesome vacation! Thanks so much for the opportunity.

Great getaway
We loved this house and plan on returning next year. The house is perfect for families, high chair and pack 'n' play available, lots of games and books. We had fresh coconut water every day from the trees around the house (if you do not know how to chop a coconut, the landscaping crew will be more than happy to do that for you). Quiet area of the island, a nice relaxing get away. We can not wait to return.

Christmas in the Caymans
Our family wanted a warm Christmas instead of Northern Minnesota snow/cold one year, and we found a wonderful time in the Rum Point area at Conquered Fame. The best snorkeling we found was right in front of the house. The organization of keys/reservation was well done, no frustration at all. It is about a 45 minute drive from the airport and 30 minutes from a large grocery store, but you can get a lot of experience driving on the left side!!!! Good restaurants in the area, a small convenience store , post office, very friendly people and we felt very safe walking. The hustle/bustle is definitely in Georgetown/7 mile beach, but wow is it busy, not our style, so where we were was absolutely perfect. We liked the relaxation of the area, and if we wanted the night life/busy shopping etc, we could drive there, experience it and then retreat back to our solitude and beauty Conquered Fame had to offer.

Great Rum Point Get-a-Way
Great place to really enjoy Grand Cayman and Rum Point. We (four adults and two children) wanted to stay some place other than on Seven Mile Beach. We found this wonderful property and from the minute we drove up, we knew that we had made the right choice.
Yes, George Town is 30 mins. away, but you'll see so much of the island that you would never see otherwise. The East End is a short drive away and of course Rum Point is even closer.
The sandy beach is your "back yard" and the snorkeling is there 24/7. You should really consider this property for your next Grand Cayman adventure.

Fantastic!
We have now made it home from Conquered Fame, and of course, we are missing it, and all of Grand Cayman already. Your home worked our for our families, perfect in every way. We enjoyed the location, the beach, the water, and all the amenities of the house. We found no better snorkeling on the island than right out the back door, and no more beautiful scenery for pictures, than right off the back deck. Spending our last few hours gazing over the ocean, towards the reef really captured our hearts, and made a lasting impression on all of us. We truly fell in love with the island.
Thanks for opening your home for us, and sharing such a wonderful spot.

Truly paradise! With 8 adults sharing the house, we were comfortable, relaxed, and had every convenience we could ask for. Without a doubt, the location is the best on the island with beach side access to the tidal pool just out the back door, Rum Point just down the road, and quick drives to many fine dining establishments (Cayman style!). Our favorite activities were snorkeling, eating, snorkeling, enjoying cocktails, snorkeling, Red Sail cruises, snorkeling, touring and snorkeling. Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise. Loved it!

T. J.,Thank you so much for making our annual family vacation and first visit to Grand Cayman a WONDERFUL experience! Your rental home was FANTASTIC! The setup was perfect for our family and the location worked out wonderfully since the extended family members we were traveling with stayed right next to Kaibo yacht club giving us both waves/diving and beach/calm waters! The house provided all the essentials and comforts to make my family feel relaxed from the first day and we quickly realized we could roll out of bed, take a few steps onto your beach, and snorkel just another few yards to see stingrays, lobsters, and all sorts of amazing fish in crystal blue water! The advice and information you provided was also an excellent touch and I can’t thank you enough! We had a great time and I appreciate it tremendously! My wife has already informed me that we will be returning in the future and I will definitely keep your contact information!Thank you!Regards…Michaeldavid

We stayed at Conquered Fame May 31, 2009 through June 7, 2009. The house was perfect, setup perfectly for 2 families. It has everything you need, and the beach is spectacular. We enjoyed Rum Point, and Kaibo, at the end of the road. Very close to the house, and some fun activities. We definitely would recommend, and hopefully one day we can go back!
