We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa- excellent spacing, beautiful vegetation around and a lot of privacy. Flowers in the living room when we arrived gave a very nice smell throughout our stay. Not too far from center of Ubud, easy to arrange any activity through reception.
Pool was a bit too cold for our taste, but kids loved it anyway.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr schön im Grün der Umgebung eingebettet.
Durchgesessene Couch mit fleckiger Abdeckung, Flecken im Bettzeug, wirkte alles irgendwie schmuddelig.

Fantastic and spacious room, bathroom and veranda, pool just a few steps away. Very stylish design, love the quaint artefacts scattered all around, love the outdoor shower with the lush little garden. Also the gardens all around the place are lovely and jungle like. Terrific staff. Overall great attention to detail. Also free access to Titi Batu's pool and gym next door is a huge bonus!
I love everything about this place!

Breakfast was good with different choices.
The villa was very spacious with large central living areas and big kitchen.
Villa was quiet and secluded, although close to transport on main road and close to Club

Staff were beautiful and our room, the pool and gardens were lush!
A little away from Ubud attractions. We hired scooters and this was perfect!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, nice and quiet with lush jungle surrounds. Staff were great, I’d definitely stay here again.
The only downfall is that it’s about 30/40 min walk from the main part of town. It’s a nice walk during the day and easy to get transport at night but if you’re someone who wants to be close to it all then this isn’t it.

Poorly maintained villa with broke down aircond on the second night. Informed the staff at 4pm, and after 5th attempt, technician came to check at 10pm but the aircond is not working. Both my kids are sweating in their sleep that we need to fan them. No room change is given, only sent us ridiculous fan
Very badly support team with no solution given, manager is not contactable, no room change is offered.
How ridiculous is it that we paid for the villa but sleep through the night without aircond just a mini fan!

Pretty villas and nice gardens.
Not great value for money. Little communication from staff on arrival and during our stay.

Japanese style interior. tastefully furnished. very comfortable bed. The room is really clean and cozy.
upon arrival after the check-in time we still had to wait until the room was cleaned, but the staff lied about the "double check". It would be better to tell the truth. we were late for the meeting because of the wait for check-in.
The villa has an old dog that barks at the guests. the personal lady kicked the dog to silence it. very ugly.
the room has a bath. after draining the water the bathroom was flooded, i had to clean because the drain was blocked.

We stayed in the Golden Moon Villa and it was amazing. All of the staff were so kind and helpful. The Villa was absolutely amazing. I didn’t realise the bedrooms were in separate buildings though, although within the same villa with a door that locks but with the pool in between. This was ok for us but would not be suitable for people with younger children. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast every day and it was nice.
Make sure you check out the building when you check in. we happened to chat to the owner who told us how much of the building was made from an old Portuguese ship.

Beautiful place, nice and quiet area but not to far from the centre, the only minus is that in Ubud the traffic is very bad, so it makes it difficult to do many activities a day, otherwise, very nice neighbourhood, with the sports club 100m away and one of the best spas Janes spa is 50m away as well. The communal kitchen is great to have, with stove and fridges, it just need a few more utensils and plates. Also having mineral water available is a big plus!!
A bit of bad smell in the room when air-conditioning is off. Very slippery floor when it's wet.

The location, rooms and service was wonderful. The views from the room were gorgeous and access to Titi batu club was convenient. The staff was were kind and helpful. Both Ayu's at the front desk were very sweet. Breakfast was good. We ordered a massage for the family and they felt very relaxed at the end of it.
It would have been helpful to know that breakfast was not a buffet but Ala cart. It was a set menu and only some things were included. The access to the rooms were a bit tough because of the steep steps. Our senior citizens couldn't go up and down and had to get their breakfast ordered in the room. A ramp for easy access would have been convenient. Def buffet breakfast makes it easier for a diverse group like ours. The attached pools were pretty cold so didn't use them. Went to club instead.

The room was beautiful, the design was stunning. The staff was amazing, even the grumpy guard dog was on point. The stay was peaceful and relaxing. The options for relaxing on the property were excellent. Enjoyed our stay, and would definitely return. The WiFi was very good!

This is a lovely place for younger couples and travellers if they are booking to stay at suites or rooms. Villas are probably suitable for all. The location is fantastic, very close to Jl. Pengosekan, you could walk it, bike it or car it - your choice. There is a lovely walk around the village for some quiet exploration, some small local shops and nice cafes, such as Basil Pesto right next to the property.
The rooms are spacious, bathrooms well equipped and gorgeous. The place is mostly ran by a team of young people, all very helpful, lovely and kind. The gentleman who provides the car service is an absolute gem - accommodating and fun to chat with. The villa gardens are also very pretty.
My booking was made via Booking.com for a suite, which was occupied on my arrival, so I was given a smaller room instead without an explanation. While the rooms are pretty, they are not always most intuitive for the guest. For example, there is no space to keep a medium suitcase (unless you want it completely unpacked and put away) - the best I could find is an empty spot on the floor in the bathroom. There is also no spot to sit and relax inside the room during long rainy days, which was the reason I booked a suite in the first place.
The staff at the cafe are wonderful and attentive, but the food - and especially coffee - could be improved. This is not a huge issue, unless you are a big coffee drinker, in which case there are places, such as Basil Pesto, to get coffee.
Morning juices served at the resort cafe are not fresh, but made with syrup/concentrate. Being served some fruit and fresh fruit juices in the morning seems to be a standard everywhere else I stayed in Bali, so this was a bit disappointing
Finally, I would say that the word 'luxury' is used somewhat loosely here. The view from the room's balcony was meant to be one of its selling points and it is very pretty unless you look down. The grounds around the little creek (described as 'a river'), even directly underneath the room's balcony were littered with rubbish. This should be easy to clean. The big ceramic pot on the balcony is broken. The curtains have large stains on them. Little details like this really do matter. However, none of this can take away from the kindness and loveliness of the villa staff.

lush green gardens, fantastic food and service. feels like a home away from home
shower curtain in the 3bdrm villa needs upgrading, bit mouldy, lots of geckos which is lovely to be close to nature but they do leave a mess ;)

Surya Kumbar villas was peaceful and so relaxing. Our villa was beautifully designed and modern but still had the charm of Ubud. The restaurant by the rice paddy was delightful and staff extremely helpful. A very special place!
