Thank you for such a beautiful accommodation with the historical charm combined with modern comfort. We appreciated the small details like the fresh flowers in several rooms, loved the fireplaces and the outdoor bath, while the kids had a great time exploring the available toys and books!

We were travelling to attend my son's wedding and were treated to the beauty and convenience of this Lancefield property for a "home base." Highly recommend, and we were sorry to have to leave. Thank you from all of us.

The atmosphere of the old bank is stunning, the entire family really enjoyed the property and being walking distance from everything in town made the entire stay an absolute joy. Lisa was also very accommodating and quick to help where ever she could!

Loved this accomodation from the moment we walked in. This might be the first place I’ve stayed that looked even better in person than in the listed photos. We had a wonderful stay, thank you so much <3

This place is pure luxury with history!
We loved this house and it's character. Outdoor bath a treat.
House has everything you need. Child friendly (front and back year enclosed, toy chest etc).
We had such a fantastic time we requested to stay another evening at short notice and Lisa quickly communicated back to us. Divine art on all of the walls. Highly recommended.

Everything you have read is true. This is one of the most amazing homes we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in many. Location in the middle of the town of Lancefield. Five minute walk to the Lost Watering Hole Brewery who serve excellent food and drink. On the Sunday morning the monthly farmers market was on too. The house itself is beautifully furnished, had everything we needed and was so comfortable we didn’t want to leave. As Molly used to say “ do yourself a favour”. This is it.

Outstanding property that was accurately described in the promotional narrative. I booked on behalf of a family overseas friends. I viewed the property on their arrival and was very pleased. We saw our friends each day for three days and they were very happy. Thank you, Lisa.

Overall, this was a wonderful stay & the property is lovely with rich history. We enjoyed the beautiful fire, hydronic heating, garden, games, outdoor bath, library & lovely beds. We walked in to a nice warm house & loved lounging by the fire. The outdoor bath is a real treat & the garden is lovely. 4pm checkout was a delight & just unheard of. We loved making an extra day of our stay. Being so close to the town was also wonderful to visit the lovely shops & cafes. The kitchen is fairly well stocked for what you would need. Some utensils need updating (eg the measuring cup leaks).
The downsides:
Cleanliness isn’t fantastic. Definitely needs a deep clean (especially ceilings). I agree with the previous review that the cleaning list isn’t included in the emailed instructions and only found on a piece of paper which is easily missed. If being hounded like the previous person posted is the result of missing this, you really wouldn’t want to! There’s cameras on the property that watch you coming in and out, in the garden etc. I have stayed at hundreds of accommodations throughout the world and have never seen this. It’s an awful feeling walking in the door or exploring the garden and feeling watched. Really detracts from the privacy and safety of a holiday. Also reading that the host used these negatively by sending footage and pictures to previous guests as “proof” of what they did wrong really makes me uneasy.

We rented this place for our bridal party and the night of our wedding. Beautiful place but no communication from the owner as to how to property should be left on the emailed check in instructions OR on the listing. Owner referred to a piece of paper of the fridge. Not really good enough.
Owner also sent through photos of us at the property, I wonder about the privacy concerns around this. The property was beautiful but would not return or recommend. Owner is quite rude and inconsiderate and proceeded to hound us the day after our wedding.

The property was perfect, clean, cosy and comfy. Close to everything we wanted to do in the region. The owner's communication was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous, super cosy, unique
We loved staying at The Bank. Lisa was super informative in her emails, and advising we could check-in earlier as the place was ready sooner than hoped. And then we were again to check out late - all very much appreciated!!
It is such a unique property - the bedrooms are beautifully appointed, the lounge was stunning and large but the heating was amazing (we had the coldest days in Melbourne on record). The kitchen had everything we needed - it was the little things that helped - lovely cheese platter available, cute little serving bowls.
There was lots of space (there was 3 of us).
The bedrooms were unique - the upstairs bedroom could only be accessed by stairs from the 2nd bedroom, and the upstairs bedroom had a door but there was also a loft type area that overlooked the first bedroom. If you're looking for ultimate privacy then this location may not be suitable, but we loved the absolute charm of this place.

Elegant historic home in a delightful setting
An elegant house , warm and comfortable, with a delightful garden. We arrived in a very cold snap but fortunately the house is very cosy despite its many high ceilings. We even had a fire one evening. Lancefield is picturesque with a providore small supermarket and Tea Room nearby. Despite one or two glitches that were quickly attended to by the owner we would not hesitate return and hopefully stay longer

Beautiful heritage property in the heart of town
Amazing heritage property in the heart of lancefield. So clean and spacious with amazing decor to make you feel like you are in a heritage bank. Soaring ceilings and beautiful paneling on the ceiling. Furniture set out to feel very luxurious. The property is on Main Street of the town right across from the local providor for awesome coffee and produce. We where lucky when we stayed as the farmers market was on in the Main Street on the Saturday and then the swap meet was on the Sunday. There is lots to do and see in lancefield and you are on 20 min drive from Kyneton as well to go exploring. Well worth a visit and the house is beautiful and warm with a fire place to use as well with working internet and Netflix to use. Great toys for kids to play and especially loved the reading nook upstairs with so many books for adults and kids to use. The property is amazing will definitely be back.

The house is gorgeous and comfortable from the moment you open the door. Gardens are so lovely and relaxing too. We stayed for two nights with children and inlaws and had a lovely weekend. We all enjoyed the books and games. Great location and lovely place

Stunning, historical property.
My partner and I stayed at this property (drawn in by the beautiful outdoor bath), and were so taken by the grandeur and history of the building, how beautifully appointed and designed it is, and how it has been fitted out with slick technological features that mean no modern comfort is sacrificed. The high ceiling and curtains deserve their own shout out. It was a truly unique stay and we couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Phenomenal property!
We were blown away by Lisa's property. Absolutely stunning, so grand and comfortable. Check in process was seamless. Anything you might need is within walking distance.
Not to mention Lisa was very understanding with our multiple postponements in 2021. So glad we were finally able to stay.
Thank you so much
