A beautifully maintained house that radiated tranquility with a fabulous owner with standards

Beautifully maintained house with gentle music, interesting decor, garden and lots of plants. Very peaceful. The owner, Payal, is gentle, knowledgeable about the area and practical- nothing is too much trouble.

The bathroom was a no.

It is a quiet living quarter tucked 100m away from a busy streets with easy access to transportation. The building is quite cute, with a lovely courtyard and a homey common living and dining room. The owner and staff are very nice and sweet people, so does the food!

The cleanliness isn't the best here, the bathroom could be quite old, our towels felt very wet and dirty under the basin. Coming during the winter time wasn't a good experience either, the room was quite cold most of the time even with a heater.

Great base for visiting Amritsar

Helpful staff, Payal and Hans both lovely. Delicious food. Organised an early morning taxi for us. Easy to find location.

Room could be a little cold (heater is provided) and they insisted on cash payment - not a problem but Booking.com page did specify card payment was available.

Poor Stay/Disappointing.

Just the Green Surrounding.

The rooms were smelly and overly charged as compared to Hotel Service and rooms, they charged extra amount for changing the room (when we ask to change the room because there room was smelly) they charged us extra. There were no one to cater us, I have to call the owner again and again for even water. Poor stay for us.

Overall nice but not suitable for solo travellers , people who prefer hanging out at night or having a company / mat

The asthetics of the property were super nice, hospitality and staff were very cordial, breakfast was very homely , and they can customise it to your needs subject to condition.

Not recommended to book the Bougainvillea bed and breakfast if you are a solo traveller looking for more privacy or having your friends over or even stepping outside of the house after 10:30 pm or if you are a night owl and will return after 11:00 pm. You need to reach out / message the care taker to unlock the door access for you. Also not recommended if you want hassle free stay without remaining in too much communication with the owner lady for your needs.

Bathrooms cud have been better as far as the flooring was too cold which made it very unconfortable. Probably they need to use more floor mats and even carpets in the room

Wonderful stay

absolutely loved my stay here! perfect proximity to golden temple, Its my second visit here and truly feels like a home away from home. The best part is that amidst the hustle bustle lies a beautiful quaint oasis where you can unwind and enjoy the beautifully crafted place with friendly staff and the breakfast is amazzzzing!!

Exceptional

The entire setup is so well thought in terms of creating spaces to unwind and relax. I loved the earthy touches are green backdrops everywhere. it’s a very modern rustic feel you get. even though in very close to the city it’s calm and surreal. We also loved the food served specially the Palak chicken. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is assistance available all the time and the hospitality is just what you need to feel home away from home.

A fabulous way to experience true Amritsari hospitality

I’m so glad I booked The Bouginvillea for our stay. All of my family loved the experience, hospitality and food. Such a tranquil and uplifting space to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. I loved the attention to detail and the warm welcome. They were so accommodating of special meal request for my nephew too which we were super grateful for. must try the bread rolls for breakfast!

There’s nothing not to like. Maybe two small recommendations - amp up the toiletries and maybe a pitcher of cold water with lemon or cucumbers would have been great because it was so hot when we were there.
