Don't believe the past reviews - this is a poorly maintained property.

Location was good as it was an easy walk to the Golden Temple. The staff were helpful and allowed us to extend our checkout time by an hour without any fuss.

The hotel is very run down and not in the condition that is advertised on the Booking.com website. It is also very poorly maintained and not cleaned to a good standard,

A good option to visit Amritsar

Hotel Shivaay Grand is a simple structure situated at walking distance from the Golden Temple. The staff has been helpful to solve some issues we had with the room and overall the hotel was clean and comfortable (for Indian Standards).

It was good overall. Again, for being in India, they have been able to solve the issues we had with the bed and with hot water, even if the hot water supply is very limited.

Excellent stay for family. Very close to golden temple. Walking distance.

Everything except the location(crowded around so a little difficult for big cars if you're driving)

Linen can be better.

Didn't meet the expectations as claimed in profile.

Cleanliness of the property and courteous staff.

Poor maintenance of furniture, intercom went out of order, AC remote not working, poor window view

Amritsar best hotel

We loved the guidance given by Javed ji and Tinku ji owner of the hotel. All the staff were so honest and helpful in every respect. I would always recommend all my friends and relatives this hotel when in Amritsar. A very Big thank you Javed Ji and Tinku Ji.

Ok but not good for my next travel to Amritsar

Location of the property which is very close to Golden Temple

If you are looking for Very neat and clean room, bed, bathroom, pillow, blankets, kettle, wardrobe, furniture, tv panel than this property is not for you.

Disappointing

Choked shower drain, 1 welcome water bottle for 3 members, no readymade tea/coffee provisions in room. These are basic stuff.

Location- close to golden temple

Although our booking was confirmed but when we arrived at the hotel, the room was not ready and we were made to wait at the reception area. Bathroom was also very dirty and dusty. They had put used toilet paper roll in the bathroom instead of new one. The bedsheet was also torn and they didn’t even replace it even after I brought this to their attention. Poor customer service from reception staff. Overall our stay wasn’t a good one given the amount of money they charge - the service was poor.

Location was perfect within 5 mins of walk from golden temple, as who are looking for accommodation near Golden temple can go for this hotel.

Nice hotel in the Centre of Amritsar

We liked the central location. The property has a lift. The staff is friendly. The rooms are modern and the showers are nice. The overall experience was quite pleasant.

Because of the central location it is quite noisy outside of the hotel. The restaurant at the property is a bit weird. It feels like a cafeteria and not a proper place to eat. We only had a snack in the evening and it was ok, nothing to rave about.
