Superb quiet rural location with great views. warm and cosy. absolute bargain price if visiting Brighton area. Great, substantial breakfast. Friendly staff and guests.
Nothing really. It’s not a posh hotel or B&B but at a price not much more than camping for a night is great value.

Simple, Comfortable and Good value
The staff manager was a real jobs-worth. Unhelpful and rude.

The breakfast was well cooked, there was a reasonable selection of cereals fruit juices, yoghurt and fruit compote and the service came with a smile. All the staff were cheerful friendly and helpful

The location is fab
It was noisy with people under the window late at night.

No conection to any other road for miles

Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff For weary travellers, having clean, comfortable bedding is crucial. Food is inexpensive and there is unlimited access to clean water. The water fountains are strategically situated. As for the question on location, it depends on the purpose of your trip. The area is perfect for walkers and explorers. Not so, if you want to go out at night.
For the cake and hot beverages, the cost was reasonable. They looked very tempting but they were very dry and felt as though it had been sitting out for a few days.

Great location and facilities.
Free wifi isn’t free (you have make an account with all your data like date of birth), so you pay with your data…
And it wasn’t a youth hostel at the time we visited… most people were 40+ (if not 50/60+).

Perfect location for walking the South Downs Way.
Unlike other YHA's, it didn't have lights and dockets at each bed.

Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Great location- we walked there from Amberley and continued to Lewes today. Lovely music fitting of the great views towards the sea. Very friendly staff.
