Voltaria a me hospedar ali.

Andreas is a very welcoming host as are all the staff. The breakfast is one of the features of the guest house with home made goodies. Urca is a quiet and relaxed village but easy to still get to other places. The views from the shared terrace were amazing. Any faults with the room are made up for with the atmosphere of the guest house.
The shower and bathroom are pretty small. Also it would be good to have more towels.

Great location in a part of Rio that is not so touristy. Walking distance to Sugarloaf Mountain. Great neighborhood for walking around and exploring. Room was beautiful and exceeded expectations. My girlfriend loved the wall art. Breakfasts were great and included a lot of homemade items (juices, breads, jams). Staff was extremely helpful in giving advice for some under the radar ideas for Rio.

The patio/breakfast open rooftop area is amazing
The room is extremely simple and has no window. I always need at least a window with some natural light othewise it feels claustraufobic.
So for a longer stay i would not do that or if they have get another room in the same place i would get that. But was only there for one night and did not check that while booking

The breakfast is amazing and really great served. We enjoyed the location pretty much because one feels really safe there although it can be really noisy at the evenings. Andreas is also a great host with whom you can also speak in three different languages, that made some communication problems really easy.
As mentioned before it can get really noisy outside, there is a popular meeting point for the sunset in front of the hotel. We had to ask for additional toilet paper because it was not refilled, and the door to the bathroom wasn’t working so we had to do things with an open door. We were also a bit unlucky because we had two days without water in the evening. There was a construction work or maintenance going on, still we didn’t get any compensation for not having the opportunity for taking a shower.

Very nice hotel to stay at for a couple of nights. Situated in a safe neighborhood, the suite was spacious. Breakfast was the highlight where everything is homemade. Andreas and Pedro were very nice and helpful throughout the whole stay.
There were some ants on the table, and a bit difficult to cool down the rooms.

We loved everything about our stay, and would 100% re-book again. Andreas is such a wonder host, and was able to help us with any questions we had about Rio from beach’s, bars and restaurants. Breakfast was amazing, and sitting out on the terrace with the most spectacular view to eat it was the best way to start the day. If your looking for a place to stay in Rio I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else but here.
There’s nothing we didn’t like.

Andreas and staff were exceptionally attentive. The morning breakfast was lovely, excellent coffee, fresh squeezed juices, fruits, pastries and delicious eggs. Portions are small but adequate.
Location is the best in Rio. Super safe, close to Sugarloaf and Red beach. Andreas handled all details of city tours and restaurant recommendations. There is a restaurant Urca Grill literally outside the door, good food and staff. Little dunk pool was refreshing after sightseeing tours. This guesthouse is in a 3 story century old building with stair access only. Clean, safe area, comfy bed .
Good value, amazing view, would stay here again!!
Furnishings are antique, hard and uncomfortable. Very basic. You will need electrical adapters for your phone etc.

Amazing host, very friendly and attentive, able to give us great advice about the surrounding area. Breakfast was also very nice.
Bathroom was slightly unfinished and quite a basic room

The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful and I was upgraded to the main suite free of charge. Also the terrace for breakfast was in a lovely location facing the Botafogo bay.

This is an amazing place, refined and bohemian, and staying there was a highlight of our time in Rio. At first sight it might appear less appealing that it actually is, and its finesse takes time to appreciate. Arguably this might be one of the best locations in the entire city, it is not surprising that locals gather in front of the guest house - every evening! - to appreciate the sunset view.

Excellent location in a very safe neighbourhood - walking distance to Mureta de Urca, Praia Vermelha & Pao de Açucar.
Superb service from a very friendly staff.
Fantastic views to enjoy a.delicious handmade breakfast.
Overall, good money for value in a local guest house. Recommended!
Cleanliness has room for improvement.
Facilities a wee bit old, but you can't ask for more at this price.

Andreas was the best! Super friendly, quick to respond to messages/inquiries. Provided me with some great advice and information about the Urca area. I arrived before the check-in time but was offered a room upgrade to one with a view overlooking the bay. The included breakfast had wonderful rolls and pastries to go along with the meat and cheese and fresh fruits. The location was walking distance from the local beaches and the hiking trail at Sugarloaf. Super safe location: the police station is right outside the entrance. I was concerned it might be loud at night, but with a set of earplugs I barely heard any ambient noise. I really liked having the little pool to jump in: the views from the pool and veranda area were great.
I was totally satisfied with the experience!

The hospitality of the owner was one of its kind. Andreas has built up an amazing litte jewel at a perfect spot of Rio with a stunning view from the roof terasse.
Perfectly located in peaceful Ucra next to Sugarloaf and a lovely beach.
If you come to Rio it’s a must to stay there.

The "hotelinho" is located in Urca, a beautiful and safe neighborhood in Rio. Even though the guest house is close to the Mureta da Urca (which gets busy during the weekends), we didn't hear much and slept very well. The breakfast is served on the terrace, we had fruits, breads, homemade jams, etc, it was delicious + you get an amazing view. The hosts are very friendly and helpful!
The soap in our bathroom smelled off. And we had been told that we could use the pool at night, but someone came to turn it off minutes after my partner entered the pool which was odd.

Andreas has to be the best host ever. He was really friendly and he went out of his to help us.
We really like the location, the place has a nice view of Christ the Redeemer and it is short walking distance to Sugarloaf mountain; there's also a mall (Rio Sul) nearby with a Havaianas store, and short Uber ride to Copacabana, Ipanema and Lapa.
In general we had absolutely no problem here and would come back in a heartbeat.

Very exceptional customer service. Great Sunset. Andreas the host was most accommodating and helpful. I recomend Urca Guest House for a relaxing stay. 5 star's 👍
