Dégoûtant

Rien absolument rien.

Je suis arrivé dans cet établissement insalubre. Une horreur absolue mon lit etait dans un état catastrophique. Cheveux, miettes, tâches. Abominable. J'ai quitté l'etablissement plus tôt que prévu pour cette raison.

La posizione

E' stata un'esperienza drammatica. Il pagamento doveva essere anticipato. Invece volevano cash oppure carta di credito con 10% in più di commissioni (booking deve ancora rispondermi..quindi sono ancora in attesa di rimborso di 33 €). In due giorni abbiamo cambiato 3 camere. La prima aveva il tubo dell'acqua rotto. E' mancata per 2 giorni l'acqua calda. La prima notte la camera non è stata sistemata.La seconda aveva le lenzuola per una persona quindi abbiamo dormito con mezzo corpo scoperto. La terza camera aveva il condizionatore che ogni 10 minuti emetteva rumore assordante. Segnalato tutto alla reception ma personale negligente al massimo.

I left within 10 minutes of checking in as the room was so dirty. I found a better hostel. The bed was covered in all sorts of hairs. The pillow was mouldy.

This is the nastiest hotel I have been.

People in Istanbul are nice and friendly though. The area was safe and convenient to the train, to Blue mosque and other stores.

I booked to start at Cheer Lighthouse. When I arrived at the hotel, the representative took us across the at another hotel and he said that is the same hotel because it is the same owner. The room was very small and our luggage’s could barely fit there. The TV and the fridge were unplugged and were not working. The bathroom cover was broken, the shower curtain was very dirty. After showing the water did not drain, it stay there for a while; basically the drainage was plugged. This place is very nosy because people at the shop located across the hotel made loud noise until 5:00 AM. This place was the most unpleasant, dirty, nasty place I ever been. I asked to be transferred to another place and the concierge refused. I will not recommend anyone to go stay at this place. When we were checking out, the representative asked if we have a taxi, I said we have one and he asked how much ; I said $35. He said, the taxi will asked for more when he will go into the tunnel on our way to the airport. He said for $40, I can get you another Taxi; I said why paying more. We are good. He tried to ripped us us off of $5….. The representative is young, smoke a lot and will ask you to pay cash instead of credit card and he wanted to charge us extra fees for paying with our credit card. TIP for travelers Taxi will be between $25 to $30 from the airport to this area. When shopping, when given a price; divide by three and offer that price. They are a lot of people who will tell you that they have a store, or they brother, cousin’s store, but they don’t. These people bring customers to a shop and get commissions in the price of what you will buy. This is a reason why they will elevate the price too high because they want a high commission. We experienced the same thing when we were in Dubai also.

Stellar View, Amazing Folks who run the place, great place overall!

Stupendous place to be in! Great location, close to Sultanahmet square, beautiful seafacing view in the Suite! Good breakfast! Met some awesome people as well! Their night events esp. Beer Pong was great fun! All in all a beautiful place to stay in, highly recommended if you want to travel in and around Istanbul (Main areas esp.)

Stambuł poza sezonem?

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja, smaczne śniadania., klimatyzacja w pokoju, widoki z balkonu

Brak skutecznej wentylacji łazienki niestety pojawiały się jakieś dziwne zapachy z kanalizy bądź instalacji elektrycznej (kaszlelismy od tego i bolała nas głowa). Zawsze trzeba było zostawiać otwarte okna przed wyjściem .Było to wielokrotnie zgłaszanie niestety pracownik recepcji nic nie zaradził. Przez cały nasz pobyt nie było sprzątane.

Very nice, fun and friendly hostel!

De staff members are very welcoming and eager to help one out! They have almost every night an activity with the other hostel members, which is very fun. It is in the europe side nearby Sultanahmet mosque. You meet lots of international people and has a nice vibe.

Well not much, everything was nice. We had some difficulties with the electricity, but it was due to the municipal road work. A slight discount would have been nice tho :). But a definitely recommended place to stay

The bathroom didn't contain a soap and body shower. The air-conditioned room is very weak, no slippers, no blanket, and the windows throws sounds, and very they have very ugly cat you couldn't feel a comfortable in the breakfast.

From the host to the occupancy of the room, everything was spot on. The room was perfect for solo traveller that still wanted their own privacy.

There really wasn't anything to not like, The room was situated on a busy side road, so you were disturbed with noise. Other than that, nothing not to like.

It's part of a cheers chain hence everything feels a little commercial. Like 80lira for a tower rental and disallowing bringing your own food and drinks in the common area

everyone is such a vibe here! especially the bartender Jay. He always host activities and fun events for everyone Both him and Murat are freaking awesome and so nice and hospitable.

Home in the heart of Istanbul

I always said that my favorite hostel was in Brazil, but I need to confess that Cheers Lighthouse steal my heart. If you're going to Istanbul, don't think twice, book this hostel. Since the moment that I arrived they were so kind and made me feel so welcome. The environment is like your home abroad. - The rooms are really good, the beds, space, matress, bathroom, bedding, closets. - The entire space is clean, organized and with a great view. - The hostel is located in the heart of the touristic points and there's everything you may need around you. - I really appreciate the staff, everybody was gentle and helpful, even though we didn't speak the same language. Special shout-out is Murat, Jay and Sebastian, you turned my stay into wishes to stay in Istanbul, you're incredible! Hope come back soon!

The hostel is located by the water in Sultanahmet only a short walk to all the attractions. Murat and Jay were fantastic hosts and made the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Fantastic atmosphere.

amazing place , location , lovely staff

The location , it’s in front of Bosphorus, so you get the view of the Bosphorus, Centrally located location like Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Ayasofia, restaurants are on walkable distance. Staff is so friendly, kind and helpful. They will make sure that you will feel the place your home.

Electric kettle should be there in Common room, kitchen or dining area for the guest to use. There is no provision at all for hot/cold drinking water at all. Either in common room or dorms atleast somewhere electric kettle should be there.

Great location and staff, services and wi-fi could be better.

This hotel is what you want when you are looking for a good value for money relationship. The location is quite good, only 7 minutes away from Theodosius Dikilitaşi (Obelisk of Theodosius) on foot and the way there is quite entertaining (there is even an interesting Mosaic museum on the way, albeit overpriced). Breakfast is good, neither variety nor quality are to be highlighted, but it is quite good. The view is astonishing. The staff is lovely, very attentive and they do theme nights. The triple rooms are big; the beds are comfortable. The heater works perfectly.

The sink in the bathroom is just awful, the water pressure is too high. The lamps do not have all the light bulbs in them, which is kind of weird. They did not clean the room at all on the first day. They did not change the towels in any of the days. Payments with card has a fee of +10% which is abusive and makes no sense nowadays. Wi-fi connection is not good.

Super cool hotel spirit and place to stay in Istanbul

A super cool place to stay for a journey in Istanbul : fantastic staff, awesome view on Marmara Sea from room and restaurant (sunrise and sunset), in the heart of Istanbul, very closed to Saint Sofia and every monuments. The spirit of Cheerslight House make it a perfect place to stay and discover the city.

Rooms were small but comfy. Communal area very welcoming - Jay worked hard to introduce new clients to more established, and helped to create a communal atmosphere. Murat the Manager was able to advise on local discounts and deals and was able to arrange cheaper transport transfers. Both great blokes!

Had an issue with power 1 night but it was soon sorted.

Cheers lighthouse is a great to place to stay. Good value for money. Central location , everything is nearby. The guy Sinan who works as a receptionist is an amazing person. He helped me alot with everything. I lost my bank card but he was there to offer help and support . He also helped me with so many things I needed to do. Really appreciate his help and support. I would definitely recommend this place.

Stay was horrible.

Room was very small,thre was no space to place our trolley bag. I asked for a little bigger room but denied. Bath room was very small. There was not place for fixing toilet paper roll. There was an old kettle but no coffee powdwer and sugar were suplied.
