Family run business. So 90 year old papa who designed the place is in the house (singing:). Frank Lloyd Wright is an inspiration and that you can feel in the beautiful building. Imagine sleeping next to a waterfall and lush nature in busy busy busy Nairobi: here it is. And the good thing is: it's cheap. And you can get everywhere you want by Uber, so distance is not a thing.
For single travellers: here you feel comfortable. Just take an Uber taxi and you get everywhere you want. There is always the family and team that will make you feel at home.
Excellent basis for trips around Nairobi.
Excellent basis for a more longterm stay.
Norman and his team are aware of things that can get better, like for example breakfast. Some days it's excellent, some days just an ordinary breakfast. If you're not up to big fancy glossy glamour but you prefer a place with a heart: this is the place. It's not perfect but it's just great.

Beautiful place for nature lovers. Quite, safe, and the sound of waterfalls to sleep with. We loved every bit of the time spent there.
It becomes even special when the owners are so welcoming and give you the feel of a family.
Anyone considering staying here, GO AHEAD. You'll be the one writing this kind of review after your stay.
Everything was beyond expectations.

The tranquility of the property is beyond this world- a perfect place to reset and get in tune with oneself. Norman was a lovely host and Sarah's pancakes have to be one of the best I've ever had! Will definitely be back :)

Very serene location with falls; great view indeed. The staff was so supportive and kind, many thanks to Norman who made me feel at home. I will definitely make this my only residence in Nairobi
Breakfast options could be improved

Very peaceful and mind-relaxing setting. The staff is very kind and helpful in all situations. Easy to connect to many parts of the city via Uber.
The Villa is in a hilly setting so there are plenty of stairs which I like but it needs a bit of attention and coordination.

Just checked out after a lovely stay at Villa Rock-Stop. The villa is unique and full charm, set in beautiful area at the edge of Karura forest. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with amazing views of the waterfall, and breakfast was excellent. Most of all, the staff were all very friendly and attentive and Norman and his family were the perfect hosts. They went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable - arranging a visit to Nairobi National Park, preparing home-cooked meals, and offering help when I had an issue with my bank.

wonderful location
the room was very very tiny as well as the bed it’s not suitable for two people
the mosquito nets were also too small as they are round making you even not be able to move

The environment is beautiful as it is at the edge of the Karura forest with a waterfall just outside the bedroom windows. The staff were super friendly. It was overall an enjoyable shirt stay.

The staff are exceptional, and Mama Rosa and Norman are the perfect hosts. Lucy is an invaluable staff member who is so very helpful. The accommodation and location are the perfect place to recharge. I loved being lulled off to sleep by the jungle sound of the waterfall, which is next to the villa.
I can't find fault with the property.

Location was excellent! Near to my office (UN Avenue). Breakfast was basic but sufficient.
Nothing that I disliked; WiFi could be little improved so at all corners in the rooms it is available.

This is a very unique place in a fantastic location. Truly magnificent views, nature-harmonised architecture and excellent food. And there is a waterfall just outside of the property, making this place truly one of the kind.
Stuff is great and accomodating to your extra needs - i.e laundry (extra charged), breakfast times and late check in. By far, my favourite place in Nairobi!
Need to pay by cash/mpesa. Tip: if you have neither, you can use WorldRemit app on your phone and you are sorted!

Very nice villa in a very good part of Nairobi near many embassies & classy residences. Very friendly staff that provided great service. Owner is very helpful, responsive & accommodating. We had a very nice two nights stay. We also were able to use lounge & fridge in lounge. Close by Uber to forest park and shopping. Free water is provided. Hot shower.
All is well. Full size bed is a bit small for two but worked for us.

Very special location and architecture, great to sleep next to the waterfall. The staff is super friendly: they are so flexible and make delicious breakfast!
The rooms are a bit outdated, but it’s a fair deal for this price!

The place is in a great location and you can hear the relaxing waterfall from your bedroom and dining area... The staff is very kind and welcoming. A great experience and will definitely come back.
If I really have to find something it would be the shower head. But everything was really great.

It was a full breakfast that was good. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
I am not a “pet person” so having the cats & dogs roaming the lobby and outside area was not pleasant for me personally.

Very friendly and helpful staff. It is a place with character, located at the border of the Karura Forest, with rooms overviewing a waterfall. Few minutes away from the UNON complex.
WiFi could be improved.

really nice ambiance, cozy, amazing location by the woods and river. lovely staff. very clean. very relaxing. gracious host
it would have been nice to have had drinking water in the room upon arrival (but there is a water dispenser in the common room). i would have also appreciated having a water boiler in the room to make teas esp in the evening.

Distance from my work place in Gigiri was very convenient, while spent the trip at work Villa Rock offered this escape to nature being in Karura forest. The waterfall was loud but that's part of its beauty :) Warm welcome by the owners, felt like being among family. Spending evening in the living room and meeting other guests was also part of this nice experience..

The place, the statf, Mama rose who always welcomes you with a smile and you have to sit with Mr Vettel( not sure if this is how it is spelled) and listen to his stories. Norman is your guy, he is very helpful and he will always make sure that you are comfortable and happy. I havent mentioned anything about the place yet, which right next to a river and from your window you would see monkeys and a lot of birds!
Heaven ❤️
PS: Norman knows the city by heart, he can take you anywhere you want to try local activities and see the city’s hidden gems
If you come late at night you just have to call Judy for her to open the door for you, but always with her amazing smile even if you wake her up!

A dreamy house that makes you feel at the heart of the forest! And a very wholesome team.
The breakfast is correct, with fresh fruits and on-demand eggs.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Rockstop Falls!
Everything was perfect: the atmosphere of the place, the quietness, the kindness of the the team (big thank you to Judy and the owners to be always so great and for cooking so well :)), the view is amazing, the room is spacious and clean & the breakfast is delicious.
I have worked from there for a week and the wifi connexion is really good.
We will definitely come back!

Amazing hotel with beautiful architecture next to a waterfall. Very calm and serene place away from the noisy city center. Moving around is very easy with Uber and the neighbourhood is safe and full of green. Many thanks to Ms Rosy the owner of the place for helping us whenever we needed and providing us with great recommendations. All the staff is very welcoming and special thanks to Judith that checked us in late in night. We recommend this place 100% and we will go back for sure.
