Fun place for an Asheville getaway. Clean property and great location just outside the city and in the woods. Easily got Ubers from the house, although some had a difficult time finding the house. Downstairs game room was awesome. Had enough room for cornhole inside as well as other table games. Hot tub was clean and well maintained. Would recommend this place.

We really enjoyed this property! It was spacious and very well decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. The refrigerator was large enough to accommodate food for our large group (11). The master bedroom was large and had an en-suite with an awesome closet. My parents were able to spread out and were not cramped. The front bedroom was sufficient even though there was no closet space, we had plenty of room to spread our suitcases out. The half bath in the hallway was nice to have right outside of this bedroom. We had to share the master bath with my parents for showers. The basement was a great space to have a little fun away from everyone. The pool table and foosball table were a little tilted, but that did not stop the fun! It was COLD down there. We were unable to utilize that bedroom due to the temperature. The space heaters provided worked to take the chill off, but getting up to use the bathroom would have been too cold for anyone especially after a shower. The jacuzzi and outdoor sitting area outside were nice too. The back bedrooms were nice and the Jack/jill bath was plenty enough for everyone sharing it. All of the rooms were spacious and had plenty of seating for everyone. We did not feel cramped at all.
Let’s just say, this property was a very nice place to get together. The family had a blast and we would definitely book this home again!

Home was spacious, very convenient, and view was beautiful. Booking agent was awesome. Would definitely rent this home again.

Our first impression of the house was the overgrown entrance.
-read on an earlier post that it had been taken care of. It needs to, again!
-never went back to the basement after first seeing it and finding it was an unfinished basement that smelled musty with taped up furniture…inexcusable for what we paid Eliminating pool and Fusball . -Unable to use the fifth bedroom in the basement and bathroom, not connected & a basement bathroom became a no go!
-We shared beds that were full and queens w/ 2 & 3 to accommodate all that were there for the weekend. We found a fold out futon in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Asked for twin sheets & were told to take the sheets off the full bed in the basement for the twin, They told us to turn on the humidifier to take out the moisture. The description never explained the fifth bedroom was in the basement that smelled musty even with the humidifier and air conditioner running. We had young children & there was no way kids/parents could be in a basement with the other half upstairs.
-only one top sheet was provided or using the comforter that stays on the bed through all the guests.
-no clean blankets or extra pillows were provided.
-We made dinner one night, but the pans were unusable as they were all scraped up, and we had no foil to cover them. Trip down the hill to Ingles to get foil to use to make our dinner. On a positive it is a great location if you’re enjoying Asheville.

Another great year in Asheville. This is the 3rd house I have rented through Evolve.
The house was not exactly what I thought it was going to be but it was nice. A little dated in decor.
I do love being up in the mountains rather than in town. And this year we did Looking Glass Falls and Slippery Rock.
All in all we had a great time and we are already planning our trip for August 2024!
4.7
Beautiful home with great views and location! Convenient to the national forest, nature activities, and downtown Asheville. Very private, great for families/groups of 10 or less. The guest contact Brandy was very helpful and always quick to respond!
4.7
The location was convenient to so many things. The house was the perfect size for 9 of us. The kitchen was great and had most of what we needed. Having dinner on the deck was very nice, although the view does not look like the pictures anymore. The game room was musty, but still fun for the kids. The area where the hot tub, which is listed as a feature, was not maintained and overgrown.

We visited Asheville for a family reunion. This home was exactly as shown on the site. The five bedrooms gave each family member plenty of room. I frequently stay at VRBO homes, and this home had one of the best stocked kitchens I have experienced. The adults and children enjoyed the hot tub, the game tables and cornhole provided. The deck had amazing views and was enjoyed by all. We have discussed staying at this house again should we ever return to Asheville. As my three year old granddaughter stated when we were packing up, "I don't want to leave this house. I really like it here." Thank you for sharing your treasure.
4.7
The house amenities were amazing. Large family room for gathering. Main level bedrooms great. Super clean and dog friendly. Downstairs bedroom is huge but beware you are adjacent to the garage so very difficult to contain the spiders. You are on top of Bee's Mountain that "appears" to only have another house sharing the top with a one fit car road. Luckily we never met up .. amazing vacation!!
4.7
We really enjoyed the game room. It was exciting to see a bear in the driveway on the first day, but we didn't see him after that. The location is very convenient, so close to the action, but serene as well. Thank you for hosting our family getaway!
4.7
Just as depicted and more. Everything was clean. The kitchen was very well-stocked with essentials. Loved it!
4.7
The house was beautiful and in a great location. It was a short drive to downtown and local attractions, but remote enough to relax and enjoy nature from the deck and hot tub. There is a hiking trail right down the road which was convenient when we had an hour or two of free time and wanted to take a quick hike. There were zero surprises as the communication with the host was very informative and accurate. Would highly recommend!
4.7
Huge property. Basement game room was perfect for the kids. Great kitchen. Plenty of room to be together and stay apart.
4.7
Lovely location in the beautiful fall colors. Great access to everything you want to do. The house had lots of space for all of our group to spread out and relax. Lots of fun was had in the game room and enjoyed the firepit on the deck. The deck itself and furniture are a little "tired", feels like a well loved family house. Kitchen is reasonably stocked with mismatched dishes. No shampoo or lotion provided, make sure to pack your own.
4.7
Awesome house for a group of older adults who still like to have fun! Plenty of beds and space for everyone, we had a private chef come and make dinner and it was a great spot for it. The view is stunning and the hot tub is a great extra. It can be tricky to navigate up to the house and to order Ubers (not very well labeled) but we became pros. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful Property
We enjoyed our stay at this property! Beautifully situated close to town, yet secluded in the mountains. Everything was clean and the house easily accommodated our group of 10.

This home did the trick for our group of 8 friends enjoying a long weekend in Asheville. The home is as described by the listing, and we were very satisfied with our experience. Some things worth noting if you're considering this home for your stay:
1. The lower level (garage) bed/bath are just that, a bed/bath (not adjoined) in a garage that is not finished, but semi-converted into a game room/entertainment area. Please consider this if you require a fifth bedroom.
2. While only about a 15 minute drive from the heart of downtown, if you plan to rely on a ride share service or cabs to get you back and forth you may experience some difficulty. It often took us 30 minutes or more to arrange a ride from the house to downtown., and one couple in our group ended up having to drive themselves into town so as not to be late for a dinner reservation. Once downtown it was much easier to arrange for a ride back to the house.

We had 5 couples that visited Asheville for a wedding. This house was perfect for us. Plenty of room, great basement for games and hanging out and AMAZING deck to enjoy the views, drinks, and lots of laughs with friends. Great location tucked away and only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville.

Spacious home with easy access to downtown and hiking!
Beautiful home and great set up for a couples getaway! Loved sitting on the patio to watch sunset! 10-15 minutes from downtown and the blue ridge parkway! Uber/Lyft will drive to the house but could be unreliable at times.

One of the full baths and one bedroom is in the basement, which made the game room a little tricky when the room was being used for sleep by others. Otherwise, this house was perfect for our vacation with multiple families with kids. It was big enough that we could all spread out. They had propane for the grill and fire pit, tp, dish soap. We brought so many things and only needed the paper towels, soaps for the bathroom, and laundry detergent.

This home was well designed to take advantage of the views of the rolling hills. Our family of four (parents and two college kids) thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Asheville and our four-night stay here in mid-March. The home's best feature is a fantastic, south facing deck with a cushioned seating area and firepit that can be accessed from three rooms on the back of the house.
We found the main level of the house to be very comfortable, clean and in good repair. This included a huge master bedroom with ensuite flanking one side of the main living area - powder room, living room, dining room, kitchen, nook, and laundry - and two guest bedrooms with a jack-n- jill bathroom flanking the other side of the living area. The living room was perfect for watching movies, building the provided puzzle, and cozying up to a wood burning fireplace (chopped wood found outside garage). The large kitchen could handle more than one cook and had a well-stocked spice cabinet and some sealed grocery items in the refrigerator from previous renters. It took a little organizing to match up pots with lids, but cookware was ample and included a large crockpot, waffle maker, rice cooker and more. The master and two guest rooms we used were comfortable, had decent linens, and were spacious with plenty of storage in large closets.
The entertainment area downstairs with pool table, fussball table, and piano were a fun addition to our stay. And, the hot tub nestled under the deck was really private with plantings and was a toasty 104 degrees.
The bottom level . . . it is what it is. Essentially an unconditioned daylight basement in an extra, extra-large 2 car garage. A wood burning stove and some portable heating units can be used to heat the open entertainment area. Expect thrifted furniture in the TV viewing area. The workroom was more organized than shown in photos with a large tarp securing supplies against one wall. The enclosed bedroom had a wall AC unit not pictured. The 3-piece bathroom in the opposite corner of the basement was functional yet rudimentary.
Other things to expect . . .window coverings are nice but don't block much light. The master bath shower is a bit shy on elbow space. The jack-n-jill shower has a partially covered hole in the ceiling of the shower insert. An office by the front door has been converted to a bedroom and lacks a closet and shower access on the main floor.
All in all, we'd definitely stay again for $429/night!

I rented this home for my husbands 40th birthday. We had family flying in from all over. I selected this home primarily for the amenities (game room, hot tub…) since those were most important features to my husband.
The photos online did not accurately portray the state of the home and its amenities. There were broken boards, nails and other tools piled up in a corner of the downstairs game-room. Corners with wires and patched up particle board- made it feel like a frat house. I was so embarrassed. The home was not only needing a serious paint job and outdoor pressure washing, but needed a cleaning of all the furniture. Lounge chairs in the living room we’re soiled and extremely dirty. In addition to the unbecoming interior and exterior-the tools, broken boards, nails, gas cans, broken foosball table in the game-room was dangerous.
I’m grateful our kids didn’t come with us on this trip. The property contact was unwilling to receive feedback of the property’s unbecoming and dangerous state and told me the listing represented the property exactly-which was enraging because the photos clearly did NOT represent what we checked into for the weekend.
I’m extremely disappointed in this listing and will not be using evolve or any of its properties through VRBO again.

Sweet Stay in the Honeycomb House
My five friends who stayed in the Honeycomb House during a recent girls trip to Asheville--loved it. Honeycomb House combines the best of Western North Carolina---a location that is scenic with gorgeous views from the deck and yet close to everything Asheville. The house is spacious, comfortable and very clean. A winner.

This house was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 4 small children. The kids had space to run around, and definitely enjoyed the game room. The bedrooms were all a good size, and the back deck was delightful. With the large table by the kitchen and stools at the kitchen counter, we never needed to use the dining room for meals. It was great to have the garages and laundry facilities. Probably the only bad thing about the place is the one-lane road leading to the house, but we only encountered a car going the other way once!
