Spacious, modern room. Good storage, lighting.
Had no idea that there would be so much noise from the pub downstairs. We arrived late evening and were looking forward to a quiet stay and going to sleep. Unfortunately the noise from the pub came right through the walls making it difficult to even have a conversation in the room. Thought maybe this was an exception the first night but same thing happened on night two. There is no way I would stay here again due to this, even though the actual room was very nice. Stairs to get to the rooms are very narrow and steep. I have reached out to the property regarding our negative stay however have not received an acceptable resolution.

We stayed at the One Tun Pub and Rooms for three nights in June and enjoyed our stay. The room was nicely appointed and the bathroom was spotless. There were complimentary water bottles, candy, cookies, potato chips/crisps, and coffee pods in the room. The TV had lots of channels (although we couldn’t find any from the US) and the wifi was fine.
Even though the rooms were above the pub, the noise wasn’t a problem for us. In that area of Central London, many people are drinking inside and outside the bars after the work day ends so it’s quite a scene.
The location is a short walk from the Farringdon Underground Tube Station and Elizabeth Line underground coming from Heathrow. There’s a Sainsbury's Market about a five-minute walk away. If you buy alcohol or use a US credit card at the self-serve checkout there, an attendant needs to come over to approve that.
We had a Thai food dinner at the pub with a 10% discount and it was very good. We also had dinner just down the street at the Sir John Oldcastle Bar. They have very good prices for a “meal deal” with a burger and beer. They don’t have wait staff to take your order so you have to do that on a phone or at the bar. They then deliver it to your table number. There’s an odd “no music” policy, but it’s very noisy as everyone seemed to be talking loudly. Even so, we liked it so much that we went back again the next night.
The only downside at the One Tun is that there’s no elevator and the stairs are extremely steep. Dennis and the staff were very helpful to bring our heavy bags up to our room when we checked in and back down again when we checked out.
The price for the lodging was as expected for the area. We had a nice stay so we’d recommend it.
Just the very steep stairs.

What a hidden gem. 5 minutes on the tube from Kings Cross and only a short walk from Farringdon tube station a great place for getting around from. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful both before our arrival and during our stay. We also ate in the pub itself in the evening and the food was absolutely delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough and I’m sure we’ll be back again another time.

Stairs quite steep....but I was dying from a 4 week old chest infection. No germs left on premises!

Great location close to Farringdon tube/train station. Nice room and surprisingly quiet given it’s above a pub

Cosy room, super comfy bed, no outside noise from the street.
Room has all amenities you require - hairdryer, ironing board, bar fridge, coffee machine. Check in was easy and staff efficient and friendly. Very handy for exploring London.
.
A choice of milk. Only soya milk capsules available.
Yuk, horrible!!! The free bar of chocolate in the fridge was a nice touch.

The accommodation was in a good central location. The room was clean and of a reasonable standard. The bed was comfortable.
There were so many stairs to climb to our room which for my husband and me was a challenge. There was only soya milk available in the room and although we stayed two nights the towels etc., weren’t replaced.

This was really one of the nicest hotels I ever stayed in in London. I had the room in the top floor. It was very spacious and it was quiet. There were extra windows so no disturbance from outside, not usual in London. The staff was super helpful with whatever I needed! Loved having the Pub and really good food so available. Loved everything. Loved the little coffee and tea selection and having fresh (!) milk for my coffee!! Would stay there again, no doubt.

The property was quirky and decorated really nicely. The room was modern yet within keeping of the properties features. The room was spacious.
On first impressions, the room looked lovely, fresh and clean. The staff were very welcoming which was nice.
We were disappointed that there was no milk in our room and also we didn’t receive the 10% discount on the meal and drink we had in the restaurant downstairs. The food was really nice though to be fair.
We were extremely disappointed that on further inspection (in the morning whilst remaking the beds) we discovered that there were some stains on the edge of the bedding (duvet) which looked like blood and also it was ripped. My friend also noticed that there were holes in the towels provided when she’d just had a shower which I wouldn’t expect from a boutique hotel at all.
All in all, the location was fab for us, staff and food were great, just a few minor details let it down.

Excellent accommodation. Huge room and huge bed. Very quiet - even with the window open. Would definitely look to stay here again.

A clean and cosy little lodging with a superb location in London.
We somehow missed the information that there were no lift in the building. As I need crutches to move about it was a bit cumbersome. Suppose I can't blame the hotel really, but it is important to know that there is no lift. Upon informing the staff about my situation they gave us a room that was easier to get to compared to the one assigned.

The One Tun Pub & Rooms is so awesome, I found myself telling everyone I know who goes or lives in London to have their next stay or family friends stay there. The boutique hotel decorations and comforts were exceptional. Loads of design brilliance everywhere you looked. The cubbies for clothing and hiding suitcases were designed perfectly. The bathroom was entirely modern but not boring. The design carried from space to space flawlessly. We even had a private, outdoor terrace off our room! Then there was the coffee service in room. Every convenience you could want including a frother for your milk. And they provide little bottles of milk every day - just ask. Tea kettle, snacks, and fresh bottles of water daily. NO plastic. The location is tucked away on Saffron Hill and yet just a stone's throw from the Tube. The "pub" noise was not an issue AT ALL. The pub was for after work visitors and quiet over the weekend. In every direction walking distance are excellent cafes', restaurants and little parks. We walked to St. Paul's. Visually stimulating. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED The One Tun Pub & Rooms. Excellent value.
This is hardly significant, but if not dealt with, could bother a future visitor: Keep up on the dusting.
