Was s’nachts verdwenen.
Kendriks x was heel vriendelijk om met alles te helpen. Zelfs shirt van hem gehad met b&b er op. Ontbijt was heel goed met dank aan Rachel en Dennie. Staf was fantastisch.

Such a great experience ! We spent a night on these hills in a very cosy lovely chalet. Steven brought us through the night on a bumpy adventorous natural street up to the lodge. View and landscape are amaizing. Mia and Ranzel are lovely and very helpful patrons. We had a flat tire; their staff fixed it within minutes! Delicious breakfast with view, all done with care and love. Thank you so much!

Amazing views, comfort, excellent service and very friendly and helpful staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and also the horseback riding tour and the amazing full body massage that Raquel offers. David and Steve were exceptional hosts and were quick to answer any questions and provide assistance when needed. Thank you for an amazing vacation!!!!!!!!
I didn't have cell phone service and most of the residents in the area only spoke Spanish, which I unfortunately could not speak. Maybe to help those without cell service to draw a map or take a video on making the Right turn turn at the clinic to the dirt road, as most rental car navigation systems stop giving directions at the clinic on the left on 10. You MUST rent a 4x4 to get to the lodge and please add extra time to your drive coming from San Jose' airport as traffic congestion is really bad and there is only a one lane winding road going and coming, which can slow you down because you have to stay behind buses and 18 wheelers, making the drive much longer. The lodge however does provide transportation up and down the mountain if needed, which was a great help!

The property is gorgeous. The cabins are beautifully built and really cozy. We stayed in the Sunrise cabin and had total privacy. We took tons of hikes and enjoyed walking to breakfast each day at the main house. We didn’t have a 4x4 but scheduling a ride up was so easy.
Nothing!

Everything!!! The Cabin, the views, the property, the Sloth the Toucans, Raquel and Daniel, dinner, breakfast - all so thoughtful and with love! We live in Costa Rica and cannot wait to return to this magical place! Muchas gracias!!
There was NOTHING to not like!

We had an awesome time at the lodge, which is in a beautiful and remote area (you are going to need a 4x4 or they’ll come and pick you up from the bottom of the trail). You are surrounded by nature and everything is really neat and clean! Breakfast is excellent! We did an horse riding tour with Walter and we just loved it! we spent only 2 nights but would love to spend some more time! The management was very friendly and helpful! totally recommend it! 10!!

Amazing location, high above Turrialba.
We stayed in the far sunset cabin (5 min walk from main area) and my parents stayed in the Toucan cabin. The Sunset cabin was much quieter and had a view across an unpopulated valley - we saw loads of birds. The Toucan cabin overlooks the Turrialba valley and the volcano. We preferred the sunset cabin as it had a more spacious balcony that the four of us could sit on. The water pressure was much better in this cabin.
Breakfast was amazing - really good. If you want dinner you'll need to order it from a local family - this was also good.
A great place to chill out and watch the birds.
Expect peace and solitude and come to switch off.
The information regarding trails could be much improved. There is one well marked trail that you can walk in 30 mins. Any other trails are poorly marked and we didn't find any decent maps. As a result we ended up taking my 80 yr old father down a very steep trail that hadn't been used for a while and it was much too challenging for him.
You do need a 4*4 to access this property - ours struggled with one of the slopes, and this was in dry season. You can't enter or leave the property after 5.30pm due to the risk of driving these roads in the dark.

The view was spectacular, so glad we booked here. Since this place requires a 4x4 to get up the hill, it's a bit more special in that it's more removed. We we're happy to spend one day just hanging at are cabin and relaxing.

The remote location in combination with the friendliness of the owner
that we did not book for a longer stay

Incredible location on top of the mountain. Nothing but nature. We had a cabin completely off the remaining part of the lodge. We spent the evening on the balcony - just listening the sounds of nature and watching the animals/birds around us. There was NOTHING around us other than woods and animals. Unbelievable experience. Also the hosts Mia and Ranzel were SO SWEET. They equipped us with vegetables from their garden and lights for the night and they were so incredibly friendly. Kitchen was greatly equipped so we could cook a nice meal in the evening. Breakfast was equally amazing with fresh eggs from the ranch and plenty of fresh fruits etc. We deeply regretted that we didn’t stay longer. Highly recommended.
I personally would have preferred a bigger pillow but this is literally the only tiny little thing that I can tell we didn’t absolutely love about this place.

This was by far the best place were we stayed (out of four different top rated hotels & lodges) of our short Costa Rica tour. The place and surrounding gardens are amazing, the view over the Turrialba Vulcan is unbeatable, the quietness and peacefulness of the scenery are fantastic. The bungalows are beautiful, cozy and quite complete, with a small and conveniente kitchenette. They feature an amazing varanda with breathtaking views to the vulcano. Both the owners and the local manager were unexceedingly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room views were equally amazing.
Nothing. But this is a small lodge on a top of a hill and the last 2Km of the access road are quite rocky, bumpy and steep in some sections. While not muddy, a 4x4 with good clearance is required -- the 4x4 is advisable since the gravel in some steep sections may become slightly slippery. I did it without major problems with a 4x4 Toyota RAV4 and I have limited experience with off road driving. Anyway, it is not a place to go in and out several times a day :-). If arriving in the evening, it is advisable to bring some food supplies or to check if it is possible to secure dinner in advance with the manager or owners.

It's typically the king of place where you have this special holiday feeling, where nothing can happen. So peaceful.
The place is incredible with one of the most beautiful view I had in Costa Rica.
The lodge is like a small studio, you have everything you need to cook, relax, WiFi, warm water.
Our hosts were extremely kind and took care of us.
We regret that we had 1 night only
It's not a negative comment but mostly an advise for the next travelers.
Park the car at the bottom and take the ride with the host and the bungee.
The road is really difficult and the bungee a lot of fun

Absolutely stunning location! Well-equipped house with nice terrace to enjoy the views irrespective of the weather. Lovely hosts. Huge breakfast. Nice road uphill!

Breathtaking view and quietness. Because of the high altitude, comfortable temperature and humidity level. Delicious breakfast from local ingredients.

it’s a really special place. super nice. super view and the owners are very warm
the access is complicated with the car, but they offer you the option of picking you up on the road. this way could be easier if you are not super experienced with the 4x4

Wonderful place.
If you have 4x4 you can access yourself..otherwise they pick you.

The hosts and managers of the property are very friendly, welcoming and help you with everything! It is a large, wonderful and well maintained property. The surrounding nature and the view from the cabin was stunning with an amazing sunrise to watch in the morning! The cabin was nice with a great veranda and well equipped. All in all we had a wonderful stay there and can highly recommend it!
The road to the property is very difficult to manage even with a 4w car, I think. But they pick you up, if needed, so that's not really a problem if you know it in advance. The shower was very cold.

We loved the seclusion of the location, the hosts, the provided breakfast, and the bungalow itself was comfortable, equipped, and had a great view.
Nothing other than the drive up the dirt road took some getting used to for me as a city person.

The place is near perfection! Amazing spot with outstanding views. The hosts received us with open arms and we felt at "home" from the beginning. Really glad I found this place. Breakfast also excellent. I cannot recommend this enough.
Only advise: if you want to go to the property you should have a 4x4, otherwise it is almost impossible to go uphill the last 2km.

Wonderful location high up above the valley, rustic but nice cottages with splendid views to the valley and Turrialba volcano just across, large and well maintained garden with a wooden platform, good breakfast in separate building next to the cottages, very nice manager Steven who helped us organizing a Cocoa plantation tour; the last 2-3km are a challenge drive, however we managed it even with a standard SUV (Hyundai Tuscon) and had a lot of fun on this road!
