nada
Imposible descansar por culpa del ruida de una obra que habia justo enfrente. Nadie nos aviso de este hecho. Además, la luz de nuestra habitación se iba constantemente. Muy mala experiencia.

Absolutely nothing except the bar.
We asked for an early check in. Understood that we couldn’t get it. But then we had to wait until 7:00PM to get in our room. They offered us something off the room service menu on them. But we had to pay for it. The room was dirty. The tv didn’t work for the last 2 days and the internet didn’t work either. We paid a lot of money for an extremely under par stay. We had stayed here before and it was much different. We wanted to leave but knew we would be charged for the 2 days anyway! It was an absolutely horrible experience. We will never be back. And I would really like to be compensated for the horrible experience. It was absolutely awful 😡

The location is great
There is major work going on so very noisy the rooms that are left are very aged and not clean
3.3
The hotel was quite clean. It was nice that the hotel could store our baggage after checkout so that we could visit a couple of museums without dragging the baggage. The location of the hotel is good.
The interior looks like something from the 70's. The mini-bar was not stocked at all. The room temperature was warm/not conducive for sleeping. This could not be changed due to "the renovation". The TV was on a wall on the side of the bed.......difficult to watch. There was a power outage after dark which lasted 2-3 hours. This seemed to be only at the hotel and not the whole street. The price of the room was expensive.

There is no bath gel in the bottle. The shower always oscillates between too hot and too cold.
The floor is very dirty.

GREAT BREAKFAST AND AMAZING STAFF
RENOVATIONS WERE BEING. DONE WHICH I WASN'T TOLD AT THE TIME
3.3
Check in staff were great only thing the concierge didn't really give correct Information to our river cruise which departure point was just across the road from central station he sent us to a completely different location which meant we just made our trip by 30 seconds
Shower over bath getting into the bath to have a shower was a little bit hard for us, there was a slip mat to use in the shower which was very handy.

The staff was excellent. A lot of construction going on, and despite that our stay was very enjoyable.. I do think they need to improve the gym amenities.
They need a treadmill and a stairmaster. All they had was a bike and weights.
My husband’s only complaint was the Construction aspect, but they still did a great job!

Paying over $400 for a room where they then charge $60 for a crappy breakfast seems excessive.
Charged for breakfast.

The hotel and staff were top-notch. It was in the perfect location where we could easily explore Barcelona including experiencing excellent restaurants.
Nothing. My wife and I loved the hotel.

Location was brilliant and the breakfast was lovely
The coffee machine was broken and the breakfast had no donuts one morning.

good location, near Amsterdam Centraal and restaurants. can walk around to see the hot spots within 15-20mins
there’s an ongoing construction and the access to the lift seems like a maze. wuite noisy during the daytime but becomes alright during the night time. anyway, we are not in the room during the daytime so nonissues there. only if you come back in the midday to recharge, then the construction noise becomes bothering

The location of the property was perfect in walking distance of most places. I booked this for my husbands belated birthday and the receptionist bought us some cake and drinks was not expected but much appreciated.
The noise was awful and woke us up every morning except one while we were there. The hotel did state there was construction while we were there but this was more like demolition. I don’t feel like they should charge full price when they have such works going on. I have stayed in other hotels/ resort when they have had work but never to this extreme. They were literally pulling a whole side of one part of the hotel down. The work started at 9am so woke us up and then was all day until 6/7pm. I didn’t feel like we got to relax in our hotel room as the noise was unbearable. It felt like we were under a heli pad when we first woke up due to whatever machinery they were using. The noise could be heard through the whole hotel. I have stayed at other hotels while they have construction but it’s never affected my stay as it’s always been to a minimum noise wise. I have videos of the noise but unable to load.

nothing.
This hotel is under renovation. It is not even mentioned on your website.
There was no heating in the room, the breakfast room is a broom cupboard, the reception is in the basement, there are no facilities whatsoever. This hotel is a joke, should be closed till the renovation is over. All other guests shared this opinion.
And this makes me wonder how I can trust booking.com

Room was comfortable.
That's it. Nothing else in the hotel was good.
Definitely the worst Renaissance I have ever stayed.
1. I arrived around 1 pm and also put a request during booking reservation for an early check*in (if possible). Guess what happened. After a long trip from Turkey which started at 4 a.m. in the early morning and I was so tired, Reception said "your room is not ready!". OK, no problem! I know normal check-in time is 2 p.m. I could wait for a while. BUT, THE ROOM WAS GIVEN TO ME AT 5 (FIVE) PM. 3 hours later than the normal check-in. And, Renaissance even did not apologize.
2. Second night, I had a lot of work to do and decided to have in-room dining. I tried to use the telephone in the room to give my order. BUT, NOT WORKING.!! There was only one solution: re-dress, go down to the reception and report that the phone in the room is out of order and give the order for in-room dining. Anyway, surprisingly food arrived in 20 minutes. But, the room telephone has never been repaired until the end of my stay. I am sure, it is still out of order. For a world-class brand "Renaissance", I really consider these as a shame!
I have stayed many Renaissance and Marriott hotel all over the world, but for service quality Ansterdam Renaissance was definitely the WORST.

location
Access to the lounge area was prohibited even though I was a club member

Love the breakfast spread! There were both savoury & sweet items which are yummy.
The condition of the place looked more run down than shown on pictures. The heater was capped at 25 degree & room still felt very cold. My children had a smaller room though & was fine.
