The staff were friendly and very professional. Our room was excellent, food and drink was great and there are many was to keep busy at the hotel.
That we didn't get to stay longer

Iconic town. "Interesting" and distinctive. Destination restaurant.
Tub instead of a shower. Overpriced.. Tight spiral staircase. Closet afterthought, behind chair. Away from the town. Mediocre breakfast.

The property is beautiful and the room was charming. It’s a decent climb to get back up from town but the views are well worth it. The bistro dinner and breakfast were delicious. My wife enjoyed her massage at the spa.
The pictures of the pool looked amazing online but it was closed when we were there in late April. Patio heaters and a heated pool would have gone a long way to live up to the advertising. Also, with a Michelin rating we expected much more out of the restaurant. Maybe I’m spoiled with Louisiana seafood but they would have a hard time staying in business in New Orleans.

Everything was beautiful and authentic.
It’s look like a fairy tale property.

The bistro is a good surprise. The food is delicious and homey, and it offers a good alternative from the fine dining also provided at the hotel. The facilities allow you to enjoy the view and be relaxed without the need to leave the place at all.

amazing place you didn't want to leave

We stayed two nights at this lovely estate and really enjoyed the facilities, including the pool area, the on-site bistro, and indeed the “Le Donjon Michelin★” restaurant. We experienced a truly dedicated staff with a high and professional approach to making our stay comfortable.
We experienced the organisation of the breakfast as poor and unorganised, and very much in contradiction to the rest of our stay. On the first morning, we could not be served coffee. The explanation was “we are out of cups”. We wanted to grab some food items from the buffet but, there were no (clean) plates… “the plates are in the dishwasher”, we were told. Then we realised that there was no more bread left and were informed: “the bread is coming soon”. After 10 minutes it came but it had to be heated for another 20 minutes. That is 30 minutes waiting time to get a slice of white bread. We asked for fried eggs and were each served two unappetizing over-greased eggs floating in cooking oil. We raised these issues with the reception and were compensated for the price of our first breakfast. The second morning, we decided not to order fried eggs but scrambled eggs. The answer was “we are out of eggs”. Not exactly what you would expect of a breakfast restaurant in “the perfect getaway destination for gourmets and cuisine lovers.

Amazing views from the terrace. Delightful pool. Staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Incredibly hot duvet for summer bedding. Breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing.

The room was very comfortable and well presented. The Bistro restaurant served delightful food and the service was excellent. The outside seating areas are well position to watch the wonderful sunsets over the sea. Complimentary canopes with evening drinks were a bonus and very tasty!
Nothing

excellent location
no airco of fridge in the room

Great location and ambience. Facilities are nice.
Staff not fully focused. If I am standing in the bar I don’t want to wait for the bartender to complete restocking the fridge before being able to order a beer…

Very beautiful castle, original design, amazing territory.
Late check in (from 15:30).
Very narrow stairs (almost impossible and inconvenient to lift a heavy suitcase upstairs. No such service/assistance offered)
No breakfast included for such a price.

Absolutely gorgeous property! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and you can have breakfast in your room! Breakfast was very delicious!
I visited with my son to go hiking and didn’t realize when I booked that the hotel seems more geared towards couples, but that was my own fault lol It was still a fantastic stay!

We loved the location, food (it was delicious) and the staff of the hotel. Really friendly and willing to help.
During our stay there were WIFI issues and staff told us this is the problem in whole Etretat town, but in the restaurants downtown everything was working and connection was good.

Such a beautiful boutique hotel that gives you la dolce vita vibes and laid back relaxation in stunning surroundings. From the pool to the decoration of the rooms and the setting I didn't want to leave! Breakfast and complimentary tea and cakes at 3pm were delicious and home made with local produce.
Nothing really!

the location is beautiful. the hotel itself is beautiful. the view is stunning
for a 5 star hotel it is a little weird that the bar starts open from 15.00...and there are only 4 snacks to choose from and they weren't even fresh.. the oysters.
no minibar or fridge in the room...
the bathroom tiles floor is quite dangerous/slippery when wet...
the lady at reception wasn't very friendly..but that was just her. the rest was very helpfull.
the music played at breakfast was ridiculous: top 40 housemusic for teenagers. and quite loud too. when I complained about it they changed it to more fitting morning music.
the swimming pool didn't have the same classy vibe as on the website photos. the furniture was different and wasn't the same style.

Amazing view from this place, nice and welcoming staff, amazing very tasty kitchen. We even didn’t want to go out)) We had a huge comfortable bed with very clean bedclothes.
