A very lovely hotel.

It is near the Tube. They have a lovely Garden, 2 places to have breakfast. The staff are very nice and accommodating.

Otani the main is Japanese essence.

Central to all cbd Tokyo's cities. Great public transport. Non western meL flavours hard to find. In smaller cities eat early asrestruants are packed. The New Otani Japanese garden is a gem.

Meal prices astronomical.. Plenty of grocery stores nearby for breakfast items & eat in room.

A James Bond era hotel with a stunning garden in the middle of Tokyo

The location was close to things we wanted to do but not walkable. The upside was that this dates 60s grande dame of a hotel is its own resort. Stylish , 60s Japanese grandeur with a great garden that is both unexpected and spectacular. The pool is Vegas for kids without the fake boobs.

The beautiful bathroom was quite dates and it might be time to upgrade the bathroom or at least the shower curtains to stop a flood

Not very good value for the money

Hotel staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. There was three different restaurants to choose for breakfast. Breakfast was nice and sufficient. Hotel's garden areas are beautiful. Location of the hotel was quite good: metro stations about 10 minutes' walk away.

Hotel was like a time capsule to the 1990's. Room (and the hotel) needed desperately updating and renovation. The pool area is only available for club members and people with executive rooms or suites. "Normal" room holders are charged separately if you want to use the pool area (I think the price was 7000 yen per person per day). Buffet dinner at the sky restaurant was a huge disappointment: food was not tasty or hot and it was overpriced especially when the city is full on really good restaurants with reasonable prices. You can get a much better food for a fifth of the price elsewhere. Other areas of Tokyo offer much better hotels with cheaper prizes, so would not recommend this one unfortunately.

Riesiges Hotel mit schönem Garten und Aussicht

Die Aussicht vom Zimmer war grossartig, auch Frühstück kann man von der 40sten Etage aus geniessen. Der Garten war schön und das Hotel bietet alles, ohne es verlassen zu müssen.

Das Personal war nicht immer freundlich und ich hätte mir auch einen Transfer nach Haneda gewünscht.

Super großes Hotel mitten in Tokio

für die Größe des Hotels sehr gut organisiert, sehr freundlich, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind 10 Minuten erreichbar (sowohl U-Bahn als auch JR)

Wir waren im Tower, den ältesten Bereich des Hotels und das hat man leider an vielen Orten gesehen.

一流ホテルと思っていただけに失望した。

チェックインの際に宿泊条件に提示されていなかったデボジットを宿泊代をはるかに超える50万円分を要求され、不愉快だし、まったく納得できなかった。せっかくの滞在が台無しになった。こんな条件があるなら予約しなかったし、いずれにしても宿泊条件は正当に提示すべきた。

ホテルが観光地と感じさせてくれました。

とても綺麗、ロケーションは最高でした。ただ　ニューオータニクラブに入って行ったのにローズガーデンへの入りかたが分からなかった事が残念でした。

少し気になった事は　上司のかたが　私達のいる前で若い子を注意している事が気になりました。服装の事や手順が違っていたと言う事なのはわかりますが、客には見せない方がいいかと思います。サービスが良くなることとは思いますが若い方の事が心配になります。

Australians visiting New Otani Hotel

The whole experience was wonderful, making my visit to Tokyo an amazing experience. My family also loved their stay, especially the buffet breakfast, staff hospitality, cleanliness, and grateful to have toiletries available during our stay.

* The bed was slightly too firm. * Would have been great to have self-service laundromat facilities at the hotel for guests to use. * Expensive laundry services.

Sehr sauber. Fantastisches Bad und täglich erneuertes Zubehör (Kosmetik, etc. von guter Qualität). Die Grösse des Hotels, viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten unter einem Dach.

Zu harte Betten - schlaflose Nächte. Check in nach 24 h ermüdender Reise grundsätzlich ab 15:00 Uhr.

Overall service level was disappointing, the staff seems disconnected and lacks hospitality. Wouldn’t be staying at the hotel again and I’m afraid shall not be recommending to other travellers

I think the location of this property is impeccable. Gorgeous waterfall and GARDEN!

Room- It was spacious and overlooked the japanese garden and had a view of mount fuji on clear days. Garden- Oh my god i was transported when I was in the garden and I will visit again simply to experience it again! It was marvelous! Location- Spectacular location away from the crowded neighborhoods and felt safe and was clean and beautiful! Coffee- Very tasty

The enthusiasm in staff was missing and although this is a luxury 5 star hotel, it doesn't show in aspects of interior and the hallways and in the taste of the food. It was a bit dark and you can tell there is a bit wear and tear in the rooms. The bed was a bit hard bit really big. I think there is room for improvement in terms of style and decor and lighting.

Einmaliger Park mit Wasserfall. Alle Angestellten überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstüch auf der 40. Etage mit Supersicht! Erstaunlich gut organisiert bei den Massen, die da beherbergt werden.

Anstehen fürs Frühstück. Wurde aber immer recht gut gehandelt und es gibt div. Möglichkeiten. Alles recht weitläufig, die Orientierung ist nicht immer einfach

Jardim lindo, o resto nem tanto.

Café da manhã ok, bem padrão. Não era ruim, mas normal. O hotel tinha três restaurantes disponíveis sem custo adicional na minha reserva. Um deles, exclusivo de comida japonesa, estava bem vazio. Os demais, muito cheio, sempre com fila. O hotel é utilizado para eventos, como congressos e casamentos. Nesse sentido, tem várias lojas muito bonitas no andar térreo e no B1. O ponto alto desse hotel é o jardim, que é lindo, tem mais de 400 anos.

Não é segredo atualmente que o cartão Wise funciona mal no Japão. Mas ele funcionou bem nas transações online. Todas as outras três reservas que eu tinha feito com a Booking, eu pude pagar adiantado, em ienes, pela Wise. No New Otani, eles têm uma política de cobrar somente na saída. Eu até solicitei a cobrança prévia, logo após o checkin, porque o valor era significativo e precisava saber se precisaria trocar dinheiro no caso do cartão não ser aceito. Mas não pude ser atendido (e eu falo japonês), devido à política do hotel. No final, no checkout, o cartão Wise não funcionou e tive que usar um outro cartão. Não foi legal isso. O hotel é grande, então tem muitos hóspedes. É sempre muito cheio.

全てにおいて完璧

スタッフの対応が完璧でした。まずフロント対応のスタッフも英語と日本語両方で説明してくださり、ディナーや日本庭園など親切に教えてくれました。ルームカードを持って出るのを忘れ入れてしまいましたが丁寧に対応してくれました。また、彼の脚が捻挫してしまったことを伝えると応急処置もしてくださり、とても助かりました。本当に感謝しかないです。

Loved the people and the place

Even though I’ve seen more beautiful hotels and bedrooms, what I loved was how nice and helpful were the concierge and people inside the hotel. All of them were really nice, they helped in all different ways, they spoke good English. The breakfast was good, there’s also a nice garden in which you can have a nice walk. Really suggest this place :)

Very convenient location It's in the centre of Tokyo

The building is old. The lobby and shopping arcades are like from the 80s. There was a USB charging port at the bed side but when the room light was off, the elect supply was turned off too. so we couldn't use the charger while sleeping. Not very convenient.

Though not the most modern of hotels, it was certainly comfortable and not lacking in facilities.

The location and the facilities were excellent. There was a good choice of restaurants in the hotel.

The bathrooms were a bit dated though they did function well. The outdoor swimming pool could do with a revamp.
